Scarlett Johansson Weighs In On Her Pregnancy Affecting THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

While Kevin Feige updates on a Black Widow film, Scarlett Johansson confirms whether or not her Avengers: Age of Ultron scenes will be "fast-tracked," due to her pregnancy. Check it out after the jump

Following the surprise announcement that Scarlett Johansson was a mother-to-be, it was rumored that filming for her fourth turn as Black Widow in The Avengers: Age of Ultron would either be fast-tracked, or production would be delayed. "Everything for Avengers 2 -- we're full steam ahead," she confirmed to The Huffington Post today during the Captain America: The Winter Soldier press junket. "We start shooting in three weeks and I'm stunt training and we're good to go. You know, I think it's something that is [laughing] hard to talk about, exactly. You know, trying to skirt around your question exactly [laughs] -- and, you know, doing a poor job of it. But, you know, like I said, everything is exactly on schedule." Everything is going as planned? "[Laughs] Everything is going just fine. The Black Widow always wins and will continue to."

In other promising news for Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, SuperHeroHype sat down with Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige also during The Winter Soldier junket, and asked him about the Russian spy possibly getting her own movie. "I think the idea would be great," Feige said. "We've got various outlines and ideas of where to take that. As Scarlett already said, there's a big element that explores her back story in an upcoming Marvel feature. The question really is, 'When will we take her out of the ensemble and have her do her own thing?' As you saw in [Captain America: The Winter Soldier], as you'll see in Avengers: Age of Ultron, she's really the key to so much of the plot development." What do you think?

The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.

MrCBM56 - 3/12/2014, 12:50 PM
Why does she need her own film? No to that. Much more important characters that need one.
TheVirgin - 3/12/2014, 12:54 PM
So she is playing a major key role in AOU, same with Hawkeye, does it mean Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Thor, Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver and the rest of the characters have lesser screen time than them?

I am curious how this thing will work out.
Tony93 - 3/12/2014, 12:59 PM
who wants a black widow film?!
thewonderer - 3/12/2014, 1:00 PM
Rumor has it Marvel is making her abort.
JillyMcBeam - 3/12/2014, 1:01 PM

That reminds me of that one Family Guy clip!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/12/2014, 1:03 PM
LMAO @ wonderer
Interestein - 3/12/2014, 1:04 PM
I love Scarlett, but with Marvel only doing 2 films a year, a BW film is very unnecessary. She's already had lead roles in 4 movies (Including AOU, TWS), she's fine as is as a character.
HulkOnion - 3/12/2014, 1:04 PM
i wish i was the father
TimL - 3/12/2014, 1:08 PM
The day Black Widow gets her own movie is the day I stop watching Marvel movies. I will only allow that to happen when they've introduced every single important Marvel character like Black Panther and Dr. Strange to the MCU. I don't really see how they'd want to waste a possible movie spot on a BW movie, no offense.
fettastic - 3/12/2014, 1:09 PM
Don't worry guys, everything is going along as planned.

bobevanz - 3/12/2014, 1:09 PM
Abort yourself wonderer :)
Highflyer - 3/12/2014, 1:10 PM
Erm... I don't want a Black widow film either.
MsDarkPhoenix - 3/12/2014, 1:10 PM
Tdi7457 - 3/12/2014, 1:12 PM
She still hasn't directly said she's pregnant.
CharlesLord - 3/12/2014, 1:12 PM
Ill accept a widow movie if Barton and Bucky are in it. Other than that, with Marvel's schedule of doin 2 films a year (they might push it to three) I just really dont think a Widow movie is something we need unless theyre setting it up in TWS and AoU
UltimateHunt - 3/12/2014, 1:16 PM
i hope its not delay at the last minute, if it is i apologize guys i forgot to use protection :/
thunderforce - 3/12/2014, 1:16 PM
Why does she have to be such a big part of the Avengers , I would rather have Ms Marvel or She Hulk .
UltimateHunt - 3/12/2014, 1:18 PM
Ms.Marvel solo film is the movie we want and we deserved.
patrat18 - 3/12/2014, 1:19 PM
How about less Widow and more [frick]ing Hawkeye.
UltimateHunt - 3/12/2014, 1:19 PM
Gal needs to be pregnant, that way she can get a little thicker,

Tdi7457 - 3/12/2014, 1:20 PM
No pregnant woman would be doing stunt training. No matter how far along they are.
sKeemAn - 3/12/2014, 1:20 PM
Im not sure I want a BW solo flick. I'd rather see BP.

Someone should do an article on the interview with Feige.
Kurne - 3/12/2014, 1:21 PM

Jollem, Wonderer or Gusto.
UltimateHunt - 3/12/2014, 1:29 PM

MercwithMouth - 3/12/2014, 1:29 PM

Kurne - 3/12/2014, 1:30 PM

MercwithMouth - 3/12/2014, 1:31 PM
I volunteer to inpregnate Gadot!
BlackNickFury - 3/12/2014, 1:57 PM

thats classic Gusto there lol
FearTheLiving - 3/12/2014, 2:21 PM
What's alll this BW news when Hawkeye still needs to be fleshed out. BW had good chunck of time in Iron Man 2, Avengers, Cap 2, and soon Avengers 2. Hawkeye had a bit part in Thor and was himself for 5% of the Avengers. I mean seriously let him team-up with someone and get some screen time.
TheAbomination - 3/12/2014, 2:29 PM
Hopefully we get more info on Hawkeye's backstory.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 3/12/2014, 2:30 PM
Good to know everything is on schedule. I wouldn't mind a Black Widow low budget film at all. From the things um hearing about cap 2 I say have the russo brothers do a solo for her as well. Man Marvel is all over the place. ;)
muttonman - 3/12/2014, 2:31 PM
I wouldn't pay to watch a Black Widow solo film... She's not that interesting... That might be the first Marvel movie that I wait until the DVD for...
