An aerial stunt for Christopher Nolan's upcoming Batman film The Dark Knight Rises went horribly wrong the other day sending one of the stuntmen crashing through a home owners roof. Click here to find out more...

A parachutist nearly fell to his death while performing a risky aerial stunt for Christopher Nolan's final installment in his Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. The stuntman was sent plummeting towards the Earth but amazingly survived by landing on the roof of a home.

A PARACHUTIST plunged through the roof of a holiday home last night when a stunt for the new Batman film went wrong.
For the past week, a crew working for Warner Brothers has been rehearsing skydiving scenes for the Hollywood blockbuster 8,000ft above Feshiebridge, near Avie-more.

Pavel Satny, a professional photographer who has a home there, was in his garden around 8.30pm when the surprise visitor dropped in.
The stuntman went through the roof of the chalet next door and got wedged there.

Mr Satny said: “It was incredible. I’m amazed he survived.

“There were five parach-utists overhead. I was busy watching one of the other men, as it looked as if he was going to land in the forest next door.

“All of a sudden, out of the corner of my eye, I saw another man fall straight down into the roof next door. He dropped just like a stone.

“I didn’t know what to do – whether to get my ladder or my wife! I got my ladder and made my way to help him.

“He was so, so lucky. He could have easily died.”

Another witness said: "To be honest, it looked more bizarre than dangerous - it was like something out of a cartoon."

"The Dark Knight Rises" is scheduled for July 20, 2012 release across the United States.

If it were me, I would of preferred his wife instead of the ladder.

They should hire the Transformer guys. Those dudes are sick for jumping out of planes with Squirrel gear on.

It would be pretty funny to see Batman just randomly fall down on your roof.

never endanger a man's life that is why there is CGI now. life is precious. remember that woman extra in TF3 that is now a vegetable. tsk tsk tsk we only live once, don't waste it in some fricking stunt.

stuntmen in big CBM's have no luck what so ever in Avengers a dude got scalped and this guy crash landed. and they both probably went back to work with in hours thats what you call a true professional.

I wonder if this was the stunt they needed permission to do. Anyone remember that story from a few days ago?

But is the rumor true that the parachutist PUSHED the director of GREEN LANTERN out of the plane hatch in front of him? GREEN LANTERN dropped like a STONE too....
SpiderFan35 - 7/5/2011, 1:00 PM
On IMDB it says that an extra driving a car in a Transformers 3 scene had a snapped cable come through the windshield, now she has permanent partial paralysis and loss of vision, and the studio paid an untold amount for her medical care. If this is true that has got to be one of the worst movie injuries lately.
Joker08 - 7/5/2011, 1:05 PM
Nolan needs to hire a new stunt coordinator...

People need to be less crazy about filming for superhero movies. A stunt guy from the Avengers movie got pretty roughed up not too long ago.
