THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Begins Filming Snowy Action Sequences In Italy

There isn't much to jump up and down for, but photos and details are here from the first day of filming for The Avengers: Age of Ultron in Italy, which involved a snowy landscape, the military and more.

As the month nears its end, so begins the remainder of filming for The Avengers: Age of Ultron which kicked off early this morning in Italy. Photos and details from the shoot, via AostaSera.it, reveal a battle sequence taking place amid an artificial blizzard at Fort Bard, where miltiary extras were seen firing at an unseen target. No word on who or what that target may be, but actors Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver) are all in town and will eventually take part in the shoot. In addition to the snow-covered rectagular fortress, there are two other sets being constructed which photos from Facebook Cinefilos showcase an apparent cargo transport and Italy's Aosta Valley dressed with Eastern European storefront signs.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.
