Kandor: a peaceful scientific community dedicated toward the preservation of all that is good on Krypton, the home world of Superman. That is, until the city was ripped from its world and placed into a small glass bottle! This is the short story highlighting the shrunken city of Kandor. Its history just as fascinating as it is unique, here is how it ties in directly with the Man of Tomorrow.

Featurette – “Brainiac: Technology and Terror” – An all-new featurette.
Mostly machine, but part sentient being, Brainiac steals cities and destroys worlds. Is he the most vile of Superman’s villainous foes? Experience the Brainiac mythology and find out why Superman barely stands a chance!
Audio Commentary – Featuring members of the creative team: Mike Carlin, Bob Goodman and James Tucker.

Four bonus episodes from Superman: The Animated Series (“The Last Son of Krypton, Part 1”; “New Kids in Town”; and “Little Girl Lost, Parts 1 & 2”), all handpicked by producer Alan Burnett.

Digital Comic – Excerpt from the graphic novel Superman: Brainiac by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank.

SUPERMAN: UNBOUND adds an all-new chapter to the growing legacy of animated films featuring the Man of Steel and his epic challenges to maintain peace on Earth,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Home Video Vice President, Family & Animation and Partner Brands Marketing. “Matt Bomer’s voice epitomizes the All-American hero that is Superman, and John Noble counters that tone with a commanding, chilling delivery for Brainiac. A superhero is only as good as the depths of his opposition, and Noble brings out the best in his villainous portrayal of Brainiac.

The voice cast also includes Stana Katic as Lois Lane, Molly Quinn as Supergirl, Frances Conroy as Ma Kent, Wade Williams as Perry White, Diedrich Bader as Steve Lombard, Stephen Root as Zor-El, and Alexander Gould as Jimmy Olsen.

I wonder why they didnt adopt Gary Franks style. If they can transfer Frank Quitely's to animation then they can do any.
JackRyan - 2/21/2013, 8:21 AM
not bad
KNIGHT3000 - 2/21/2013, 8:23 AM
They should stick to the Young Justice style
HavocPrime - 2/21/2013, 8:29 AM
Cool cool, so Flashpoint is next for the animated treatment, wonder if they will use the updatted costumes and such for future animated flicks
DangerRoom - 2/21/2013, 8:35 AM
Lois is painted up like a whore.
Jer3miah - 2/21/2013, 8:40 AM
Hm. The art style is... very cartoony. Not really feeling it, but not against it, either.

They need to make a two-part Knightfall movie.
shamo - 2/21/2013, 8:41 AM
cool art. love supergirl. will watch.
LordHuck - 2/21/2013, 8:49 AM
I have watched my last DC animated feature until they start using the New 52. Pass on this.
LordHuck - 2/21/2013, 8:50 AM
Am I the only one who sees crazy Margo Kidder in that lois?
JMESS - 2/21/2013, 8:51 AM
DC animated movies are the best ... with the small error of superman vs the elite, the rest have been awesome, cant wait!
PC04 - 2/21/2013, 8:53 AM
Flashpoint should be a great movie.
thatcoldblackcloud - 2/21/2013, 8:54 AM
Superman, Batman, Batman, Superman, Batman, Superman, Superman Batman, Superman, Batman, Batman, Superman, Batman, Superman, Superman Batman, Superman, Batman, Batman, Superman, Batman, Superman, Superman Batman, Superman, Batman, Batman, Superman, Batman, Superman, Superman Batman, Superman, Batman, Batman, Superman, Batman, Superman, Superman Batman...

Bring on Flashpoint! ... or something (anything) different for that matter!!!
Boogie138 - 2/21/2013, 9:09 AM
@LordHuck: you right. but that along with a nic cage looking superman just makes this movie look all the more enticing!
rsahadi - 2/21/2013, 9:19 AM
Very similar style to the new Looney Tunes cartoon series. Could easily see Bugs or Daffy photo bomb in the background of these picts. Not digging it.
BlueMex - 2/21/2013, 9:46 AM
art for this is bad.
@JMESS - All Star Superman is an error animated movie not vs the elite.
FlixMentallo21 - 2/21/2013, 10:24 AM
Well, they revealed the rest of the cast! I wonder how Wade Williams will say "Great Caesar's Ghost!" compared to past actors. They brought back Frances Conroy as Martha Kent, and I wonder how Bader will distinguish his Steve Lombard from the only other portrayal of the character (Kevin Michael Richardson's in All-Star Superman) and his Guy Gardner...
JoeMomma29 - 2/21/2013, 10:27 AM
Gusto you can never have enough SuperGirl!!!

JoeMomma29 - 2/21/2013, 10:53 AM
LMAO Gusto!
RPD - 2/21/2013, 11:41 AM
Yeah, it would be nice to see some DC characters BESIDES Batman and Superman...
Peteyparker - 2/21/2013, 1:34 PM
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox?! I swear if Flash is not the Star of his own damn movie i am going to stop watching this Batman/Superman Parade DC calls their animated films. I mean the only reason they're probably doing this is they can start using the new 52 designs in their movies after it.
alamborn19 - 2/21/2013, 2:50 PM
You do realize that there was a few JL movies a few GL movies and a Wonder Woman movie in various years so live long and suck it
JoseTheKingOfTheNorth - 2/21/2013, 4:15 PM
@peteyparker... Stop lying to yourself... If they do a blackest night or Sinestro Wars flick... You will watch it.
Phlegmbot - 2/21/2013, 10:22 PM
Lots of Brainiac stuff mentioned in there. That must mean there's some form of him in the live-action film -- at the very least, seeds planted for the potential sequel.

I should add that Stana Katic was my pick to play Lois in the movie. She'd have been a MUCH better choice.

Phlegmbot - 2/21/2013, 10:24 PM
P.S. why does the sentence below the headline end with two periods? There is NO such correct punctuation that allows for a sentence to end in two periods. A period one dot. An ellipses is three.

Two is nonsense.

P.P.S. @LordHuck: Re: Kidder: Yes.
Re: New 52: Please. Seriously?

kemuael - 2/22/2013, 12:58 AM
dc is so lame...
RexDartEskimoSpy - 2/22/2013, 11:59 AM
Stephen Root as Zor-El? I know he's a talented voice actor but...

FlixMentallo21 - 2/22/2013, 10:29 PM
Buddy, he's shown his vocal range when it comes to comic characters. He's a veteran of a few DC cartoons:
-Reverend Howell/Unity in Superman: The Animated Series
-Catman (the Wildcat pastiche) on Justice League
-Val-Yor on Teen Titans
-Woozy Winks, The Penguin, Planet Master, and Killer Croc on Batman: The Brave and the Bold
-Jack Haly on Young Justice
-Brendon, one of the officers in Batman: Year One
