Based on William Joyce's the Guardians of Childhood book series, Rise of the Guardians is a gorgeously animated film about Boogeyman Pitch Black's attempts to spread darkness and fear throughout the world and the guardians' attempts to foil him. Charged with the duty of watching over the children of the world, guardians Sandman, North, Tooth, and E. Aster Bunnymund are loved by children everywhere. Will newest guardian Jack Frost be of much help against Pitch?

@Gusto, well, first there was this thing invented called a "television"...

Then a bunch of other shit happened....

Now we have 3D Blu-ray Disc (3DBD).

I also got the Life of Pi 3DBD. Someone recently told me it was disgusting because a bunch of animals are violently killed onscreen.

So I hesitated, but it won a lot of awards and I like the general, simple concept.

I heard a lot of animals drowned from a sinking ship and that's how the boy and tiger got in that lifeboat. I guess I always assumed it would be a Black Stallion type of deal, but I heard it was abundantly sad and certainly not good for my 2-year-old to see.

Also it seems more and more that you get an Ultraviolet copy with the 3DBD. Both Life of Pi and Guardians have this. UV is really cool because you get a lifetime HDX (1080p) copy of the movie you can watch on VUDU from anywhere, even if you end up selling or giving it away.
