Love the show and can't wait for tomorrow. I've got the feeling this cliffhanger they are talking about will definitely be sparking up some conversations.
GamerKT - 12/9/2013, 10:24 PM
How is Arrow? I saw the first episode a while ago. It was cool, but I wasn't 100% hooked. Should I try it? And how bad is the relationship drama? I hate that shit.
MightyZeus - 12/9/2013, 10:24 PM
I have to admit that was pretty good.

I like it.
PsychoManiacJacky - 12/9/2013, 10:25 PM looks like this show is getting better. What the heck have they been doing the past episodes NOW this is what we want to see!

soforizo - 12/9/2013, 10:54 PM
That actually looked pretty great! Would be nice if they weren't made up thugs, but it looked good.
MrBatmor - 12/9/2013, 10:59 PM
Ok...this was good!! I would like all the episodes to be like this!!!iam actually waiting for this episode!!!
jojofmd - 12/9/2013, 11:23 PM
As we are nerds, we feel the need to compare this and Arrow. Honestly there is no comparison. One is a show about the origin of a superhero in a world that doesn't have superheros. (as far as we know) The other is a story about dealing with the superheros we know about while finding and taking care of new ones, along with threats. Arrow is a good show, some relationship drama etc. but anytime you have complex relationships that's bound to happen. Both are decent shows. I prefer Arrow but enjoy both.

Definitely looks like a step up from the norm, which is well needed. If they can keep Peterson on the team, or at least someone with superpowers, it will force them to step up the action, just like in this clip. My only fear is that this will simply be a 3 minute scene at the climax of the episode, and then everything will be resolved and cleaned up a scene later. Hopefully this is where some overarching stories start to take on a bigger role in the series, and we can get some action that lasts longer than a scene or two and has an actual impact on the story.

Mike Peterson looks a lot lankier in the jumpsuit though, that's for sure.
TheVirgin - 12/9/2013, 11:27 PM
Wow, looks good. The show definitely gets better. Hope that Mike Peterson will be a permanent character in the show eventually, because we need to see a superhero like him to bring the superheroic feeling to the show, and its very logical.

I have been watching Star Trek the original series lately, from the pilot episode until the 9th episode were quite boring, from the 10th episode until the end were fun and some were epic.
LexHairFight - 12/9/2013, 11:29 PM
The movements aren't really better in one show or the other, it's more the camera work. Major networks probably aren't going to go for all the fast cuts during fight scenes.
soforizo - 12/9/2013, 11:44 PM

Look I love Arrow and all, but I want AoS to be good too. While I have a preference for actual comic book heroes and the such, this looks like a big step in the right direction. If AoS keeps improving overall then both Tuesday and Wednesdays will be great nights.

Also, just cuz producers had said it wouldn't be about superheroes and supervillains, it don't mean that they can't change their minds and show them more frequent. I've said all along that maybe producers read the boards just like the Arrow folks, if that's the case then they possibly could modify the show just as Arrow did in response to fans. Cheer up!

Okay that's fair, but at least it's a great 3 minute above what we were used to, so it's improvement. I agree that the storytelling needs to improve, but I honestly feel the show and the writing has been evolving from that first batch to now. Its evolution has been somewhat erratic, but its headed in the right direction.
NovaCorpsFan - 12/9/2013, 11:52 PM
Can't wait for this episode. Looks like the best yet.
MercwithMouth - 12/10/2013, 12:00 AM

Battabing - 12/10/2013, 12:27 AM
Hey AoS! See Arrow?

Do dat!
marvelstudios - 12/10/2013, 12:39 AM
Looks good. Really interested to see whos behind the centerpede enhancement.
DEVLIN712 - 12/10/2013, 12:40 AM
I'm a big fan of Arrow, but... The first 6 episodes of Arrow weren't amazing, they were a time for finding what works well.
Looks like AoS has found it's thing
patrat18 - 12/10/2013, 12:43 AM
-_- NO!
WruceBayne - 12/10/2013, 12:46 AM
Fitz & Simmons have got to go. I know you need your "Techie BIG Brains" and all but those two are as annoying as the McDonald's Hamburgular. I hope in they find a grenade with the pin missing.
Darlene1974 - 12/10/2013, 12:49 AM
Might as well use Universal

ALmazing - 12/10/2013, 3:46 AM
@marvelstudios- "whos behind the centerpede enhancement."

