Not a bad show. Pretty entertaining.

This show is definetly better than I expected. I'll have to pick this up along with Adventure Time. Yes, I still watch cartoons.

It is a great show, I think that if GL is rebooted, then this would have provided an interest in the character that is positive.

IMO, this is DC's best animated series since Justice League Unlimited. Animation isn't perfect, but otherwise I think this show is great.

It's a good show. I have seen a couple of the episodes and look forward to the dvd set.

i hate it when they sell one season in Parts/Volumes,instead of just releasing them all at once in ONE SEASON. No parts!
Knightrider - 5/7/2012, 1:43 PM
Yeah, one of the big issues with the film, was they never really showed the universe it was Oa then back to Earth. Yeah they needed to establish more members of the corps, and keep it in space and Sinestro was like Hal's mentor for like 20mins, that is an insult to their relationship in the comics ad how it changed into rivalry. Instead what got some cliche geek and a gossip girl?! I love GL and like you said he has a uniqueness that the film pretty much ignored. Like did we ever see Hal at least visit any other planet in his sector?
Knightrider - 5/7/2012, 1:51 PM
I did say one of the big issues. Haha
Ceejay - 5/7/2012, 2:17 PM
Green Lantern's concept is pure cheese, no film about him will ever work because the average joe public can never relate to him like the more popular superheroes who have more direct human qualities and issues.
StarSpangledBruce - 5/7/2012, 2:19 PM
@grif You're forgetting Batman: The Brave and the Bold's DVD releases.
Tevii - 5/7/2012, 2:33 PM
I disagree with you entirely Ceejay. Froggy nailed it. A great Green Lantern movie is very possible. Despite his powers, he is still a human, with human emotions and problems and an ego that gets him in trouble. He was thrust into the hero role which just adds to the possibility of a compelling movie.

Knightrider - 5/7/2012, 2:34 PM
@Ceejay and @Frogger I have to agree that a Lantern film can work, and the example for it to work is Star Wars (Orginial Trilogy). GL should have been the comic book version of Star Wars strong characters, epic space battles and great drama. You make Hal relatable as he learns he is part of a bigger universe, like Luke Skywalker he struggles with this new responsibility and with te fact that his own world problems are quite small when compared to the bigger picture.
Knightrider - 5/7/2012, 2:36 PM
Plus GL is the perfect character to set up a JL film because they could encounter the out worldly threat first before it reaches Earth giving Hal a reason to be there. Much like in the New 52 JL comic he was tracking Alien activity
PsyGuy - 5/7/2012, 3:09 PM
Release it on Blu-RAy too, pls!

this is without a doubt THE SINGLE BEST animated series there's been since BATMAN TAS. IT'S AMAZING!
NO WAY im passing out on this!!!
DoomXfactor - 5/7/2012, 3:41 PM
Good show!
CeltiC527 - 5/7/2012, 3:55 PM
Am I the only one that's doesn't want GL to get rebooted? The only real problem was the script, there was nothing wrong with the cast. Just bring the Sinestro Corps in for the sequel and it will be epic!
Alex2814 - 5/7/2012, 3:58 PM
This show has really grown on me. Started out slow and pretty childish. I still think the animation is sub-par to the STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS and Atrocitus looks like a horse.
But the way the show is moving to the Red Lantern invasion is pretty compelling. Throughout the series, Mogo, St. Walker, and the Star Saphires have really gotten me into the story.
Hopefully Sinestro isn't far behind!

Ive been waiting to long to see this i cant wait!

I absolutely love this show especially the last episode. Ganthet getting banished and seeing the Manhunters destroy sector 666 was awesome and the music was spot on. The people they have writing this show needs to be put on the movie story cause they can handle character development and story with surprises very well than they have for the movies.

If they ever do another GL movie
1. Get a great story for the movie. Needs to have character development with surprises. They can keep the cast cause they were good but they didn't have a script to work with.

2. Not all characters needs to be CG. The guardians didn't need to be CG nor does the suit needs to be. They can save a whole lot of money by doing this.

3. Don't introduce plot points near the end of the movie like Hector liking Carol. You have to build that relationship from them being kids so audience can care for that relationship.

4. This movie needed to be at least 2hrs 30mins long. Not enough time to develop characters or have long enough action scenes.

5. New GL shouldn't be able to make constructs in 2 minutes of training.

6. If reboot should ever happen, do not recast Mark Strong. He is the perfect person to capture sinestro on the big screen. Probably the best casting in CBM history imo.
gmoney0505 - 5/7/2012, 6:20 PM

You are not the only one. The cast is good. It just people can not distinguish between bad script and horrible cast. If they don't like the story or script, people seems to point fingers it whoever is playing the character like the cast writes their own part.
CeltiC527 - 5/7/2012, 7:39 PM
@froggy yeah I get what you are saying but I think it was Reynolds that probably drew alot of non-comic fans to go see the film.
Tymminator - 5/7/2012, 8:56 PM
I hear this is pretty fun...I plan to pick it up.
