SKYFALL And DJANGO UNCHAINED Gain PGA Best Picture Nominations

The Producer Guild of America has announced their nominees for its Darryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures, and Skyfall has surprisingly gained a nomination alongside Django Unchained.

The Producers Guild of America has officially announced its nominees for the prestigious Darryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award in Theatrical Motion Picture, ahead of the 24th annual Producers Guild Awards being held on January 24th. The awards are usually a good indicator of what to expect at the Academy Awards, for which the nominations will be revealed on January 10th. The below list contains many of the predicted choices for Best Picture (such as Zero Dark Thirty, Les Misérables and Argo), but the biggest surprise is that the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall, is among the ten nominees. Could this be the first time that a 007 movie will get a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars? We'll see. In my opinion it should be between zero dark thirty and skyfall but knowing the movies that have won in the past I doubt either of the two will win.

Haven't seen Skyfall. I have Casino Royale on DVD, but I don't normally watch James Bond movies.

Skyfall is by far the best movie on the list and of the year. I've never really be fond of Bond movies but Skyfall is just brilliant.

Skyfall is the best Bond film but it won't get a Best Picture nomination (even though it deserves one). The PGAs always get one or two wrong. Like last year I think it nominated The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Django was really good, but I don't think it will win. It's too raw for Hollywood.

@marvel72 stop trolling kid seriously. TDKR was already nominated the best movie of 2012 through a whole bunch of different sites just to remind you if you forgot those articles already.
