LP4 - 2/15/2012, 10:20 AM
Bodies look kinda...squarish. But not bad, not bad at all. I'm an old school TMNT fan, this looks ok
Superheromoviefan - 2/15/2012, 10:25 AM
i will wait
i have mix feelings
BlueMex - 2/15/2012, 10:29 AM
looks OK. why is everyone going towards CG : starwars clones series, Green lantern animated series. I perfer good old paper and pencil with a little bit of computer magic
RobertDanger - 2/15/2012, 10:32 AM
So....they look like they all have down syndrome.
JackBauer - 2/15/2012, 10:34 AM
Shredder has pink eye?
OdinsBeard - 2/15/2012, 10:37 AM
hmm... have to see it in motion. right now it looks like some old PC game.

i assume it will all work out tho...
JDUKE25 - 2/15/2012, 10:39 AM
I didn't know Michael Strahan was playing Donatello

patriautism - 2/15/2012, 10:40 AM
The animation looks fine to me. Also, Remember guys you can't judge an animated series solely on it's art.
I mean just watch Spectacular Spider-Man and you will see why.
jimoakley666 - 2/15/2012, 10:41 AM
That looks really nice. Like the texture, the lighting and the artistic licence. Looks fresh and will appeal to it's market; kids. Not bitter comic nerds who haunt cbm websites. Ha ha.
ChronicleRules - 2/15/2012, 10:42 AM
this looks pretty cool, but why does don have a gap in his teeth?
Dedpool - 2/15/2012, 10:48 AM
Shredder and the foot look good but the turtles not so much. They look like Tweenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I mean Mikey looks like he's 11-12. Should've gone with a tweaked, more stylized version of the CGI Turtles from "TMNT."
Natetrix79 - 2/15/2012, 10:50 AM
What have they done to my turtles >:-( the turtles need some cool kinda Joe Madureira style art, or a Afro Samurai type of anime style would be perfect.
jessepostal - 2/15/2012, 10:51 AM
Whatever happend to good old regular animation?
ScootyPuffJr - 2/15/2012, 10:52 AM
Huh, they must be box turtles.
j2cool2 - 2/15/2012, 11:01 AM
I don't see why everyone's hating on the look, they look exactly like the ORIGINAL ninja turtles. Like 3D versions of the turtles from the original Eastman and Laird comic that started it all. Check your history. I think they look great.
Jer3miah - 2/15/2012, 11:10 AM
Ew. Looks like a re-constructed pile of cesspool.
BmanHall - 2/15/2012, 11:16 AM
Wow... I am very unimpressed with the CGI animation. I think Shredder should have looked more like this.

Demonseed - 2/15/2012, 11:19 AM it just me? Or does Shredder look a little like General Grievous?
NextHero08 - 2/15/2012, 11:19 AM
so...shytty....But that is the most badass Shredder to date!
Fogs - 2/15/2012, 11:20 AM
At first I was like "meh"

Then I saw it was pretty good material. Very solid, artistically speaking.
KNIGHT3000 - 2/15/2012, 11:22 AM
Is that a gap? Or is Donnie missing a tooth?
darthbobtarkas - 2/15/2012, 11:22 AM
Darn. The Toys looked cool.
Szznt - 2/15/2012, 11:23 AM
With all the detail put into them it looks as though they tried really had to make them look that stupid. The Foot clan look awesome though.
Drewsterville - 2/15/2012, 11:24 AM

PaulRom - 2/15/2012, 11:30 AM
Looks pretty mediocre, to be honest. Hoping the story/stories will be good for me to be watching.
l0oshkin - 2/15/2012, 11:33 AM
their feet look horrible, its like hannah barbara cgi
Destroyer14 - 2/15/2012, 11:35 AM
Why, why does Shredder look so awful?
ronnie42 - 2/15/2012, 11:38 AM
Don't like much, prefer the other series from the 90s, the TMNT series.
Stumblin - 2/15/2012, 11:41 AM
@monkeyballs3, I have some of the original books too, I can see some inspiration from that style. The original books the Turtles do have a boxy frame. These are definitely more stylized much like the last movie that came out. Looks like a mix of the two styles.

Personally, I wish they just stuck with the style from the last movie, I thought the Turtles looked great in that.
Bandrews1 - 2/15/2012, 11:42 AM
Not sure about how I feel about this just yet.
dahamma - 2/15/2012, 11:47 AM
Terrible looking, they can really make TMNT Gritty and dark if they wanted too, that would be so much cooler
JatevinM - 2/15/2012, 11:55 AM
I've really warmed up to this style for the Turtles. i will definitely be watching.
vinnie8519 - 2/15/2012, 12:24 PM
cant say i like it cant say i dislike....more of a mweegh.
if u know what i meam.
Roscoe182 - 2/15/2012, 12:30 PM
looks awful il give it a go tho . but i hate cgi cartoons
Sanderman - 2/15/2012, 12:34 PM
needs a snout....
HAQ - 2/15/2012, 12:34 PM
crap. ain't nothin' like the old one.
MatioShack - 2/15/2012, 1:19 PM
It's hard to judge animation from still shots. Sometimes an art direction makes sense in motion when it doesn't look good still. Wind Waker was like that. I think it has a Japanese feel in that it looks kinda origami, but with some traditional Japanese wood block painting. Plus, it's all about character and story.

People are going to CGI because it's cheaper, takes WAY less time, and can be edited more easily. It's just more cost/time effective.
Giraffehead - 2/15/2012, 1:27 PM
It would appear that people are just comparing it to their favorite show as a kid. Except you aren't a kid anymore and these turtles are not growing up with you.

I think we are really lucky that some work has grown up with us. but just because some isn't you shouldn't hold that against it.

This is a new run on the turtles, which means: they are trying something new. Try and judge it on it's own merits and wait to see how it actually animates.
