What's the need to train? A stunt-double and CGI is going to do most of the work anyway.
Kurne - 3/8/2014, 1:23 PM
He actually needs this. He's gotten pretty fat since Iron Man 3 wrapped :/
Rhinoman - 3/8/2014, 1:25 PM
RDJ forever. Looks like Evans is done after Avengers 3, Hemsworth will continue as Thor, do not let RDJ stop.

Make Yensin The Mandarin ala Keyser Soze and Ezekiel Stane for Iron Man 5
MrCBM56 - 3/8/2014, 1:26 PM
Ok. Cool. I guess.
Kurne - 3/8/2014, 1:32 PM
If they ever make another Iron Man movie to fix the Mandarin then he has to be the secondary villain. Don't want to make it so obvious.
MrReese - 3/8/2014, 1:35 PM
Does he need 2 wear his man heels 2 work out though? :/

MrReese - 3/8/2014, 1:39 PM

Indy - 3/8/2014, 1:39 PM
I just saw him wear crocs now he wearing heels what the?
Starfox - 3/8/2014, 1:43 PM
Wait I'm confused.. I don't get why he would start training while filming is going on..
Pheezmatic - 3/8/2014, 1:44 PM

idk why but this bullshit ass clip just got me hyped!
BatmanHeisenberg - 3/8/2014, 2:05 PM
He looks fine to me, what is the need to train? Batman is someone who SHOULD look strong. Tony can look average, his suit does all the work. Hmmmmm....
arsonjack - 3/8/2014, 2:17 PM
He doesn't pull the "heels" off, ruins his image.
Ramiel - 3/8/2014, 2:21 PM
TimL - 3/8/2014, 2:23 PM
I don't see how they could replace ANYONE. I never was a fan of the whole James Bond thing with 50 actors portraying the same role.
DaVinci31 - 3/8/2014, 2:41 PM

Dear god, what have you done. . .

Shroombeast - 3/8/2014, 2:45 PM
Personally, I'm hoping his role in this movie is just a key supporting role as Tony Stark, and that War Machine/Iron Patriot takes Iron Man's spot on The Avengers. In my opinion, we've had plenty of Iron Man/Tony Stark and not enough of War Machine in action. And it fits with the end of Iron Man 3 that Tony would at least be taking a break from superheroing for a while. Anyway, I really look forward to finding out what Rhody, Falcon and Winter Soldier are doing during the events of this film...
sameoldthing - 3/8/2014, 2:47 PM
He wears armor but there are scenes as Tony where he needs to look fit.
I guarantee that being IM is physically taxing at times.

Tony is a genius & smart people know it's wise to be in condition.
Now I gotta go eat 14 doughnuts...later!
DaVinci31 - 3/8/2014, 2:48 PM

It's better if you think about the character of "James Bond" as just being a codename and not an actual person.
MrReese - 3/8/2014, 2:52 PM
@DaVinci31 lol
DaVinci31 - 3/8/2014, 2:56 PM

Probably because they don't shoot any of his character's physical scenes until they travel to some other location later in the year.
SuperCat - 3/8/2014, 3:05 PM
Lol! You people are cruel. Maybe he's gonna have a scene with his shirt off or some sh*t. Stark nipples.

"He doesn't pull the 'heels' off, ruins his image."

"Ruin his image" with whom? Insecure homophobes, maybe? If his troubled past with drug addiction, alcoholism, and, prison didn't hurt a person's opinion of him, I doubt they're all a sudden going to think less of him for wearing platform shoes for work.

Get a grip and don't let go.

Nomis - 3/8/2014, 3:19 PM
It's GO time!

"Lol! You people are cruel. Maybe he's gonna have a scene with his shirt off or some sh*t. Stark nipples."

Lmao! Maybe Disney will go all out and have him Stark naked. Perhaps a lil' Tony on Pepper action? Nah, they'd have to be Stark raving mad...
TheRationalNerd - 3/8/2014, 3:46 PM
Lol, Can't even take this news serious. The most action Downey's ever done outside of the suit was hammering the iron mask in Iron Man 1.
TheRationalNerd - 3/8/2014, 3:49 PM

McNyagano - 3/8/2014, 4:09 PM
Glad he's working out. let's hope he doesn't injure his leg like he did in IM3 on set.
ALmazing - 3/8/2014, 4:12 PM
RDJ is lean mean fighting machine.

Besides, to play IM, he doesn't need to pull an Evans, a Hemsworth, or a Cavill, IM is not that type of Superhero.
SauronsBANE - 3/8/2014, 4:16 PM
...You people do realize he wore heels on set because he's short...right? Like, the filmmakers didn't like the visual of Pepper towering over Tony, so they gave RBD heels to wear to give him an extra few inches.

Also, he did tons of practical work in Iron Man 3. Anyone remember him getting hurt during production, as McNyagano just mentioned? He's not training to be Henry Cavill-levels of buff, he's training so he can be healthy enough to do his own stunts. He's almost 50 years old, for crying out loud. Some of you guys need a few lessons in common sense.
McNyagano - 3/8/2014, 4:32 PM
RDJ doesn't do action outside the suit? Apparently some people forget this:

Or t the final battle (where he actually injured his leg). I guess some people like trolling. Trolls gonna Troll.
SauronsBANE - 3/8/2014, 4:33 PM
Exactly, Omega. Also, no idea why I shortened Robert Downey Jr's name to RBD rather than RDJ.
Omarvls - 3/8/2014, 5:36 PM

Said that a picture of Gal Gadot Flexing her skinny arm got more comments then the release of the GotG trailer

Does he think this would get more comments then the second trailer for GotG?
Moohika - 3/8/2014, 5:41 PM
He's actually looking pretty spry for a 48 year old.

That gym kicks a$$!!....some really cool equipment there...
Desrow - 3/8/2014, 6:54 PM
He looks great for being almost 50.
TheRationalNerd - 3/8/2014, 7:23 PM
People are just being comical. Just like others do on other threads. What? Because the guy plays iron man doesn't mean we crack jokes on him? Have a sense of humor. lol Downey's gonna make his cash regardless and we're all gonna see every marvel related film he stars in. Much respect to him for bring that old and dedicated to the role even if he just does cgi/stunt double replacement work.
Inhuman - 3/8/2014, 7:35 PM
As much as people bitched about Iron Man 3 (I for one thought IM3 was a great comic book movie in its own right), the second we see an Age Of Ultron clip starring Tony Stark, peoples stomachs will flutter because RDJ has been so quite and we all love Tony Stark
DrunkenNukem - 3/8/2014, 7:38 PM
I always saw him in good shape tho...
Ranger14 - 3/8/2014, 8:11 PM
Cavill was wearing heels on the set as well. It's not like it is an uncommon thing when they want to add some height to someone.
