New International Trailer For THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE Released

Featuring a few brief new snippets of footage, hit the jump to check out this 40-second international trailer for Francis Lawrence's rather brilliant looking sequel to The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

First one was a big "meh" for me. Another Netflix viewing in store for this one and the first one sat in my cue for a while and I started and stopped watching it a few times before I finally made it through.
CptHero - 7/25/2013, 8:22 AM
I hope it won't be crap like the first

I really liked the first one and this looks just as good.
charlie2094 - 7/25/2013, 8:45 AM
Looks great! First film was surprisingly good and having now read the books, really excited for this one! Sure the idea of having people battle in a arena was done a hundred times (it has been) before Battle Royale, to the countless "rip off" claims to come.

Not too keen on the third book though, and since they're stretching that into two, worried about those ones. This looks like it should be even better than the first though!
EpitomeofAwesome - 7/25/2013, 9:09 AM
looks cool

A bit overrated but still worth watching in the theater. Will see Thor: TDW twice before I see this two weeks later.
NoAssemblyReqd - 7/25/2013, 10:41 AM
My interest in the film series dropped off dramatically after reading the 3rd book. Catching Fire was a satisfying read, though.
