Fox Moving Ahead With Movie Based On Mark Millar and Leinil Francis Yu's SUPERIOR
There had been rumblings about this in the past, but 20th Century Fox are now officially moving ahead with a big screen adaptation of Superior, with Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn set to produce. Hit the jump for further details!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox have no picked up the rights to Superior. There has been talk of a movie version ever since the comic book from Mark Millar and Leinil Francis Yu made its debut back in 2010. Matthew Vaughn - who directed another Millarworld adaptation which will be released later this year called The Secret Service - is set to produce, a search for a writer is expected to begin from now. There's no word on a director, but it would certainly be an interesting project for Vaughn. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Superior, it focuses on a 12 year old boy who is stricken by multiple sclerosis. When an alien grants him one wish (to become his favourite Superman-like superhero), he gets to live out his fantasy.
