About Justice League: War

When the powerful Darkseid and his massive, relentless forces invade Earth, a group of previously unaligned super heroes – misunderstood and, in some cases, hunted by the authorities – discover the only way to fend off the attack will be to work together as a cohesive unit. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Shazam and, in his origin story, Cyborg combine their respective talents in an all-out battle to save the planet. Based on the 2012 graphic novel, “Justice League: Origin,” by Geoff Johns & Jim Lee, Justice League: War provides a glance into the world before the Justice League was created, and offers the initial animated incarnation of DC Entertainment’s “The New 52.”

The celebrity laden cast features primetime television stars Jason O’Mara (Terra Nova, Vegas, Life on Mars) as Batman, Christopher Gorham (Covert Affairs) as Flash, Justin Kirk (Weeds) as Green Lantern, Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds) as Cyborg, Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible III, Gone Baby Gone) as Wonder Woman, Alan Tudyk (Suburgatory, 42, Serenity) as Superman, Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) as Shazam, and Rocky Carroll (NCIS) as Silas Stone. On the villainous side, popular voice actor Steve Blum (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox) provides the voice of Darkseid, and Bruce Thomas (Legally Blonde, Army of Darkness) gives voice to Desaad.

Produced by Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, Justice League: War will be distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on February 4, 2014.

KryptonitePen - 12/19/2013, 12:22 PM
Looks really great but for some reason that voice just isn't Darkseid for me.
henchmen - 12/19/2013, 12:29 PM
I'm still confused on why they replaced Aquaman with Shazam for this movie. Aquaman's New 52 story is great!
MsDarkPhoenix - 12/19/2013, 12:30 PM
Wait a minute THEATERS??

Come on DC, was it really that hard to make a live action movie instead? Seriously???

Greenlantern1417 - 12/19/2013, 1:07 PM
Still no Aquaman and Darksied's voice sounds like crap. I'll watch it butnot sure if I want it for my collection.
pesmerga44 - 12/19/2013, 1:12 PM
Sorry a lot of bad voice acting in this trailer Darkseid, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern all sound really bad. Also noticed how Wonder Woman was able to block Darkseid's Omega Beam seems that power just gets weaker and weaker.
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 12/19/2013, 1:22 PM
Wow! looks great. Imagine this as a live action cbm. It would be great as the first JL film. Can't wait to pick this up.

SUPERSHADOWBAT - 12/19/2013, 1:53 PM
I do wish they would have used Aquaman instead of Shazam. Still, it looks great.
MsDarkPhoenix - 12/19/2013, 1:53 PM
@Gusto I'm making it right now! What do you want in it? I mean except for poison.
cipher - 12/19/2013, 1:58 PM
TheDarkPhoenix- Haha, make sure to stick around after he eats it.

The poison has him talkin' to the trees under the impression that they'll lead him to a chest of rum.
MsDarkPhoenix - 12/19/2013, 2:13 PM
@cipher I'll do my best, but if he isn't dead in 5 hours, I'll give up.

Gusto you didn't tell me how you want your sandwich!!
SpideyQuad - 12/19/2013, 2:25 PM
What is it with the new DC as to belts and pants lines, they almost all point downwards towards the groin?
Darlene1974 - 12/19/2013, 2:29 PM
Where is Martian Man hunter & Aqua man? ????... I'm disappointed now :(
Lhornbk - 12/19/2013, 2:30 PM
Ummm.....yeah, Superman's collar just looks stupid. He's not a soldier, he doesn't wear a tie, what the heck does he need a collar for?
lntrn8 - 12/19/2013, 3:15 PM
The pubescent riffs are . . . pass

Tevii - 12/19/2013, 4:02 PM
Im pretty sure this isnt going to be theatrical release. this is just going to be in the theater for this movie at the Paley Center.... kind of like almost all the DC Movies have been shown during comicon.
Liverpool4life - 12/19/2013, 5:11 PM
Looking forward to this. I need something to enjoy this winter since Captain America isn't until April.
poop23 - 12/19/2013, 6:26 PM
Looks awesome, just not crazy about the voiceover work, sounded very lifeless and as if it was just some jazz-station radio hosts mumbling about justice and the end of the world and the next kenny g album.. Also that kid voice that only makes me think of rug rats whenever i hear it

Still 1000 times better then any animation marvel is currently producing though
damntree - 12/19/2013, 8:01 PM
Oh no, Captain Marvel is in a movie instead of Aquaman!! It's the end of the world; how could they do this???

You [frick]s cry about everything.
Grabthemcakes - 12/19/2013, 9:26 PM
Definitely all over going to this premiere. I have attended these WB premieres before and it is a great time. More importantly I really enjoyed this story in the comics!
SpiderFraud - 12/20/2013, 4:46 PM
