I'd say Best Director, Best Score and Best Supporting Actor are their best shots. Everything else has no chance.
AC1 - 11/24/2012, 10:20 AM
Best Score is the only thing they have going for this.
rea1dea1stee1 - 11/24/2012, 10:24 AM
i think there peein into wind on all counts ;)
RorMachine - 11/24/2012, 10:24 AM
That death scene really didn't work did it? Which is a shame because she was very good right up to it.
Spideyguy94 - 11/24/2012, 10:24 AM
@TheHolyDemon agreed, very overacted death
SauronsBANE - 11/24/2012, 10:25 AM
The first poster is pretty sick. Their best chances would be Best Supporting Actor (Tom Hardy), best actress (Anne Hathaway), and best score.
LegacyFilms - 11/24/2012, 10:27 AM
Yeah Marion's death scene could've easily been better.
Funsize - 11/24/2012, 10:27 AM
best score that's it
Preston - 11/24/2012, 10:33 AM

Danbojohnj - 11/24/2012, 10:36 AM
Catwomans ass aside,Dredd was the better film, shame only about four people in America watched it.
CoolantTech - 11/24/2012, 10:37 AM
This is a Joke, the only things I could think of it getting nominated for is cinematography, and score

Avengers was just a better movie
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 11/24/2012, 10:38 AM
Best score.
CrazyKeaton - 11/24/2012, 10:39 AM
A batman movie without batman.. Alfred had more screen time than batman did!
StormLoganSummers - 11/24/2012, 10:41 AM
Best Supporting Actor - Tom Hardy
SecretApprentice71 - 11/24/2012, 10:42 AM
Best original score for sure, directing and story could win it too.
Ranger14 - 11/24/2012, 10:43 AM
Said it before and I will say it again, if you have to campaign that hard for an award, you probably don't deserve it. If you deserve it, those nominating and voting will already have been impressed enough by watching the film.
jimpinto24 - 11/24/2012, 10:43 AM
TDKR was epic! One of my favorite comic book movies. I hope this time around Chris Nolan doesn't get robbed!
RobertKent - 11/24/2012, 10:48 AM
I'd say best actor, Christian really blow it on this one !
marvel72 - 11/24/2012, 10:49 AM
shouldn't be considered at all, maybe score but that's about it.
Fogs - 11/24/2012, 10:50 AM
Loved the movie. But that 1st poster reminds me one of the stupid ass moments: the flaming bat. I picture bruce, after coming back from the prison, in the middle of a crisis like that, rapelling from the top of the bridge and painting it with kerosene or something. I felt bad.
CaptainAmerica31 - 11/24/2012, 10:55 AM
Bane did a great Job, I'd say supporting actors, score, and director. TDKR is the only CBM this year with a chance at an award other than that avengers or TASM won't be nominated.
CaptainAmerica31 - 11/24/2012, 10:55 AM
NVM Dredd has a chamce
Equivocal - 11/24/2012, 10:56 AM
the golden globes are the bait for the oscars, it might get some nominations coz the globes are 'funner' and not as serious as the oscar, still
this makes me giggle...!

Grievo - 11/24/2012, 10:57 AM
Talia al Ghoul for Best Supporting Actress? SOMEONE IS DRUNK. No? Please rewatch her death scene expository monologue.
Funsize - 11/24/2012, 11:06 AM
these award campaigns are getting silly though
Maximus101 - 11/24/2012, 11:15 AM
Ya Tdkr likely won't win very much but I don't know why some fanboys think avengers has a better chance lol the avengers cgi is the only thing going for it and the fact that it made a lot of money, assuming the hobbit doesn't surpass it of coarse.
FOOM - 11/24/2012, 11:18 AM
Can't see TDKR (or The Avengers or TASM for that matter)winning much if anything in the world of film awards. Its laughable folks.Just enjoy them all for what they are and not for what you want them to be.
imnotwearinghockeypants - 11/24/2012, 11:28 AM
Lame. Ass kissing for awards season. Hollywood loves patting themselves on the back for playing make believe.
Marqy47 - 11/24/2012, 11:34 AM

well WB is takin these awards seriously ... thats a lot of puchin .. good for them
Marqy47 - 11/24/2012, 11:34 AM
Marqy47 - 11/24/2012, 11:37 AM

So Phill shot both Bane and Loki ? This guy is a beast !! :D
CaptainAmerica31 - 11/24/2012, 11:38 AM
LOL - 11/24/2012, 11:39 AM
Score and Cinematography only... the rest are pretty laughable (no offense to the actors and actresses). I cannot in good conscience say Bale was at his best in this one as acting like throat-cancer Batman in all three films is not something I can take seriously. I rather liked him in American Psycho as he was damn sight more scary then than he was here. I gotta give it to Gary Oldman, Hathaway, Freeman, and to some extent, Hardy (when he didn't talk)... none of them went completely overboard with their characters, though Hardy sounded like a caricature since that voice coming from his mask was just about as obnoxious as Bale's voice was when he wore the batsuit. JGL felt like a two-dimensional character to me. He was like that kid in those Shamalayan films was creepily way too mature and knows EVERYTHING.

As for screenplay: way too much exposition, and it dragged on and on with it. The movie as a whole was OK, but nothing spectacular. Avengers on the other hand was also an OK film, but despite of it supposedly being the most mistake-filled movie "supposedly" this year - was more enjoyable as the almost three-hour length feature went by faster than expected. And while it's not up for consideration, the way the fans supported the film and the numbers that showed was pretty much an award in itself. That's probably the best recognition there is as once the academy and globe accolades die down, the movies will still be talked about hereafter still when everyone already forgets the number of shiny trinkets won to it's name.
CaptainAmerica31 - 11/24/2012, 11:42 AM
@halloweenjack there were plenty of movies with higher ratings than Benjamin button and Hugo and they still won plenty of awards. Besides the acting in TDKR beats the avengers, the story beats the avengers so I would say TDKR beats the avengers therefore is has abetter chance at the awards. Besides the avengers isn't campaigning cause they know they're not gonna win or even get nominated
Mego - 11/24/2012, 11:44 AM

They have 20 possible films for best picture-No Dark Knight Rises.
No TDKR predictions in ANY category. Just an outside shot at costumes, editing and sound mixing.
If an action film gets any wins it will be 'SKYFALL'. Which is as it should be. Skyfall>TDKR!
MisterBabadook - 11/24/2012, 11:45 AM
After last night, it's become abundantly clear to me that "Life of Pi" will clean out the award shows this year
Nubase - 11/24/2012, 11:49 AM
it will be nominated for score, best supporting actress, cinematograghy and score and l would not be surprised if nolan get nominated for best director, the reason l say this is because l've not only just watched cbm movies this but non cbm's and l have to say nolan would have to be the best director this year so far.

But if tdkr win any oscar it would be a fantastic achievement, they have been calls for the oscar to be more mainstream and less snobbish so we will wait and see come december when the nominess are annouced but this is the first time that WB are putting the full backing to the batman so they must know something that we do not.
ShadesAtKnightII - 11/24/2012, 11:54 AM
This early in the awards season, it is pretty standard to make "For Your Consideration" posters for everything possible. It gets people thinking.

It will be a crime if Zimmer isn't nominated for this. Fantastic score.
Azazel1 - 11/24/2012, 12:00 PM
Totally deserves a best picture nom-was one of the best films I saw this past year!!!
INFO - 11/24/2012, 12:07 PM
Best Actor:Should go to Bale he really deserves it this was his best performance of Bruce Wayne and Batman it made me tear up and made me cheer for him not many superhero actors can do it but he did so he gets it in my vote.
