Brief Footage Description From Marvel's The Avengers!

With film wrapping up shooting, we are getting closer to finally see some official footage from Joss Whedon-directed comic book adaptation The Avengers. Now, here is a description of some scenes from the film. More after the jump...

Even I can't wait any longer to see some footage from Marvel's The Avengers (and I'm a really patient person, haha). But thanks to a source close to the production of the Joss Whedon-directed film, who've provided reliable scoops in the past, we have new info revealing a couple things. Though it is nothing big, some of the things are pretty cool. Below is a brief description of a finalized concept for the Hellicarrier, and more. As always, SPOILER WARNING!

One of the things the source told me is that in concepts, the Hellicarrier looks like a huge F-14 with stubbier main wings and large hovercraft blades in all 4 wings. Plus, here is an interesting thing: it has a cloaking device. Next, it was previously reported that they will be filming some scenes at the NASA facility. Well, in the film, it looks like that is a S.H.I.E.L.D. lab where they are studying the Cosmic Cube.

With the trailer being released soon, word is that we'll see the aliens' ship blowing stuff up from the Cleveland filming. Of course with visual effects and everything else. There is a scene where they shoot missiles down onto the street blowing all the cars up. And finally, the source mentioned that Loki is brutal in this movie. Pure evil and more hands on and physical.

And that's about it. Like I said, not much, but at least something until we get the trailer.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Cobie Smulders, The Avengers is set to hit theatres on May 4, 2012!

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel’s The Avengers" is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.

bring on the trailer,i waited long enough.
Simply7Muggs - 9/25/2011, 6:55 PM
Sounds pretty bad ass. This movie should set the bar for future CBM. Still think joss whedon is a little under qualified for this movie. I;m sure there are plenty who disagree just my opinion nothing more nothing less.
ThreeBigTacos - 9/25/2011, 6:57 PM
BRING IT!!! In theaters it should be played: First the Ghost Rider trailer, next TheAmazing Spider-Man trailer, then the Avengers trailer, then whatever movie.

TDKR can be on another movie's trailer pack :P
PapaEmeritus - 9/25/2011, 6:58 PM
...and Intruder is dumb! Give us a break with this pointless and stupid little war... both movies will be great, and you'll go see them both.
ThreeBigTacos - 9/25/2011, 7:02 PM
@Intruder: How dare you have an opinion! How dare you think Avengers will be an amazing movie! this is madness! :P
logunvadercap - 9/25/2011, 7:02 PM
@lord baphomet- excellent handle on the english language, you dc douche.
logunvadercap - 9/25/2011, 7:03 PM
@intruder- beat me to it. i guess us assholes think alike.
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:04 PM
Wheddon is a bit unexperienced..
We'll see, the movie sounds interesting so far..
Mechagino - 9/25/2011, 7:04 PM
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:04 PM
@Intruder: Chill out dude, the movies come out next year..
NightForce - 9/25/2011, 7:04 PM
@HangoverWillie, Exactly! I hate when [frick]ing fanboys like grif and lordbaphomet try to incite these stupid wars. Like, personally, I could care less about TDKR. But I don't go around starting shit all the time.
Well other than that footage sounds great. Can't wait!
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:05 PM
@logunvadercap: Couldn't have said it better myself
ThreeBigTacos - 9/25/2011, 7:06 PM
all I'm going to say is Scarlett Johansson>Anne Hathaway.

I'd still wreck both in bed, but cmon now!
Anne isn't even decently 'masked' as Catwoman, that domino mask does nothing to hide her identity.

At least Scarlett doesn't have to wear a mask haha
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:06 PM
I'm excited for TDKR
I'm excited for Avengers
That's not making the universe implode or tearing a hole in reality..
[frick]ing fanboys need to chill out.
"Nolanites" need to chill the [frick] out, but the Marvel Supremacists need to do the same
Simply7Muggs - 9/25/2011, 7:07 PM
Wow! ppl who partake in the whole DC vs Marvel CMB's r so F'in lame. I dont own a page of anything Avengers related(probaly will soon enough) But i hope it kicks ass. ITS NOT A D!CK MEASURING CONTEST!
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:07 PM
Scarlett has the sexier body
ThreeBigTacos - 9/25/2011, 7:10 PM
@Superman17: But, Emma Stone ranks up there with Scarlett IMO as well. :P
logunvadercap - 9/25/2011, 7:12 PM
@simply7muggs- are you just afraid that you would lose the contest? marvel has a third leg bro!
Ne0Baggins - 9/25/2011, 7:12 PM
"Loki is brutal in this movie. Pure evil and more hands on and physical."

That's sounds awesome. Hopefully it's true. Whedon is the stain on this. I hope he doesn't [frick] up.
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:13 PM
@Intruder: He's the writer of Roseanne -_- and has only directed like 1-2 films, not sure bc I dont even pay attention to him.
He's lucky all the characters have been established and will kick ass anyway.
James Cameron would have been a much better choice, even though I hate his self-obsessed guts
sexymuppet - 9/25/2011, 7:13 PM
@ Intruder
I think i'll justt download it for free and witness the horror in the comfort of my own home, thank you very much. Now go put on some eyeliner and jam that new 30 Seconds to Mars album. "

Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:15 PM
IGN Film's Best Sci-Fi, Best Story and Best Trailer awards and runner up to Batman Begins for the Overall Best Movie
81% RT(Good), bombed at the B.O.
ThreeBigTacos - 9/25/2011, 7:16 PM
@Superman17: "James Cameron would have been a much better choice"

I've never thought of that possibility... very intersting indeed. Knowing him he'll re-release it in theaters with '8 minutes of extra footage' but with the Avengers, that wouldn't be a bad thing. lol
Maximillion - 9/25/2011, 7:17 PM
Bring on the trailer :)
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:18 PM
@ThreeBigTacos: He's amazing with the special effects, and T2 is one of my all time faves. Who knows..
I honestly don't like Wheddon, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and avoid hating on him unlike some ppl on this site
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:20 PM
With the Marvel Supremacists troling in these articles I think it's pretty even Intruder
Simply7Muggs - 9/25/2011, 7:20 PM
@Intruder what has joss won and oscar for?
TheMadman - 9/25/2011, 7:20 PM
When are we getting this trailer? I hope it's in the next month or so...
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:22 PM
@Simply7Muggs: That question is a little unfair, Joss doesn't have much directorial experience. If he does a good job, I'm sure he'll get nominated some day
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:22 PM
@Intruder: Easy. I don't pay attention to him BECAUSE I don't like him that much.
marvel72 - 9/25/2011, 7:23 PM
@ LordBaphomet

iron man (12)
the incredible hulk (12)
iron man 2 (12)
thor (12)
captain america the first avenger (12)
the avengers (12,more than likely)

batman begins (12)
the dark knight (12)
the dark knight rises (12,more than likely)

so whats your point about kiddie movies, the original star wars trilogy are (u) but still loved by adults.
soberchimera - 9/25/2011, 7:24 PM
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:25 PM
@Marvel72: TDK shouldn't be considered a "kiddie" movie. People complained when the MPAA gave it a PG-13.
The only reason it did is because they showed like almost no blood
Supes17 - 9/25/2011, 7:26 PM
@Intruder: They could have hired someone better and more experience to Direct an epic film of massive proportions like this one
