In an article concerning Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige's recent comments about female-led comic book movies, Devin Faraci also dropped a tantalizing tidbit about a potential female cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron:
"I have information about multiple drafts of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and all feature a cameo by a character the script calls Ms. Marvel (nothing else, including a civilian name or basic look, is specified). It's a cameo, so it could change at any time, but the character is planned for the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
While including the usual caveat of how scripts are subject to change, it would seem that Devin is pretty certain that the Ms. Marvel character is being prepped for a solo outing sometime in Phase 3 or beyond. Is the Avengers sequel going to be our first glimpse of these plans? We'll have to wait until summer of next year to find out for sure!
Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Cobie Smulders Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.
