AWESOME if true.
NerdyGeek - 11/9/2012, 4:59 PM
Please take this guy off CBM, for the love of God!
SageMode - 11/9/2012, 5:00 PM
Well, with Joss Whedon wanting Avengers 2 to be more personal, having the MOE as the main opposition would definitely be the relevant road to go.
DioFoRio - 11/9/2012, 5:18 PM
I love how people hate this dude...It's fun , it's news, it's fun nes about comic people take this shit too serious some times.
DioFoRio - 11/9/2012, 5:19 PM
@Dionysios people?
DioFoRio - 11/9/2012, 5:19 PM
Yes you people.....
DioFoRio - 11/9/2012, 5:19 PM
DioFoRio - 11/9/2012, 5:20 PM
Makes sense on the "Personal" tone of the second Avengers
jessepostal - 11/9/2012, 5:23 PM
@dion, i think you could use a drink my man

It would be the obvious way to go, just look at that picture in the article and tell me something doesn't look right.....with some of the info we have about phase 2
gunner - 11/9/2012, 5:33 PM
They need super villans no way around it , and this pack would do nicely.
Let's hope it's true and done friggin crazy !
marvel72 - 11/9/2012, 5:37 PM
great if true.i must admit though i was hoping for ultron, kang & introduce vision to the team.the masters of evil i would of saved for the third movie.

thanos needs a whole movie trilogy like the lord of the rings with a ton of heroes going up against him.

-the avengers

-the guardians of the galaxy

-the defenders(dr.strange,namor & the hulk)

-fantastic four(you never know by then fox may of lost the rights.)

@ halloweenjack

joss whedon hates wonder man but saying that if marvel tells him that they want wonder man in the movie he may show up.
DioFoRio - 11/9/2012, 5:45 PM
they have enough villains to make this happen especially after IM3 TTDW and CA
95 - 11/9/2012, 5:52 PM
I hope so. Personally, I never thought we'd ever see them on screen — it's amazing how far we've come. This is a better choice than Thanos — in my opinion. A supervillain team is the perfect 'next step'. We'd get to see Loki again, with his rising global popularity, Marvel would want that. Look, I could on and on — I hope Marvel takes this route.
CoolantTech - 11/9/2012, 6:06 PM
Wow... Im totally down with this!!
FirstAvenger - 11/9/2012, 6:13 PM
Crossbones, Zemo, Abomination, Mandarin and maybe the Enchantress & Exicutioner. That sounds EPIC!!!
jjk2814 - 11/9/2012, 7:11 PM
This would basically mean Justice League's thunder would be effectively stolen if they planned on using the Legion of Doom or anything along those lines.

I love DC, I want the Justice League to be awesome, but I say "Go for it Marvel!"

DC deserved to continue to pay for being so slow in their plans.
superotherside - 11/9/2012, 7:30 PM
It's probable I'm not sure weather this guy is legit or just a good guesser. I know he's been spot on with pretty much everything, but pretty much everything was already heavily rumored by the time he "confirms" it.

Still if true that would be fantastic.
ProNoob - 11/9/2012, 7:43 PM
VaCubFan - 11/9/2012, 8:11 PM while possibly cool... how do you set them up? they magically appear? do we spend half the film with THEIR backstories? WE all know who they, or most of them are, but "joe average/non-comic-book-geek" movie goer i can see going "who the frick are these guys? where'd they come from?"...Executioner/Enchantress, if not introduced in Thor 2 are sketchy (IMO) unless you see them start in Asgard...Zemo (along with crossbones), again, if not intro'd in CATWS is a big ol' "how the hell are these guys".. two of the remaining 3 in the pic i barely know from the books! Good idea, but hard to implement without any backstory
kevberg - 11/9/2012, 8:12 PM
This sounds like what i thought the true purpose of phase two was:

Much like the introduction of the avengers initiative, Phase two would be a central character going around "collecting" supervillains to take on the Avengers ins some way. That way you wouldn't have to spend a huge chunk of Avengers explaining who the Masters of evil are.
TheHawkWithin - 11/9/2012, 9:00 PM
This guy posts alot of true information, then sometimes posts false ones, so idk. But if this is true, we are looking at these possible members.

