ABC To Air Back-To-Back Episode Of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Next Week

Dealing with the fallout of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, this week's instalment of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be aired a second time, with "Providence" (the episode which will introduce Major Glenn Talbot to the Marvel Cinematic Universe) following it. Read on for details!

Don't miss one heart-pounding moment as "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs back-to-back episodes, which follow in the footsteps and tie into Marvel's new feature film, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," Tuesday, April 15 on the ABC Television Network.
From 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET, an encore presentation of the previous week's episode, "Turn, Turn, Turn," airs, in which Coulson and his team find themselves without anyone they can trust, only to discover that they are trapped with a traitor in their midst.
From 9:00-10:00 p.m., ET, the story continues with a new episode, "Providence," which finds Colonel Glenn Talbot on the trail of Coulson and his team, who seek refuge in the last place anyone would look, where they begin to uncover S.H.I.E.L.D.'S most dangerous secrets--secrets that could destroy them all. Bill Paxton guest stars as Agent Garrett, Patton Oswalt as Koenig and Adrian Pasdar ("Heroes") as Col. Talbot.

This is good news for fans of the ABC series, and it should be very interesting to see how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. tackles the fallout of Captain America: The Winter Soldier this week. The fact that they're planning on airing the episode a second time ahead of Talbot's debut could be an indication that his arrival in the Cinematic Universe means big things to come, or that they're counting on a ratings boost as their latest movie continues to find box office success...

Arrow doesn't need to air two episodes back-to-back...because it's better! ;)

Oh boy, then we get it's inevitable canceling!

batz11 - 4/7/2014, 10:57 AM
Ha, ha Josh, I think the last AoS was actually better than the last ep of Arrow...
ALegendaryPanda - 4/7/2014, 11:00 AM
That's pretty cool! This show is actually getting a little bit better
Pasto - 4/7/2014, 11:01 AM
I didn't think either the last ep of Arrow OR the last ep of AOS were good. Both were meh-tacular.
ALmazing - 4/7/2014, 11:01 AM
@JoshWilding lol

Also, can't wait

Pasto - 4/7/2014, 11:09 AM
When we get that headline telling us about AOS's demise, I'm going to kiss everyone I see for the rest of my life. I will truly be a happy individual.
anthonyEstark - 4/7/2014, 11:10 AM
Right, but they really don't need to Josh, because we'll be seeing Turn, Turn, Turn tomorrow night as well. Also, Arrow is almost completed with it's second season, while Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is still on it's first.

Tymminator - 4/7/2014, 11:12 AM
Great show.
jascurio - 4/7/2014, 11:16 AM
This is show is great
superbatspiderman - 4/7/2014, 11:16 AM
@JoshWilding - Agreed. Arrow can take its time because it is a hit show.
Invictor - 4/7/2014, 11:17 AM

If Arrow aired two episodes back-to-back, I wouldn't know, because I don't watch it.

JoJo1982 - 4/7/2014, 11:18 AM
Dang maybe they doing that to make all those damn skips it had over the second half of the season
JoeMomma29 - 4/7/2014, 11:20 AM
LMAO @ all the comments.......

Those hoping Shield will be cancelled will be disappointed - out of the shows on that Network its rather popular and Marvel has the funds to get a second season even if it wasn't. Not to mention they want it to continue until Avengers; Age Of Ultron.

AoS has improved greatly. Although I still prefer Arrow, the drama, dialogue and acting in AoS is far better than Arrow now. If Arrow could get that shit together, it would be a truly great show. The action is commonly film worthy and the basic story is great.
QuestiontheAnswer - 4/7/2014, 11:23 AM
Make Agents of SWORD!
QuestiontheAnswer - 4/7/2014, 11:25 AM
I have a feeling Constantine will raise the bar.

AoS's ratings are twice as good as Arrow's. If Arrow is a hit then Agents of SHIELD is a phenomenon.
Invictor - 4/7/2014, 11:29 AM
This is the only Arrow I watch

GodzillaKart - 4/7/2014, 11:29 AM
@JerBear: Is AoS really that much higher?
MrBatmor - 4/7/2014, 11:29 AM

A basic version of ultron or the project"insight" is some how connected to this show..also hydra is still active,...von strucker said it...he could also be the villan!
BrandoCalrissian - 4/7/2014, 11:31 AM
None of you dumbasses can read. It's not two new episodes airing back to back. It's this week's episode airing again next week, followed by the new episode.
MrBatmor - 4/7/2014, 11:32 AM
Yep last weeks Aos was definitely better than arrow...also the acting and the production value(sometimes) in arrow is horrible!!
MercwithMouth - 4/7/2014, 11:32 AM

We all know that.
MercwithMouth - 4/7/2014, 11:33 AM

Thank you for keeping your flame-bait crap until the comment sections! You're finally growing up! Yay!!!
MrBatmor - 4/7/2014, 11:35 AM
@brando yes man because you are the only one here that can read. comment here indicates that anyone is thinking , two new episodes will be Aired back to back...
ATrueHero1987 - 4/7/2014, 11:36 AM
This is GREAT news because I will miss this weeks episode. So I can catch it the following week!
MercwithMouth - 4/7/2014, 11:37 AM
Sorry George

Invictor - 4/7/2014, 11:39 AM

MercwithMouth - 4/7/2014, 11:41 AM
Lol. Top shelf flame wars...
MercwithMouth - 4/7/2014, 11:42 AM
Lol George, don't worry. I've never even seen Arrow, I just have no interest in the character.
Invictor - 4/7/2014, 11:44 AM

Dude, your own spin-off series is going to get more views than the main series itself.
MrBatmor - 4/7/2014, 11:47 AM
@george yes arrow is better because you think so...great logic!!
MercwithMouth - 4/7/2014, 11:47 AM

Follow the XMen and TASM threads. Looks like nuclear war on them.