MsDarkPhoenix - 12/10/2013, 4:32 AM
Hey Desrow! See DC fanboys?

Don't do that!

Seriously, have you even seen the last episodes? It has gotten way better and it keeps improving!
FerFogs - 12/10/2013, 4:44 AM

Generic AoS vs Arrow comment = check

See what I did there?
Bekss - 12/10/2013, 5:15 AM
Stop being assholes about this. Arrow is a different type of show, and it's not that great, it depents on cameos and other characters to be interesting.
And the ratings, you are so proud of the ratings. The rating always go down until they introduce some character from the comics. And the ratings aren't that great, with a really good show it doesn't matter the channel (see The Walking Dead for example, breaking records). Maybe AoS have a low rating, but is because NCSI, the last episode of AoS had 9.69 millions viewers because there was no NCSI. And in any way more people see AoS than Arrow.
fortycals - 12/10/2013, 5:23 AM
Looking good.
ALmazing - 12/10/2013, 5:35 AM
How about watch both shows and make up your mind. Both shows have great stuff but at the end is all about what type of stuff you like.
JoeMomma29 - 12/10/2013, 6:06 AM
Was that Hancock?
DurtyTalynt - 12/10/2013, 6:16 AM
Stoppex watching this show after three episodes. So dissapointing.
GinjaNinja - 12/10/2013, 6:32 AM
People should watch the show again. It is getting pretty cool, only thing I don't like is the score. I don't think its really that good. Other then that I love it,
RetroFit - 12/10/2013, 7:00 AM
Again, so painfully generic. Even when it could be awesome it's killed by it's complete and utter lack of seeming connection with the Marvel Universe. Just a bunch of generic stereotypes that look like actors on a set. I'm not even impressed with this action. The only thing I've liked about the season so far was when Scorch burned that redhead lady down in front of the elevator. And again, he was a generic character burning down a generic character.

They have given us ZERO reason to care about these stories or characters. Where's the over-arching story? WHY DOES THIS SHOW EXIST?? Until the writers and producers can answer this, it will labour in mediocrity. Or worse, as it has been.

P.S. I can't STAND Skye. But I despise Simmons far worse. She always has that same worried Ronald Weasley look on her face. How does someone like that even get accepted into SHIELD, let alone picked for a team like this? She's terrible! As both a character and an actress! And she looks so much like Keira Knightley after eating a lemon that I want to punch my TV! Very distracting, but not in a good way like Keira Knightley.
ThePowerCosmic - 12/10/2013, 7:07 AM
Haven't been super impressed other than a few episodes, but stop acting like Arrow is so great the dialogue effin sucks and it's full of teenage pretty boys and girls. It's a typical CW show based on a comic book.
RetroFit - 12/10/2013, 7:10 AM
Arrow is the perfect model for how to make a TV show based on a comics world. They've had what, 30-40 characters from the comics show up already? And not a bunch of nobodies, either. Deadpool, Deathstroke, League of Assassins, Flash, Black Canary, China White, Merlyn, Count Vertigo, Huntress, Brother Blood, Bronze Tiger, Firefly, etc.

SHIELD has had how many recognizable characters? 2? Maria Hill had 2 lines of dialog in the pilot and Agent Victoria Hand had about 3 lines of dialog a few episodes ago. That's it.

RetroFit - 12/10/2013, 7:13 AM
What makes Arrow great in my mind is the over-arching narrative and the flashbacks to the island. And how the 2 tie into each other and drive the story forward, provide character development and keep it constantly interesting. SHIELD has nothing like this at all. So far the only thing tying any 2 episodes of SHIELD together is Centipede and John Peterson. And that's been pretty weak so far. Why didn't they just use AIM? Or a division of AIM? The possibilities could have been endless. Create a story that can be told over a complete season like a 24 issue comic series brought to life. It's really not so hard to do.
