THE AVENGERS Partner with Japan's Top Jeweler; Promo Images & Character Bios

Revealing new detailed character back stories via yet another marketing deal in anticipation for Marvel's The Avengers, now with a Japanese Jeweler brand "Colantotte," hit the jump & check it!

While nearly two months remain until Marvel's The Avengers hits theaters, as we approach the anticipated May 4th release date, more marketing and licensing deals unveil. The latest comes via Colantotte, a "top" jeweler brand in Japan, whose known for their upscale magnetic jewelry. Using full promo images from The Avengers, previously seen, on their official site, new character bios, and products developed for the movie, check it out!

You may remember when filming was underway in Cleveland, Ohio, which is doubling for New York City in the film, one of the many false storefronts built had a "Colantotte" sign atop it. So it seems, similar to the Dr. Pepper truck being blown to bits, the Colantotte store's inclusion is another case of product placement.

The store's screentime in the film reportedly depicts Japanese store owners running out of the building, and looking up frightened by the mystery aliens' "mothership." Anyhow, check the source link to visit and explore the Colantotte site, and their products!

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Sounds interesting, but I guess from ALL of the films two or more years have past? Because with Fury's big week, Hulk breaking out of the bride thing is one of the last things that happen. Confused on the continuity now.
Amazo - 3/6/2012, 2:01 PM
What's next? Toilet paper so you can wipe your backsides on them?
nowtheresaBATman - 3/6/2012, 2:04 PM

Amazo - 3/6/2012, 2:08 PM
Like what?! It's nothing new at all! Just more merch bollocks. The blurb on the cards tells me nothing I didn't already know...
Nemesys - 3/6/2012, 2:09 PM
@GraphicCity - Yeah, like the Asgardian artifact that falls into the wrong hands on Earth! Hmmm..... Cosmic Cube anyone??
MarkJulian - 3/6/2012, 2:10 PM
@Amazon Ah yes, because you know what hasn't been revealed to anyone else before. You're secretly Chris Evans aren't you?
PaulRom - 3/6/2012, 2:11 PM
Very good reads indeed. Love that shot of Iron Man too.
Amazo - 3/6/2012, 2:11 PM
Oh yeah! I get you! The Avengers are all stress heads that need magnetic bracelets to calm them down and Dr.Pepper to parch their thirst after a hard days posing for adverts lol
Amazo - 3/6/2012, 2:12 PM
So what new info is there then?Spill the beans,I'm all ears......
DudeLove721 - 3/6/2012, 2:13 PM
I am visually-impaired (blind) could someone please transcribe the info those images reveal? Thanks!
superotherside - 3/6/2012, 2:14 PM
GraphicCity What do you think about the continuity "errors"? Doubt they are errors but how do you think it matches up? I explained it ^^^. But I would really like your thoughts on the matter. You've been getting Fury's Big Week right?
MarkJulian - 3/6/2012, 2:17 PM
I don't know, either there's a time skip in the movie or there's a mistake.
nitrorn - 3/6/2012, 2:18 PM
Vibranium condoms!
Benjamitesandwich - 3/6/2012, 2:22 PM
@all who are too dumb to see the info

Cap is the leader, Bruce hasn't been Hulk in two years, Thor comes to earth to stop Loki rather than coming because of Jane, and there are some interesting tidbits on Black Widow.
Amazo - 3/6/2012, 2:28 PM
Cap is the leader?,well duh, didn't see that coming.
Bruce hasn't been Hulk in 2
Thor comes for Loki?...heard that an age ago!
So the only real revelation is the Hulk not being the Hulk for two that's sure to be the backbone of the movie....riiiiight!
nowtheresaBATman - 3/6/2012, 2:30 PM
I want to see Black Widow's titbits!!
Benjamitesandwich - 3/6/2012, 2:33 PM
There had been speculation that Cap wasn't the leader for some time now. And how were we supposed to know Thor came to stop Loki? As far as I'm concerned, he thought his brother was long gone.

Sniff* *sniff* I smell trolls.
Giraffehead - 3/6/2012, 2:34 PM
Obviously Thor coming for an Asgardian artifact has piqued my interest.

Could it be possible that this is the opening that was mentioned before the credits? Some mini mission for Thor that brings him to Earth?

It could also just be Loki, but my mind went somewhere else I guess.
Amazo - 3/6/2012, 2:40 PM
I'm not dissing the movie at all!I'm looking forward to it (though I'm nervous for it)
We were having fun taking the piss out of the merch, that's all. Then along comes GraphicCity insinuating that we hadn't read the article and missed a 'ton' of info.
As for the Thor/Loki thing,I can't be arsed to sit here and leaf through every article I've read over the last few months, but I distinctly remember reading multiple times that Thor is here to confront Loki and tries to get the other Avengers to deal with him his way,as his brother.
That Cap was going to end up the leader was a given.
superotherside - 3/6/2012, 2:40 PM
GraphicCity Heh, oh well with you stumped I guess there is no hope for me figuring it out till new info arises... lol. ;P
Benjamitesandwich - 3/6/2012, 2:43 PM

Thanks for clearing that shite up. I understands now.
Amazo - 3/6/2012, 2:46 PM
We're cool mate.People need to lighten up and if they have a point,at least explain what they mean.Graphic just popped up and had a go for no reason. So I stood my ground. No biggy :)
dahamma - 3/6/2012, 3:57 PM

...oh and cool bios. I still wanna know how Thor is going to comeback to Earth
Zordan - 3/6/2012, 4:35 PM

NerdByBirth - 3/6/2012, 4:37 PM
Hawkeye's quiver is allegedly mechanised. I think that's a bigger spoiler than anything else in this article
mgeoff88 - 3/6/2012, 4:37 PM
Nice find. Their bios have some very interesting info.
bobevanz - 3/6/2012, 5:57 PM

They need to make their posters for just thor cap hulk and IM. Every single person i talk to or show the trailers to, ask me, "whos that girl with the glock and the guy with the bow?" some people cant even remember scarlet from IM2. Having them in the group is cool, but those 4 got their own movies for a reason. Ive been waiting to see these 4 together, not those 6, so id like some promo stuff with just the 4.
hartley07 - 3/6/2012, 9:57 PM
magnet bracelets are retarded. the sales person pulls you down by one hand and you stumble. put the bracelet on you and magically you can resist the pull now. you are expecting what they are going to do so you brace yourself properly the second time. you want better endurance, balance and strength, go to the gym. Or beat tony to the punch and build the mark VIII.
laughterman26 - 3/6/2012, 10:32 PM
Have any of you noticed the only one that actually said anything about that whole megnet neo crap was cap and then the rest just rambled on about what to do with it -

soo i can use it for keeping me sharp and focused, being uuseless against supervillains, helps me stay loose and focus on the target at hand, perfect technology for keeping me even more loose [jesus christ who the f_ck am i mr fantastic!]and helps me with new challenges

Helps me maintain strength and endurance whether im at golf or at the office, and is made from high quality titanium and stainless steel whilst providing durability and looking stylish.

WOW with this band i can be a super skrull!!!!!

SpiderFan35 - 3/7/2012, 12:47 PM
Wow, they are leaving no merchandising stone unturned.

I recently watche Morgan Spurlock's documentary "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold" and it certainly reminded me of all of this CBM merchandising.

Oh no, did I just promote his movie for him? lol
