AGENTS OF S.H.E.I.L.D.Theory: The Clairvoyant's Plan

AGENTS OF S.H.E.I.L.D.Theory: The Clairvoyant's Plan

From what we know from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, the spoilers we've got from Captain America the Winter Soldier, and what we know about Avengers Age of Ultron so far, I've come up with a theory on what's The Clairvoyant's master plan is.

Before getting into the Clairvoyant's master plan, we must know who the Clairvoyant is. Like most people I'm banking on the Clairvoyant being Modok, or at least a version of Modok.

We now know that the Clairvoyant's identity will be reveal in Captain America the Winter Soldier, and as we all know Modok has an intense hatred for Cap, and has an extreme desire for world domination. We know the Clairvoyant has access to extremis, which further the theory of Modok being the Clairvoyant. We know S.H.I.E.L.D will be compromised, most likely by Hydra in Cap's sequel, possibly meaning Modok is now in control of A.I.M, Hydra, and S.H.I.E.L.D, giving him all the resources on Earth he could ever need to carry out his master plan. We know Modok has the twins imprisoned, and will most likely use them to carry out his plans, which could be the reason the Avengers won't get along with them at first. We know Cap will be made a fugitive in his sequel. We know Tony destroyed all of his armors, except his Igor armor, since his Igor armor was the only thing keeping himself and Pepper from being crushed to death. We know a Hulkbuster suit will be made in Avengers AOU, and it will do battle with the Hulk. We know there will be an army of robots, possibly an Ultron army in Avengers AOU.

Now for the Clairvoyant's master plan. First he wants to make the Avengers enemies of Earth. He's made Cap a fugitive in his sequel, most likely meaning he's done the same to Black Widow and Hawkeye. I believe A.I.M has gotten their hands on Tony's Igor armor and modifies it to make the Hulkbuster armor to force a battle between it and the Hulk, so that they will create so much needless destruction that they too will become enemies of earth. By doing this the Avengers will be forced underground, giving Modok the opportunity to create an Ultron army to help his super soldiers and the twins with his plan for world domination. The only problem is that Modok banks on being able to control the twins, but they end up joining the Avengers to help take out the Ultron army and Modok's super soldiers.

So what do you think? Is it a sound theory? Let me know below.

No, this is not a "sound" plan. I couldn't hear shit.
sikwon - 3/20/2014, 3:47 PM
I think that there are some elements but as a whole, no I don't think so. Although I do buy into a grander scheme. Some kind of master baddie pulling the strings.
RextheKing - 3/20/2014, 3:51 PM
After some more brainstorming I might make a part two involving General Ross/Red Hulk and the Leader.
Dumegg - 3/20/2014, 3:54 PM
Im goin with either Redfords character or Zola.
If Alexander IS Zola in disguise then so much the better.
ruadh - 3/20/2014, 4:07 PM
Yeah, I'm definitely in the Zola camp. Maybe Zola and MODOK will be merged, but still.
Praetorian - 3/20/2014, 4:20 PM
I'm guessing MODOK's team would be: Graviton, Blizzard and somebody else.
dethpillow - 3/20/2014, 4:29 PM
this would be such a waste of Ultron, it would be crazy to use Ultron like this, i think.

anyways, is it true that there was some kind of promo for AOS that showed a chair, in reference to the Clairvoyant?
i think i read that somewhere, someone saying, "yeah, especially since they showed the chair, it's gotta be MODOK."

anyone see anything like that?
ruadh - 3/20/2014, 4:37 PM
I have not.
wookiefit76 - 3/20/2014, 5:12 PM
@ deth

Yeah! I saw the chair promo. But that still doesn't mean the Clairvoyant is MODOK. If I recall, he also had a bunch of monitors in front of him. Maybe he just has cameras in everyone's eye and pieces stuff together that way.

@ Rex

We don't know if Igor is blown up or not. And just because Tony blew everything up, doesn't mean he can't build more. How does Hulk-Buster explain MODOK? I'm still lost on that connection.

Also, how does the Clairvoyant having access to extremis, further the theory of Modok being the Clairvoyant?

Does the Clairvoyant have the twins inprisoned, or does the Baron? Are they imprisoned or are they in quarintine?

So what's the deal in Avengers 2 with Ultron if the big baddie is MODOK? Sorry, this just doesn't add up.
RextheKing - 3/20/2014, 5:24 PM
@ wookie. Hulkbuster doesn't explain modok but explains a the idea of someone else building it. Tony just destroyed all his suits for Pepper so it would make since that he wouldn't build a new suit so soon.

Hansen and Killian created extremis and both work for AIM.

If I remember room right Baron is suppose to be one of the Clairvoyant's super soldier. I may be wrong.

Who knows, it's too early to tell... That's why this is just a theory.
Dumegg - 3/20/2014, 5:29 PM
Whoever he is, he is a Hydra bad guy. Alexander and Zola from Cap II are Hydra.
Baron Strucker from avengers II is Hydra. It just makes scense that the Clairvoyant
Is as well. AIM really has no place in any of this. Marvel uses Agents of Shield to
Promote their movies, its all connected. AIM and MODOK dont really fit in.
RextheKing - 3/20/2014, 6:21 PM
@Dumegg

AIM doesn't fit in?
Dumegg - 3/20/2014, 6:32 PM
Bro.... zola is hydra.
RextheKing - 3/20/2014, 6:34 PM
@Dumegg ... and Modok is AIM
Dumegg - 3/20/2014, 6:45 PM
Where do you se MODOK. That guy with the face in his bellly is ARMEN ZOLA.
How do you think he survived til present day.
They hinted to that in the first Cap movie when you see zola looking into the
Magnifing glass.
dethpillow - 3/20/2014, 6:47 PM
@wookie - ok, i see. so nothing overtly MODOK, cool.

