Closer Look At The "Enemy Invaders" From THE AVENGERS

A zoomed in image (with a bit of sneaky work done) from yesterday's Super Bowl tease gives us our first inkling of what these invading creatures from The Avengers will look like..

Click on the image for a larger look

As you can see they seem to be travelling three to a ship, have a brownish green hue and be wearing some type of armor. Their features still can't be made out in any great detail but they certainly don't resemble Skrulls, Kree or any other Alien or inter-dimensional beings I can think of from The Marvel Universe except perhaps The Badoon (thanks ScarletSpeedster0:), a reptilian alien race older than both the Kree and Skrull who have been known to be "conquerors of worlds". They have no comic affiliation to Loki that I know of but we all know that wouldn't be too much of a stretch for Marvel. What do you guys make of this?

#1 and #3 look like there are more than one on this "glider". Any ideas? I'm not too familiar with intergalactic enemies in the MU.
ScarletSpeedster0 - 2/1/2012, 7:18 AM
Just looked up different aliens in marvel and they could be a group of aliens called badoon given the sort of colour scheme that the pics above show
CraptainAmerica - 2/1/2012, 7:37 AM
Hmmm. Never heard of the Badoon personally but the visual looks very close.

I'm not sure the masses would be particularly happy at an obscure enemy but Feige did say try weren't integral to the plot.

Great find!
Curmudgeon - 2/1/2012, 7:52 AM
Looks like somebody got a good shot of what might be the alien sitting in front of Loki...!/MarvelWatch/status/164737299526074368/photo/1

Hawksblueyes - 2/1/2012, 7:58 AM
The Badoon would have to be changed almost completely to fit any of the tidbits we've heard about the film.
KaneVonDoom - 2/1/2012, 8:01 AM
Just judging from @Curmudgeon's picture, it does look rather Skrull-esque... or perhaps Kree.

...but that may just be wishful thinking. I'm sure we'll find out soon but this has honestly got to be one of the most well guarded secrets in CBM history. Well done Joss.

the image's link in the article takes me to a google apps error. :-\

nice pic Curmudgeon,
jimoakley666 - 2/1/2012, 8:05 AM
They look a bit like the Breakworld lot from Astonishing X-Men.
ThunderCougarFalconBird - 2/1/2012, 8:06 AM
It's always worth a closer look, you never know what you'll find...

The Badoon haven't really been used in the comics in a VERRRRRRRY long time. They were briefly mentioned a few times in both Annihilation and Annihilation Conquest though.
HelaGood - 2/1/2012, 8:08 AM
yeah its not the Badoon...

im really thinking Hawks is on the right track. ;)
HelaGood - 2/1/2012, 8:09 AM
but it aint no skrull or kree.
Priest - 2/1/2012, 8:14 AM
I think that most likely, it is an army of alien mercenaries from different worlds. Like the one Thanos used to have.
MovieMaster - 2/1/2012, 8:16 AM
@AvatarIII- Same -.-
thalidomide - 2/1/2012, 8:20 AM
@Ror I clicked on the image and it says there's an error :(
CraptainAmerica - 2/1/2012, 8:20 AM
I'm liking the @hawk and @tea convos on here. Dudes seem knowledgable on The Avengers!

I thought I knew a lot but I hadn't even heard of the Badoon!

Who do @hawk and @tea think will be the aliens/invaders?
thanos83 - 2/1/2012, 8:20 AM
Anyone have any pics of thanos's deviants?
thanos83 - 2/1/2012, 8:23 AM
KaneVonDoom - 2/1/2012, 8:23 AM
...and by Skrull I mean Chitauri or whatever other name they can give Green creatures with Spock ears and wrinkly jaws. But that just what I can make out from looking at a blurry picture. Other than the Kree maybe Kang is a possiblity but I really doubt Whedon would go there. I really just don't know.

But I have a gut feeling that they are somehow related to Thanos and Ronan

I'm interested to see what you think, Hela.

CraptainAmerica: Look a couple of articles down from this one on Main.
Ranger14 - 2/1/2012, 8:36 AM
I think Badoons makes much less sense than Hawk's theory.

GDSG@ I love Asian women, but she's like..eeewwww....stretch marks on her ass and her backside is bigger than the rest of her. :-P

CraptainAmerica - 2/1/2012, 8:37 AM
Did have a read up and the Badoon do have links with the Guardians Of The Galaxy and Thanos (Czar-Doon at least)
Superheromoviefan - 2/1/2012, 8:39 AM
@ror i also have problem
RorMachine - 2/1/2012, 8:43 AM
Never said I thought it was the Badoon, I just said they looked like them. I also think Hawks' theory is sound. I would think Marvel have smoly amalgamated a few different races to form their own but for what we have heard: "comic fans will be happy". They could be full of it of course.
THORGodOfThunder - 2/1/2012, 8:46 AM
Can't zoom in on the pics!
thalidomide - 2/1/2012, 8:50 AM
someone just failed at trolling
HelaGood - 2/1/2012, 8:52 AM
@thalidomide LMAO!! good KNIGHT everyone!
CrowPirate1 - 2/1/2012, 9:00 AM
Just as long as the Aliens are not led by a Rulk...

I'm happy to see the movie...
TheGreenRanger - 2/1/2012, 9:00 AM
I hear they are Puddies sent by Rita. Dont worry Avengers, I got this.
Akercocke - 2/1/2012, 9:18 AM
mstaley3000 - 2/1/2012, 9:19 AM
Deviants, perhaps? The Shi'ar Empire has a number of different alien races in it. Maybe Maximus has deposed Blackbolt again and now joined up with Loki?
sexfoodcomics - 2/1/2012, 9:22 AM
I think it's the annihilation wave. Would make sense with Feigi's comments about making MCU 2.0 move into marvels galactic characters and the possibility of a Guardians of the galaxy movie. Annihilation wave for the win.
Lert - 2/1/2012, 9:38 AM
theres no news here to see people... move along!
