UPDATE: Full Version Of "The Consultant" Short Film From THOR Blu-Ray Leaks Online!

We've caught a glimpse of it before, but we now have the FULL version of the short which sees a meeting between Agent Coulson and Jasper Sitwell as they discuss sending a "Consultant" to meet with The Incredible Hulk's General Ross...

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel’s The Avengers" is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1963, "Marvel’s The Avengers" brings together the mightiest super hero characters as they all assemble together on screen for the first time. The star studded cast of super heroes will be joined by Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgård.

No one was expecting the following to find it's way online until AFTER the blu-ray's release next month, but after the movie was leaked early in a few countries, we now have "The Consultant" courtesy of Twitter's @antovolk.

Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Ramanoff/Black Widow
Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk
Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
Tom Hiddleston as Loki

I hope the deleted scenes leak soon.
marvelstudios - 8/31/2011, 3:03 AM
shorter than i expected, but still liked it
AmonWarmann - 8/31/2011, 3:06 AM

GUNSMITH - 8/31/2011, 3:08 AM
antovolk - 8/31/2011, 3:10 AM
@TelaVIzion the next one is "A funny thing happened on the way to Thor's hammer" that got previewed at SDCC. Basically Coulson in a service station while it's getting robbed.
antovolk - 8/31/2011, 3:10 AM
And yes, it will be on the Cap BD.
NeoBaggins - 8/31/2011, 3:11 AM
Cool they're keeping the The Incredible HULK events in tact. I hope William Hurt comes back and I'm glad they brought some conclusion to what's going on with Blonsky.

I like it. They just need to change that generic computer program music to a more respectful score. I'm sure Paramount allows the usage of all the scores used in the films. That DVD menu screen music cheapens the one shot. But cool nonetheless.
supermanallstar - 8/31/2011, 3:11 AM
haha awesome!
Triptheorist - 8/31/2011, 3:16 AM
From the way people have been talking about this, I expected it to be a lot longer, and more than just two guys in a diner.
thalidomide - 8/31/2011, 3:17 AM
can you believe Marvel came up with this? this Marvel One shot thing is awesome. i hope there's more coming :)
95 - 8/31/2011, 3:18 AM
Marvelous find Josh! Seems like Marvel cleared up that [Ross and Stark meeting].
manthingnitsuj - 8/31/2011, 3:24 AM
i so happy.
blvdnoise - 8/31/2011, 3:25 AM
Didn't think this would happen so soon.. It'll be pulled down by noon. LOL
Rulk - 8/31/2011, 3:32 AM
Umm... I don't know... just doesn't quite fit with the Stark Ross scene. Felt like a bunch of fans made this and inserted Hulk scenes. The guy opposite Coulson seemed like just an amateur
VanCityKid - 8/31/2011, 3:32 AM
This...is actually really well thought out
DeadpoolDan - 8/31/2011, 3:35 AM
Nice, cant believe its got out so fast, nice work Josh and antovolk!
marvel72 - 8/31/2011, 3:49 AM
i thought it would of been about fifteen minutes,so shorter than i first thought but it was still pretty good.
RexDartEskimoSpy - 8/31/2011, 4:07 AM
Two guys eating pancakes for three minutes is roughly 100% more entertaining than the Green Lantern movie.
mickbhoy - 8/31/2011, 4:08 AM
brilliant, marvel needs to make so much more of these things, they are great for tiny bits of info but are also cheap and easy to make, god i hope they are actually sitting on a big bank of them somewhere. imagine, 1 a week or a month like the comics only released on marvel.com.
HULK2099 - 8/31/2011, 4:13 AM
SuperSoldier004 - 8/31/2011, 4:14 AM
Is it just me or is Tony saying "the super soldier program was put on 'ice' for a reason" extremely ironic..
VanCityKid - 8/31/2011, 4:56 AM
@JLA2014 you shouldnt be talking especially if your precious JLA aint making it on screen anytime soon

Chewtoy - 8/31/2011, 5:05 AM
Fun... So is this the video equivalent of a Retcon or just worthy of a No-Prize? Either way, you can see the need to smooth things over from scenes that were written and filmed long before an Avengers script was finalized. It's really quite clever in that regard.
Jefferys - 8/31/2011, 5:10 AM
I thought it'd be a lot then those three minutes as a lot of people have pointed out. It seemed though to be nice tune to connect unknown points into the timeline.

It has made a couple of things a lot clearer
phoe1 - 8/31/2011, 5:29 AM
something about that clip is lifeless and dull. the direction is efficient but soulless. i didint really enjoy it. was glad things got tied but but not entertained.

i think a few shots breaking that stereotypical diner scene would have helped. just ambient shots or the agents entering the place. guess the budget couldnt stretch that far :S

Kamdan - 8/31/2011, 5:30 AM
The best thing about Captain America was that Agent Coulson was not in it.
ElBicho - 8/31/2011, 5:46 AM
Nicely done!
Wolverine19742 - 8/31/2011, 5:57 AM
Now all the end Easter eggs up till Iron Man make perfect sense.
Tanngnjostr - 8/31/2011, 6:12 AM
Damn, I'm late...already removed
antovolk - 8/31/2011, 6:26 AM
It's back up!
Fogs - 8/31/2011, 7:13 AM
SWEET - I love how they connected the Stark x Ross scene.

I also thought it would be longer, but the points made are soooo good.

That's the cool thing in having a single studio connecting the movies... Easter eggs!
Dedpool - 8/31/2011, 7:18 AM
THAT WAS AWESOME! I love Coulson and Sitwell is pretty cool himself.
Cerebro - 8/31/2011, 7:57 AM
Man that was to short, i want more.
cole33 - 8/31/2011, 7:58 AM
That was fun, I'd love to see wolverine incorporated into something like this, in the way they talk about blonsky going in, who should we find to handle x,y,z....

"Well we could ask the canadian"

" - no no we're not doing that again, the fewer dead bodies the better, and that one's not good at "fewer dead bodies"."

"Maybe, but we need the job done, and we need a guarantee, and that one is the best at the job we need done, I'll ask him to be nice"

"He doesn't know how to do that"

soaponapope - 8/31/2011, 8:03 AM
awful, its like they couldnt figure out if they wanted it to be serious or funny. was the other guy supposed to be another SHIELD agent?
JackBauer - 8/31/2011, 8:31 AM
Thought it would be longer but nice :)
bcmerr01 - 8/31/2011, 10:39 AM
That damn ad just blew one of speakers.
StarkRaving - 8/31/2011, 10:53 AM
That was great for what it was -- a very, very short film featuring two minor Marvel characters adding some background and context to larger events.

More, please, Marvel.
StarkRaving - 8/31/2011, 10:55 AM
@soaponarope, it was serious with some dry humor. And yes, the other guy was a SHIELD agent.
HeyVanity - 8/31/2011, 11:07 AM
Well, that's a retcon if I ever saw one...