RextheKing - 3/20/2014, 6:52 PM
@Dumegg your right, my bad.
dethpillow - 3/20/2014, 6:52 PM
yeah, MODOK's a whole different origin and whole different thing, even tho they're both kinda ugly weird looking face guys. hahaha. i can see the similarity.

that said, i don't necessarily think that the Clairvoyant needs to Hydra, in fact if i had to be forced to profess whether it was or not, i'd say no... i bet Clairvoyant--- not Hydra. but i don't really have any good reasons why.

but that's Zola yeah, no MODOK reference. i can see Zola working for AIM if it didn't pan out at Hydra, but i think the bad guys in Cap 2 are gonna be Hydra, AOS someone else.

anyways tho, i can't wait til Red Skull gets back and catches up with Zola. cuz Skull's not gonna be too happy about that guy, and snitches get stitches. and Skull's crazy. let's do the Red Skull right this time, and second he gets back and sees Zola, it's on. and Zola's gonna be shredded dogmeat five minutes after that.
dethpillow - 3/20/2014, 6:53 PM
i guess if dogs ate humans, which they don't really. not often at least.
that doesn't make any sense to say that i suppose.
RextheKing - 3/20/2014, 6:54 PM
Still doesn't mean that AIM doesn't fit in though. One like I said the use of extremis could be a connection to AIM. Second, AIM was originally made as a subdivision of Hydra.
Minato - 3/20/2014, 6:54 PM
Arnim Zola is the clairvoyant
Dumegg - 3/20/2014, 6:56 PM
No prob. Who knows, they might try to combine the two
Characters into one. They both have big heads in little bodies
Syndrome.
RextheKing - 3/20/2014, 7:03 PM
@Dumegg Marvel is known for doing that, so maybe.
ruadh - 3/20/2014, 7:07 PM
"Tony just destroyed all his suits for Pepper so it would make since that he wouldn't build a new suit so soon."

I don't really think that was about destroying suits. It's not that she wanted him to stop being Iron Man (which he clearly states before the credits isn't going to happen anyway), it was more about how he was dealing with his PTSD, and having this distraction of making tons and tons of suits for any eventuality. Ultimately, it's just about him and dealing with things as they come. Ultimately, he IS Iron Man, and OF COURSE he will have a new suit. Most likely remotely controlled, but still.
MightyZeus - 3/20/2014, 9:09 PM
I'm assuming that the Clairvoyant is MODOK and Zola which is a mixture of two villains in one. As for the organisation that's backing the villain up i think it's Hydra, unless Zola took over AIM after Iron Man 3 when Killian died? There for Zola has three divisions backing him up going against "The Avengers" in Age of Ultron and increasing the threat. That's just my theory.
ruadh - 3/20/2014, 9:16 PM
Yeah, I kinda expect MODOK and Zola to be merged, ala Whiplash.
ROBBEATZZZ - 3/21/2014, 6:55 AM
wondering how did Zola escape the SSR and Col. Phillips
Steelheart - 3/21/2014, 8:05 AM
I found the promo in a thread, and here's a screenshot of possibly MODOK in a wheelchair
THORION76 - 3/21/2014, 8:22 AM
I SAW THE MOVIE LAST NITE AND I CANT SAY ANYTHING.
ROBBEATZZZ - 3/21/2014, 8:24 AM
DAYUM!!!!
MrSotoMan - 3/21/2014, 9:06 AM
Yea, I can't say anything either, but to be completely and utterly honest

This might be the last season of Agents of SHIELD.
beane2099 - 3/21/2014, 9:09 AM
I have no clue who the clairvoyant is. But I really don't think it's MODOK or the Leader (another popular guess). Personally I've thought it was Zola fom the beginning and that guess is probably wrong too.
MrSotoMan - 3/21/2014, 9:15 AM
@beane2099- You could be right in many ways actually.

Come April 4th, you could be right.
LMB10 - 3/21/2014, 9:25 AM
Zola ain't the Clairvoyant.
CorndogBurglar - 3/21/2014, 9:36 AM
Baron Von Strucker is the Clairvoyant
Cles - 3/21/2014, 9:53 AM
If the guy in the screenshot above is actually the Clairvoyant, who has money and advancements to create Deathlok, and that is the extent of his tech in his operations center, I'm gonna be pissed. FFS, it looks like one of the pieces is a VC[frick}ing R.
adamcawa - 3/21/2014, 10:13 AM
For the best easter egg in the entire movie, pay close attention to a specific gravestone. It might be the best easter egg in any Marvel movie, by far.
dethpillow - 3/21/2014, 10:13 AM
@SpiderAL - cool!!! thanx for posting!
Jarvis21 - 3/21/2014, 10:29 AM
SpiderAL: Where did you found this pics please ? :(
mamoonNorz - 3/21/2014, 11:02 AM
I hope they don't make M.O.D.O.K. look stupid. They should go by the look he has in the comics. They should make it happen without making him look funny.
