Marvel recently teased plans to release all of their "Phase One" movies in an epic box set, and this is most definitely far more impressive than the usual "six slipcases in a cardboard sleeve" deal that fans are used to buying. MTV Splash Page have revealed the first full official image of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One Blu-ray set which is set to be released this September in the US. As you can see, it will be a recreation of Nick Fury's case (which held the Tesseract in Marvel's The Avengers) and will include a few other extras by the looks of it too. Below is the image and the official blurb from Disney.

thalidomide - 7/11/2012, 6:35 AM
Somebody posted the price a few weeks ago and when I converted it to my country's currency it seems that I won't be able to afford it even if I sell my dvd's. :(
ksommer - 7/11/2012, 6:37 AM
I thought the price was like $129.99 or something like that.
ksommer - 7/11/2012, 6:37 AM

BackwardGalaxy - 7/11/2012, 6:39 AM
@BattlinMurdock: What soul? She clearly traded it in for that ass.
Jolt17 - 7/11/2012, 6:39 AM
It's...beautiful. I'll leave it there because I don't own any Blu-Ray player.
Jolt17 - 7/11/2012, 6:40 AM
Wait, though; so that The Avengers minimalist art is an official stuff? I thought it's a fan-made!
Coachella - 7/11/2012, 6:41 AM
Some of you guys still watch DVD's? Bluray is superior sound and picture! I already own the others in bluray so i will just buy Avengers.
Coachella - 7/11/2012, 6:42 AM
Ya this will easily be over a hundred dollars.
The14thAvenger - 7/11/2012, 6:44 AM
When it says limitd edition does it mean selling for a certain period of time or that there's only a certain number that were made to sell? I really want this but I just don't have the money ATM so I hope I don't miss out :/
heisei24 - 7/11/2012, 6:47 AM
ksommer - 7/11/2012, 6:49 AM
@heisei24 that's awesome!
BlackFlash - 7/11/2012, 6:50 AM

ATrueHero1987 - 7/11/2012, 6:51 AM
According to Amazon, it'll cost $153.
Dubspoon - 7/11/2012, 6:52 AM
Six BR movies and a special case, bet it will retail for close to 2 notes
DukeAcureds - 7/11/2012, 7:01 AM
Those sillhoutte images are very much akin to the cover of The Ultimates.
thalidomide - 7/11/2012, 7:05 AM
To quote Intruder

The Avengers... The gift that keeps on giving.
Hawksblueyes - 7/11/2012, 7:08 AM
As cool as this looks....NOT GONNA BUY IT! I own all the previous films and will simply add The Avengers when it comes out.
Daniellantern - 7/11/2012, 7:14 AM
Damn! It is awesome package!
comiccow6 - 7/11/2012, 7:15 AM
I didn't buy any of the DVD's in preparation for this. TAKE THAT!!!
TheMfayz - 7/11/2012, 7:16 AM
@KingMarvel on amazon it's about $153. CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS THING
DraculaX - 7/11/2012, 7:18 AM
I'm the only one doesn't have Blu-ray. Oh well, bring on the DVD.
thalidomide - 7/11/2012, 7:20 AM

I don't have a Blu-ray Player but I'm planning on buying one.
craig14l - 7/11/2012, 7:23 AM
This is frickin sweet! Anyone know if this is coming out in the UK?
prototype87 - 7/11/2012, 7:23 AM
AvatarIII - 7/11/2012, 7:35 AM
I already own all the movies so far, however there are a couple of reasons I'm replacing them with this set

a) I only have the first Iron Man on DVD as it pre-dates when I got a blu ray player.
b) I don't have Thor or Cap on 3D Blu ray, as they pre-date the time I bought a 3D TV.
c) I have both Thor and Cap in limited edition steel-book on blu, so they'll probably fetch a decent sum on ebay.
d) I've paid 80 for single movies in limited edition packaging before (both Watchmen and Terminator 2), paying £100 for 6 in limited edition packaging seems like a bargain
Dedpool - 7/11/2012, 7:37 AM
MUST Have! I will be selling my blu-rays for this. And posibly my soul!
xXkryptoniteXx - 7/11/2012, 7:38 AM
Cool but not buying cause I have all Blu rays of them already and the collection looks better when there all side by side. Especially when there are more coming out, I'll get the ultimate collection when it's all said and done for marvel and the avengers.
GoILL - 7/11/2012, 7:42 AM
That's pretty sweet.
Ceejay - 7/11/2012, 7:45 AM
That's not cool, that's cheesy!
Talontd - 7/11/2012, 7:47 AM
This is exactly why I downloaded all the movies....I was waiting for this bad boy!!!!

I honestly thought almost everyone had switched to Blu-Ray from DVD already.....really surprised to see so many people talking about having purchased the DVDs.

Whatever, time to go place my pre-order :D

superotherside - 7/11/2012, 7:49 AM
That does look too cool. Probably won't get it though because I don't have a blu-ray player. :(
ATrueHero1987 - 7/11/2012, 7:55 AM
I loved PS(Owned a PS & PS2) May get a PS3 if the new system comes out in 2014 but Xbox 360 has my heart!
thalidomide - 7/11/2012, 7:57 AM
Individual Boxset Art.

ATrueHero1987 - 7/11/2012, 8:00 AM
Also according to Amazon, this comes out Sept 25th along with the release of The Avengers or Blu Ray & DVD.
