I would go to this, but I have all of them on blu-ray. So, I shall have my own marathon in the comfort of my own home.

Going. Can't wait.
SeriousJokester - 4/20/2012, 12:47 PM
Still, the fact that it sold out in alot of places 2 weeks ago speaks well for Marvel/Disney financially
NerdyGeek - 4/20/2012, 12:48 PM
I would be totally exhausted after watching five other movies, I wouldn't give two shits about the Avengers by midnight. Just sayin'

FREE HUGS FOR EVERYONE

Actually, I couldn't buy into this $40 buck-a-roo marathon bull crap, not when I have all the films and can easily watch them within the comfort of my home.

Have a little get-together with a few of my closest pals and not have to deal with jerkwads in tight pants and skinny jeans.

THE PERFECT PLAN. Muwahaha.
MrSuperheromoviefan - 4/20/2012, 12:57 PM

@MarvelWeiner- Elijah Wood looks like such a tool in that photo.
ManofSteel23 - 4/20/2012, 1:24 PM
I like how they showed the avengers hulk for ''the incredible hulk'' rather thn the actually incredible hulk from the film,I love the whole universe but the little fact that they changed the actor for banner annoys me to [frick]
thedude2936 - 4/20/2012, 1:26 PM
i dont have an AMC theater anywhere near where i live and i have all those movies on dvd so i too will be enjoying a marathon of my own at home
sexfoodcomics - 4/20/2012, 1:36 PM
I have all the movies at home too. But there's something about seeing them on a huge screen again with huge sound and over 100 other die hard marvel fans. So I'll be going to this marathon.
jeffncarrie4234 - 4/20/2012, 1:42 PM
I already have my tickets and am going to see this. I can't wait took two days off of work for this. My wife just looked at me and said Nerd. I told her that was the nicest thing she has ever said to me.
KalEl1996 - 4/20/2012, 1:45 PM
Tomorrow I'm gonna watch Iron Man.

Captain America: The First Avenger
Iron Man
The Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2
The Informant
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer
Thor
The Avengers

I am watching them in this order to minimize interruptions, but I hope to make a fan-edit of all the films based on this timeline someday:

Gmoney84 - 4/20/2012, 3:42 PM
I hate how they treat TIH like the redheaded stepchild of the MCU. I love that movie.

Gmoney84 - 4/20/2012, 3:44 PM
On second viewing all of the clip is from the avengers.
thingrock4 - 4/20/2012, 3:45 PM
@marvel72-your 2nd lineup is chronologically correct-TIH was AFTER IM and IM2-KICK ASS!!! MAKE MINE MARVEL!!!!
BIGBMH - 4/20/2012, 3:47 PM
So why exactly didn't they use footage from the solo movies for this? Just saying. It's the whole concept of the marathon. They even had the logos.

I agree, Gmoney84. It really is one of the best they've done. If only more people had gone to see it.
EditNinja - 4/20/2012, 4:19 PM
Great idea, but yep, bluray is cheaper & easier.
jessepostal - 4/20/2012, 4:25 PM
How could anyone sit thru that many movies in one day, don't get me wrong i love those movies but that is a little extreme isn't it.
brewtownpsych - 4/20/2012, 4:51 PM
TIH Reboot with Avengers version? there i said it.
ralfinader - 4/20/2012, 5:41 PM
brewtownpsych - 4/20/2012, 4:51 PM
TIH Reboot with Avengers version? there i said it.

I want it!

marvel72 - 4/20/2012, 5:45 PM
@ thingrock4

yeah i think thats how it goes chronologically,it may not be 100% correct but close enough.
mrHJK - 4/20/2012, 6:45 PM
Captain America: The First Avenger (WW2)
Iron Man
Iron Man 2 > TIH & The Consultant
^
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer
v
Thor
Captain America:TFA (modern scenes)
The Avengers

Okay, so IM2, TIH & Thor HAVE to happen around the same time. Obviously in IM2, when Stark is debriefed by Fury, TIH news footage is on the screen, also Stark is made Consultant, meaning that the One-shot "The Consultant" happens after this, but also after the events of TIH, so inserted in between the end of that film with Banner and Stark's cameo. Also, following Coulson..He leaves IM2 to be in Thor, but in between that of course goes "AFTHOTWTTH" (the other one shot)..
SOOO I guess the question is which One shot comes first?
facehugger81 - 4/20/2012, 9:57 PM
@mrHulk: what if I borrow all tv's and DVD players in my house and pass from a movie to other as needed? And booyah!
NoAssemblyReqd - 4/21/2012, 3:25 AM
Based on on where the movies END, I think the best order is this:

Captain America (based on Times Square ending, not the Avengers teaser)
Iron Man (Fury: "You think you're the only superhero...?")
Iron Man 2 (Thor hammer in desert)
A Funny Thing Happened... (prelude to THOR)
The Incredible Hulk
The Consultant (explains end of TIH)
Thor (Selvig at SHIELD)

There's no way to get it perfectly chronological, but I think this is a pretty dramatically satisfying film order, with the Tesseract appearing at the beginning and end. I'm not positive about the end of CA:TFA, but it would make sense that Fury found CA first, hence the end of IM1. Revelations in THE AVENGERS may change this.
marknjoanna - 4/21/2012, 7:53 AM
this is the best order.ironman/inc hulk/ironman 2/a funny thnig happened/thor/cap am then the avengers.but maybe thats just 4 me.ps a nolanite bud of mine said his was tdk/tdk/tdk
bb
tdk and then tdk owell
