oh see, shake my head, they are getting rid of Wonder Man

I guess because he is not in the MCU.

shake my head.
DarthSandwich - 8/21/2014, 6:23 PM
That cover is just beautiful.
JordanKing - 8/21/2014, 6:25 PM
@dethpillow Marvel Studios own Wonder Man, try again.
dethpillow - 8/21/2014, 6:26 PM
everything they are talking about with this series is totally Disney's fault and trying to make everything MCU.

look... Scarlet Witch, Thor, Captain America and then now, looks like they are going to make some girl be Wasp also. and if you think that's a coincidence, then i hope you enjoy your Kool-Aid.

when will they learn to keep the comics separate? that's what made them good in the first place. instead of doing things for money. shake my head.
TheGambitFreak - 8/21/2014, 6:26 PM
Havok and Wasp? The [frick]? God Marvel, Hawkeye and Black Widow are your only decent solicitations right now.
HailHeisenberg - 8/21/2014, 6:27 PM
The art is amazing!
dethpillow - 8/21/2014, 6:28 PM
next thing you know they are going to make movies of Doctor Strange and Black Panther.

and then everyone will be "oh my god, what a coincidence!"
well it's not.
this is Disney's plan to make the comics like the MCU and have there be a Doctor Strange.
but then characters like Wonder Man, they will make them go inside of characters like Rogue. that's pretty convenient too.
PAF - 8/21/2014, 6:29 PM

Are you serious? It looks like you're the drinking too much of it.
TheGreenBastard - 8/21/2014, 6:32 PM
They'll just let anyone draw, and color these days.
Bl00dwerK - 8/21/2014, 6:33 PM
I just want Rogue back with the X-Men where she belongs...
HAILHYDRA - 8/21/2014, 6:33 PM
@dethpillow please show me the proof that Disney has or asserts any power over what goes on the comics. You're a conspiracy theorist and a scapegoatist . Disney has so much more going on. Why in the world would it micromanage every Marvel comic?
HAILHYDRA - 8/21/2014, 6:33 PM
And what do people have against Disney anyway?
Spooks - 8/21/2014, 6:34 PM
Chewtoy - 8/21/2014, 6:34 PM
I used to be able to follow the Marvel universe even though I no longer read the books, but these days the teams and relationships all seem like they came out of a blender.
dethpillow - 8/21/2014, 6:34 PM
@PAF - no, I just had the chance for once to get in before the usual idiot recitation.

so I just thought i'd make it embarrassing for them to have to follow up with it.

dethpillow - 8/21/2014, 6:35 PM
what they say is literally as stupid as that,
so why not?

save them the time.
JoshWilding - 8/21/2014, 6:36 PM
@dethpillow needs to learn how to read.

CaptShipwreck - 8/21/2014, 6:37 PM
Da shit is this ?
CaptainObvious - 8/21/2014, 6:37 PM
"Havok is horribly scarred and married to The Wasp"

Holy crap! A married couple in the Marvel universe? I thought Marvel believed that marriage was for boring, old people who are incapable of being entertaining.
ALmazing - 8/21/2014, 6:38 PM
Captain America becomes old?

PAF - 8/21/2014, 6:38 PM

You're one of the more sane ones here. I was trippin' out. Lol.
TheRationalNerd - 8/21/2014, 6:41 PM
Has Cap ever took Fury's place in the comics??
dethpillow - 8/21/2014, 6:41 PM
and if anyone doesn't keep up with the stories,
of course they are gonna seem weird at first glance.

just read some issues, usually, all will be explained.

doesn't mean all is great, but if you've been reading this,
it's not anything crazy. Rick Remender is crazy, for sure.
but he makes sense.

he's just good old fashioned crazy.
dethpillow - 8/21/2014, 6:42 PM
@TheRationalNerd - he was director of SHIELD, I think, for a while.

in that sense, maybe. but not any more than that, i don't think.
SpideyFan - 8/21/2014, 6:44 PM
Dat Cover, I love it!!!
@TheRationalNerd if I remember, Cap did took Fury's place as SHIELD Chief. I don't exactly remember which comic issue, but yeah he did.
HAILHYDRA - 8/21/2014, 6:44 PM
@dethpillow I'm still waiting on that hard evidence that Disney is so heavily influencing that comics
PAF - 8/21/2014, 6:45 PM

That was DC.
MrCBM56 - 8/21/2014, 6:46 PM
Amazing cover
dethpillow - 8/21/2014, 6:48 PM
@HAILHYDRA - i was messing around, i was imitating what i usually see on any Marvel comic book article. I don't think so either.

