It's like a hilarious version of THE THING

I tried not to laugh, I really did.

Holy bad cgi, Batman! John Carpenter's The Thing will always be the ultimate terror to me. I want them to top it, but so far, nothing's come close. The 2011 prequel was a joke. No real suspense and the effects looked half-assed. Also, the organism seemed to reason too much like a human. The immitation human seemed too much in touch with the monster underneath. True, The Thing is the immitation, but in order to fully accurately immitate an organism, I think the monster would need to keep the simulated being's thoughts seperate from the organism's.

It's scarier that way too. Knowing the organism doesn't think like us means it could jump out at us at any moment.

@jediphilosopher I don't remember the effects looking bad and i thought that movie was pretty good :-(. I have to go back and watch the carpenter one again i guess... You seem the fly lately? Totally holds up great practical effects.
