There are two ways of looking at this. You're either sad that the show and movie universe is separate because we could have had an awesome Green Arrow and Flash cameo/movies. Or you're happy they're separate so this pooh pooh won't stink up the show-verse.
Arrowhead77 - 10/21/2014, 4:23 PM
Meh, Im not excited about it, but I am willing to change if he blows me away as Flash
staypuffed - 10/21/2014, 4:23 PM
Excellent choice!
GhostBusterPro - 10/21/2014, 4:23 PM
really people actually support this horrible casting?
needles94 - 10/21/2014, 4:23 PM
anybody who actually thought the tv and movies would cross over is dillusional
needles94 - 10/21/2014, 4:24 PM
@GhostBusterPro remember when Heath Ledger was horrible casting?
patrat18 - 10/21/2014, 4:26 PM
Grant is a tv actor for a reason.
TheDude - 10/21/2014, 4:30 PM
I just can't see him had the flash, he looks like more of a kid than Grant. Maybe he'll be impulse? Why is it hard to find a blonde flash?
Super12 - 10/21/2014, 4:30 PM
I'm ok with Grant Gustin not being Barry Allen on the big screen. But this little girl? Sorry, he's a great actor and has some good chops, but I'm not convinced he can pull off Barry Allen. We're probably in for a slightly emo, cynical, ultra-sarcastic Flash instead of the fun-loving, upbeat, All-American kid from the midwest.
Super12 - 10/21/2014, 4:31 PM
Also is there a shortage of blonde actors out there or what??
CaptainPresley - 10/21/2014, 4:32 PM
There is no such thing as TV or Movie actors anymore.
BabyGroot - 10/21/2014, 4:35 PM
Are the comments still [frick]ed up? I can't see my comment.
BabyGroot - 10/21/2014, 4:36 PM
Anyway... Ezra would've been better suited for one of the younger heroes, in my honest opinion. I'm just trying my hardest not to let my inner fanboy hate him for being casted in this role, but he's really [frick]ing talented. Who knows? He could go Christian Bale, get ripped, or anorexic or fat whenever he chooses. I just hope this casting makes sense and stays true to the character, that is all!
Saoshyant - 10/21/2014, 4:36 PM
Just want to remind people that when they announced Grant a lot of people said he was wrong because he was too young, too scrawny, didn't look like a superhero and nobody had heard of him.

When the movie does the character justice nobody will care about who is playing him. At least that's what an actor's job is after all.
dapussy - 10/21/2014, 4:38 PM
So.... the Flash is gay now.
Saoshyant - 10/21/2014, 4:43 PM
At this point I want them to make Flash super gay and change the red to pink just to see you guys heads explode.
SuperPickle - 10/21/2014, 4:58 PM
Some of you people are so [frick]ing stupid it makes my brain hurt.

He's an ACTOR. Playing a PART.

If you tools had any idea how many of your favorite actors in roles were gay, your heads would explode. And if you have that big of an issue with a gay actor playing a role, then you don't know SHIT about the whole idea of superheroes.

For [frick]'s sake, people. Homophobic shitheads.

I agree with @Saoshyant, I hope they make The Flash gay and he has a love scene with Dick Grayson or something, just to watch your heads explode.

Stupid [frick]ing asshats.
Tevii - 10/21/2014, 4:58 PM
My distaste for this casting has nothing to do with whether or not he is a good actor. He's a fine actor, just a horrible choice for the part. I could see him as Nightwing, Robin or Red Hood loooooooooooong before Flash.

but hey, Warner SUCKS at casting so whatever.... Jason Momoa is freakin awesome, but he's not Aquaman. he's more Hawkman or lobo
NetmanTripleSec - 10/21/2014, 5:00 PM
Terrible. He looks like an Asian Russell Brand in the face and effeminate shemale. This is the worse casting for a superhero movie I have ever seen in my life. It's like they're not even trying. They want an Asian looking dude for this part to fill their diversity quota because WB wants the Justice League to be like a united nations with superpowers per the rumors last year. This is that plan coming to fruition as they shit all over The Flash.

And the people saying he is perfect and terrific are in love with stunt casting and are a bunch of Snyder bot naif sycophants who are betraying the characters because they either do not know them or do not give a damn about them, all they care about is their PCness and stunt casting. It is obvious WB does not give a damn about The Flash with this shit casting....and now the fairies that flock to defend this shit are providing the lube and making sure there are no interruptions while Zack the hack Snyder and WB confinue to rape the Justice League, all the while calling you a racist and a bigot for disliking this horseshit. This casting is the nail in the coffin for the already shitty DC film universe that Ben Affleck V Snyderman: Dawn Of Jam-It-All-Into-One-Movie plans to start.

These are the same naifs who would defend and agree with the studio that:

Jack Black would've been a perfect Green Lantern. They'd even provide manips of him for sure.

Sean Penn, Nicholas Cage, and Will Smith being Superman.

And Marlon Wayans being Robin.

Halle Berry as Catwoman.

And Jeniffer Lopez or Eva Mendes as Storm.

These are all ideas that people that want Ezra Miller as Flash would approve of and many of these shitty ideas are from the same people that want Ezra Miller as Flash, the latest and the worst in their long line of bad ideas. Ezra Miller as The Flash is worse than every one of those I listed, worse than Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman if that's even possible, which it is, this proved it, and Eisenberg as Luthor.

Fact is not every off the wall stunt casting is a Heath Ledger or Michael Keaton; those are exceptions, in fact, most of the time stunt casting is always, always bad, which is what made Keaton and Ledger's special; stunt casting is usually always shit, like here and the others I listed.

Doesn't matter if Daniel Day Lewis is a great actor with a great body of work or if Antonio Banderas is, I don't want to see either of them as Luke Cage because they're simply are and that's it.

If Dennis Rodman were announced as Shazam tomorrow, not five comments down would be some jackass saying how it's the same as Keaton and Ledger and how you're a racist and a bigot for disliking it; those are also all the people who voted anything positive about this casting in the poll.

If Jennifer Lopez or Eva Mendes were cast as Storm these are the jackasses who'd be saying how great it is and how great it is brown people are getting parts in superhero movies and how it's not 1941 anymore and the Latino community deserves to have this part in a superhero movie and how it's the next Michael Keaton or Heath Ledger casting and you're a bigot and a racist if you disagree.... meanwhile I'll be over here saying no they're all wrong for the part and terrible choices for the character and are nothing like Ororo Munroe and have no business playing them.

But I'm the bad guy.

[frick] you fake comic book fans. [frick] WB. And [frick] Ezra Miller as The Flash.

Viva LA Barry Allen! Viva la Flash! May he be strong enough to survive this evil disaster and may the CW Flash show keep strong in this dark time for Flash.

Tevii - 10/21/2014, 5:01 PM
Saoshyant - my issue is that if marvel can actually hire actors that look the part, why cant Warner bros?
There are so many characters that diversity isnt an issue, so why not hire to make the long time comic fans actually feel like they are watching a movie based on the comics they have loved for so long. Why make unnecessary changes? the answer is poor and antiquated marketing research
Tevii - 10/21/2014, 5:02 PM
NetmanTripleSec - nice!!
teinen - 10/21/2014, 5:03 PM
They should have cast the Rock cuz he's huge. Omg he's so huge. I could care less if these guys can act or whatever, as long as they're HUGE.