I mean, not the way that it's stated.

Of course there are things that they try and 'synergize' and stuff.
but it baffles me how people will go off on that and then disregard all the goddam 9,000 ways that they aren't and continue not to be.

like Electro was shown in a hoodie in like 5 pages of Spider-Man earlier this year. people were freaking out. what the hell?

it's my fault for bringing it up actually, but i bet if I'd hadn't someone would've posted something equally as dumb and meant it.

TheRealMandarin - 8/21/2014, 6:49 PM
@TheRationalNerd not that I know of but Fury was pretending to be cap during age of ultron
TheRealMandarin - 8/21/2014, 6:51 PM
Havok and wasp huh who knew?last couple I ever thought happen but I didn't know she divorced hank again
CaptainObvious - 8/21/2014, 7:14 PM
@PAF- Nope, I'm pretty sure that's Marvel. That's why Spider-Man isn't married anymore. Because they're idiots who think marriage can't make for good drama.
PAF - 8/21/2014, 7:18 PM

Oh no. Someone from DC, an Editor or a writer, actually said that when Superman and Lois were not together anymore in the new 52. I'm serious. The Lois and Clark fans were going ape shit. I need to find the quote. As for Spider-Man... everyone knows that was the dumbest shit ever.
Amazing512 - 8/21/2014, 7:20 PM
@dethpillow "fans" like you are the worst. Sometimes a story is just a f***ing a story. Idiots like you always have to look for some conspiracy behind it. You people are soo annoying.
PAF - 8/21/2014, 7:23 PM

Also, the old writer for Batwoman wanted Batwoman to get married. DiDio said nope. There was this big thing about a "marriage ban" at DC. And his comments justifying it were not well received.
TankD - 8/21/2014, 7:29 PM
@dethpellow yea dethpellow what @hailhydra said!!

Its not Disneys fault!

You conspiracy theorist!!

Its the writers being pushed by the big heads in what ever company. They want to make the comics like the movies.

And that is a fact.

Everyone sees it.

Hail hydra is trying to create disinformation.(dont trust that guy)
TheActionAce - 8/21/2014, 7:48 PM
When did the whole Wasp and Havok marriage happem
Lizardking310 - 8/21/2014, 7:58 PM
Cap became director of shield I believe after "Siege" so that wasn't too long ago.. I don't mind changes in my comics but repetitive changes do get old. Cap wasn't cap not too long ago and hulk was smart not too long ago either. I mean he wasn't a scientist during world war hulk but he wasn't an idiot either... Fresh ideas are always good but marvel lately has just been rehashing old ideas!
xcan - 8/21/2014, 8:12 PM
@HAILHYDRA and blind chums, the film side has been tying into the comic side with Marvel since the TRUE innovator of this current CBM run, X-Men was released. Blade didn't have that influence that's for sure...

Go and check X-Men comics around 2000, after the first X-Men was released. Sabretooth, Toad, Mystique and co. went through DRASTIC change in the art after the films success.

Marvel blatantly released a half-assed comic run named 'Age of Ultron' so they could use that as a movie title in the Avengers 2. Comic nerds old enough to know better are aware that there is only one 'Age', that being of the Apocalypse. The Ultron shit is lifted directly from the X-Men series.

Marvel is not above 'dirty pool' or cross selling their properties. That is a fact... jack.
AnakinsTwin - 8/21/2014, 8:14 PM
I really need to catch up to the story but I'm really not digging the art :(
