Was the 1st ever released in theaters over here in the States? (I watched it online)...

I hope these 2 are as great as the 1st one was.

I didn't see the first one but I've heard good things. I need to get on that.

First was good and looking forward to these. I just hope Kenshin's master Hiko Seijuro is in it. The two would be great on screen!

The first movie was surprisingly great! Can't wait for the sequel.

These series probably didn't get to finish its run because the anime most likely caught up with the manga (which isn't uncommon i.e. DragonBall Z, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc.) and the producers had to come up with filler material to allow the manga company to move on.

That's most likely how we season 3/the Amakusa Shōgo-arc, which wasn't very good or at least not nearly as good as the Kyoto/Shishi-O arc and probably ended the show's run.

It has been revealed that Hiko will be in the sequels being played by 44 year old actor musician/actor Masaharu Fukuyama (he's 5'11" vs. Takeru Satoh/Kenshin's 5'7")

Pox... THANK YOU! It is a shame in the anime that after the Shishio story that the series kind of went down. It was good up til the end but after that story arc the rest did not compare. Pox... THANK YOU!

aint no thang...

I mean Hiko was a giant of a man but I don't mind them keeping a bit real.

God I hope the fight with him and Fuji is in there.

I agree. I loved that he got involved while Kenshin was fighting Shishio. Great fight.
