FAN ART: Nicktoons Characters As THE AVENGERS

Click to see some classic Nickelodeon cartoon characters from the likes of The Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Ren & Stimpy, Spongebob Squarepants and more mashed up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes..

To celebrate the release of Marvel's The Avengers, Moviefone have enlisted the talents of comic-book artist Dennis Culver to create the following character mash-ups. At one time or another I watched pretty much all of the shows these guys are featured in (and am not ashamed to admit I still watch Spongebob on occasion), and I figured a few of you guys may have too. So enjoy..

This takes me back to the days of cable circa 95. Childrens tv really has regressed.
CaptainObvious - 5/6/2012, 8:43 AM
I have to admit too, I'm a huge SpongeBob fanatic. Also, I freaking love Rocko's Modern Life. That one was one of my favorites. Rugrats was pretty great too. Never got to watch Ren and Stimpy, but now I'll try.
grimreaper - 5/6/2012, 8:56 AM

I prefer this one

SotNatt - 5/6/2012, 9:54 AM
I've never seen Rocko look so...badass.

I like the Dexter one too. Love this stuff.
StarSpangledBruce - 5/6/2012, 10:00 AM
XJ9 should have been Iron Man.
skidz - 5/6/2012, 10:04 AM
The quality of cartoons has really plummeted in the last decade.
PaulRom - 5/6/2012, 10:11 AM
Cool stuff. Loved watching those cartoons as a kid.

80's cartoons ruled, but those early 90's ones from Nick were brilliant, Mounya and Yiolanda on UK Nick TV, Doug, Hey Arnold, Rocko, Ren and Stimpy, Argh Real Monsters, Dexter, 2 Stupid Dogs, Weasel great memories, oh and clarrisa lol
bobevanz - 5/6/2012, 12:37 PM
Swap doug and spongebob and you have a deal. Lol stimpy is ths true hulk ^_^
Azrael725 - 5/6/2012, 12:37 PM
Dagget from Angry Angry Beavers should have been Hulk...just saying. That show was the best and my childhood favorite.
TheMyth - 5/6/2012, 2:10 PM
Rocko Hawkeye wins!
PaulRom - 5/6/2012, 2:21 PM
And SpongeBob used to be great. First couple seasons were a lot of fun. But they've been going downhill since the movie, and the series is barely average at this point.
CaptainObvious - 5/6/2012, 2:36 PM
@PaulRom- I agree. I still watch the show, but only if it's an episode between 1999 and 2004. The only show I watch regularly on Nick is Legend of Korra. That show is awesome. But other than that, most of the cartoons I watch are on Cartoon Network.
Wildaniel - 5/6/2012, 2:56 PM
Being born in 1989 this takes me back to my childhood, lol.
mgeoff88 - 5/6/2012, 4:45 PM
Gotta love Doug as Captain America. Well and Quail Man. :P

I've really been getting into The 90's Are All That block on Teen Nick:

-Hey Arnold!
-Kenan & Kel
-Clarrisa Explains It All
-Hey, Dude
-Salute Your Shorts

For some reason, I don't really care for Rugrats anymore. I guess when you're 24, and you go back and watch a show about talking babies; it just isn't as fun to watch as when you were a kid.
TonyChu - 5/6/2012, 7:25 PM
This is back when cartoons were funny and even parents could enjoy them. Oh how I long for the days of;
Hey Arnold
keenan and kel
Rockos Modern Life
Ren and Stimpy
All That
Dexters Labatory
Courage the Cowardly Dog, hell any cartoon in the 90's!!