From Phase 1:
Justin Hammer
Red Skull
The Other

From Phase 2:
The Mandarin
Aldrich Killian
Radioactive Man
Malekith the Accursed
Algrim the Strong/Kurse
Winter Soldier
HULK2099 - 11/9/2012, 10:43 PM
Would be PERFECT!
thatdylhooper - 11/9/2012, 10:46 PM
Keep it coming
thatdylhooper - 11/9/2012, 10:48 PM
@hawk you forgot LOKI
Orphix - 11/10/2012, 2:24 AM
This is not that big a guess. It is pretty obvious its the way to go. The Avengers have already done the whole big invasion force/army thing. Now they go personal with each individual members facing off against their own personal nemesis. They may even swap foes like they did in the original comic book.

If The Avengers was the Magnificent Seven then The Avengers 2 will be more like Silverado (in a good way!).

@Hawk - you forgot The Leader and Arnim Zola.
EarOne - 11/10/2012, 3:11 AM
well..we still don't know who the MAIN villain in Cap 2 yet. and it's NOT gonna be Crossbones. Red Skull can always be recast..but, we'll see if baron zemo will appear in cap 2.

thor 2's got Malekith, still don't know bout enchantress and executioner, so could malekith take their place on the super villain team instead, we shall see.

as for the rest, the only one that's appeared and can be used again is Abomination, although it remains to be seen if Tim Roth will voice the character..i think marvel will prefer to save some dough and cast a vocal actor instead.
there's also Tim Blake Nelson as The Leader..but dunno if marvel will continue on his story or not.

and of course, there's the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), but we still don't know if he'll survive IM 3 or not...
StrangerX - 11/10/2012, 6:42 AM
I hope so
OmegaEffect - 11/10/2012, 6:43 AM
hoping for moe for avengers 2, end credits scene with guardians of the galaxy asking the avengers for help to deal with proud and mighty thanos setting up avengers 3
FirstAvenger - 11/10/2012, 8:37 AM
This makes so they have a bigger roster against Thanos.
TheHawkWithin - 11/10/2012, 8:39 AM

Thanks for point that out, I guess I kinda forgot about those two. I really hope they recast the Leader, Tim Blake Nelson was just wrong for that part.
dezdigi - 11/10/2012, 10:51 AM
MOE would be awesome. Perhaps they can make a team from Baron Zemo, RA Man, The Abomination, Crossbones, and a few others. It would be great if they could get the Enchantress and the Executioner in this too.
KaneVonDoom - 11/10/2012, 12:53 PM
Thanos can still be the big bad behind the scenes with MoE featuring. Similar to the Emperor in Star Wars. They'll need way more than the Avengers to take down Thanos especially if he gets his mitts on the Infinity Gauntlet.

MoE makes perfect sense for Avengers 2.
AlexDeLarge87 - 11/10/2012, 2:34 PM
Masters of Evil would be great.

I think its enough that we see Thanos in the GOTG movie. Gotta give the others a chance to appear on the big screen also.
Maybe let Thanos appear in the third film (If they ever get that far)

Baron Zemo or Red Skull
Enchantress&Executioner (Loki could replace them if they dont show up)
Radioactive Man or Mandarin.
Grim Reaper (He was great right hand man for Strucker in the Earths mightiest cartoon. Would love to see him as Red Skull´s or Baron Zemo´s henchman)
AlexDeLarge87 - 11/10/2012, 2:36 PM
Of course and Army of Hydra soldiers and Madame Hydra.
FanboyTrump - 11/10/2012, 4:31 PM
Odin - 11/11/2012, 2:24 AM
not buying it
BANE5000 - 11/11/2012, 11:15 PM
Sounds awesome, it would keep with Whedons idea of wanting to make the sequel more personal for the heroes, what better way of doing that than having sum of their enemies banding together against them and have Thanos be the mastermind of putting the MOE together to test The Avengers once more before he strikes them himself.
Purge18 - 11/11/2012, 11:15 PM
If I was Marvel going with this idea, I think a good route would be Thanos or the Other recruiting these villains in post credits scenes or something of the sort by offering what they offered Loki, maybe even an infinity gem each. I think the perfect team would be:

Mandarin with the gem of Time (interesting use against IM)
Baron Zemo (if in CATWS) gem of space
Malekith the reality gem
The Leader (doubt this will happen) the mind gem

Thanos would probably keep the power gem and soul gem
Mrcool210 - 11/13/2012, 6:51 AM
why would they tease thanos if they are using masters of evil?
DrDoom - 11/14/2012, 1:46 PM

Because the MCU goes beyond The Avengers. They teased Thanos for Guardians of the Galaxy.

I am so stoked for Masters of Evil.
