RUMOR: The Real Reason Why YOUNG JUSTICE Was Pushed Back?

Fans of Young Justice were disappointed that the new episode wasn't shown but the show and DC Nation was pushed back to January for Cartoon Network to celebrate their 20 birthday but is that the real reason? Click to find out why Young Justice may have been pushed back. I warn you to take this story with a pinch of salt.

It was announced that Young Justice was pushed back to celebrate Cartoon Network's 20th birthday. Fans were disappointed that they have to wait till January to see new episodes of Young Justice. A trusted source told me that that may not be the real reason that Young Justice was pushed back. I warn you to take this story with a pinch of salt. It turns out the real reason is because the episode that was suppose to come out called "Before the Dawn" was going to introduce Stephanie Brown. My source tells me the following:

I heard that the whole REASON for all this is because of Stephanie Brown showing up in "Before the Dawn" and apparently, because Dan DiDio hates Steph, he decided to get butthurt and make said hiatus.

This may sound weird but I also found out that apparently iTunes uploaded this episode for purchase. CN is expected to air this episode next year. The episode is still up for purchase. An image from the episode shows that at least part of the story is true.

Yes that is Stephanie Brown in her first episode in the Young Justice universe. Even though the rumor may sound like it's false, part of it is at least true that Stephanie Brown was going to be introduced in the episode.

What do you think? Do you think that this rumor that Dan DiDo doesn't like Stephanie Brown is the whole reason the show was pushed back or do you find this complete bull and stupid. Comment below. Peace.

the show was pushed back so they have new episodes for the new year

Kind of hard to take a legitimate reason as to why a show got pushed back on the grounds of Dan Didio (Who is just a co publisher of DC Comics), was "Butthurt" over the introduction of a character who was on screen for literally five seconds. Dan Didio has nothing to do with the show.

here it is.

I don't think the world of Didio, by any means, but I doubt this. It wouldn't explain why Green Lantern had to go with it.

I'm just glad CN didnt pull this with Clone Wars too...THAT, would have really pissed me off.

Sounds like BS. I just don't understand pulling it after 2 new episodes. I thought they would run about 8 more, then break till the new year.
Also, they pulled GLAS, and I was really getting into watching that too.

No waaaaaaayyy. Fvck the salt. This is too juicy,
The Stephanie Brown controversy continues!
And she's seemingly been completely erased from continuity, in the wake of Flashpoint. And even if she turns up again, at some point, there have only been 3 Robins (not including Tim's Red Robin), so she was definately never Robin, anymore.

DC Sucks! Seriously waiting until January for a new episode is just as stupid as this rumor. Whatever the reason is, it all points to DC not having their act together. If they didn't have rights to Batman their company would sink.

DC = Lames

Wait, is that Wasp up there? What the [frick] is Wasp doing in Young Justice?
marvel72 - 10/15/2012, 2:40 PM

Bane2099 - 10/15/2012, 4:30 PM

I love how these Marvel supporters hate on young Justice.

I guess when a rival comicbook company(DC) has a movie based off a character, that wins two academy awards, cartoon about superhero sidekicks that wins an Emmy, and a television show about a superhero that lasted 10 seasons... I would be pissed too.
sianirudh94 - 10/15/2012, 11:16 PM
Thats ridiculous. Best show CNs got and they remove it until JANUARY 2013????? [frick]ing kidding me?! Wow, idiots!
tazmaniak - 10/16/2012, 8:02 AM
This rumor sounds completely ridiculous.

But, there is a rumor that there's a legal problem with the rights to the Milestone characters.

If you remember, DC didn't create, nor do they own the Milestone characters. The company was created by Dwayne McDuffie, Denys Cowan, ect with the characters being licensed to DC. Milestone Media kept the copyright to the characters, as well as creative control over the characters and merchandising.

I don't know how long these agreements last or how often they must renegotiate, but the original deal was brokered in 1993 and we're rolling up on 2013. 20 years is a nice round number. That could be the problem.

After Static Shock was recently cancelled by DC, there really isn't much of a Milestone Media presence at DC Comics. It's completely possible the company terminated their agreements with DC Entertainment and pulled their characters. If this is true, this is bad news for Young Justice, as Icon and Rocket have roles in the show and Static is about to have a prominent supporting role in upcoming episodes.

If that is the case and they don't work things out, those characters will have to be removed from the show. That's disastrous because if those characters are central to an episode's story, that episode has to be scrapped. You can't just edit out a major character without completely re-writing and reanimating an episode. And that takes months.

If there are problems with Milestone, they can't air those episodes until things are worked out.

I guess we'll see.

Do you guys understand that Didio has nothing to do with this show?
adam430k - 11/10/2012, 9:26 AM
Even if Didio had anything to do with this, He's addressed the rumor that he "Hates" Stephanie Brown and said he does NOT hate her, in fact he likes her a lot, and was a big supporter of her appearances in the Pre-New 52 DCU
SAT - 12/6/2012, 11:43 AM
I bought the episode on Itunes, I figured that was her. She really didn't do anything, so idk why he'd push the show back cuz of that... On another note, not a huge fan of Stephanie, well I'm not a fan of Tim Drake either so maybe thats why, but REALLY?! If this is true (which I doubt) that is the dumbest excuse for pushing a show back... But its probably not true. Argh just bring back YJ, that was the only reason I ever watched CN.
SAT - 12/6/2012, 11:44 AM
I think its cuz CN & DC both dont know how to handle good shows that have plots and not random weird stuff being thrown at the screen (though Marvel isnt much better, aka EMH)
SAT - 12/6/2012, 11:49 AM
@DukeAcureds Thats Bumblbee with a different costume.
@Action Actually, I lean slightly more towards Marvel than DC, but I love YJ! YJ is even at a tie with The Office for favorite show, which hasnt happened since Chuck went off the air(RIP Chuck)
