Gotham City Police Pursue Batman On The Batpod In Latest TDKR Set Videos!

Gotham City Police Pursue Batman On The Batpod In Latest TDKR Set Videos!

Taken from a distance during last night's filming in Los Angeles, Batman (on the Batpod_ is being pursued by dozens of Gotham PD vehicles in what is sure to be an action packed, thrilling chase sequence...

Both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight featured their fair share of thrilling chase sequences, but it looks as if The Dark Knight Rises will outdo them both! We've already seen a few other set videos covering plenty of vehicular action, but last night's nighttime shoot in Los Angeles saw over 20 police vehicles chasing down Batman on the Batpod.

Many thanks to YouTube's BlightsBiohazard for the following footage.

And thanks to jonathanebrock for this one.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Michael Caine as Alfred
Gary Oldman as Commissioner Jim Gordon
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox
Tom Hardy as Bane

AtoMik23 - 10/2/2011, 3:48 AM
The Dark Knight meets The Blues Brothers?!
Looks really cool. Can't wait to see this!!!!!
superman7 - 10/2/2011, 4:13 AM
i wonder if this is picking up right after TDK.
superman7 - 10/2/2011, 4:13 AM
my bad superdude.
Fantine - 10/2/2011, 4:18 AM
As demonhunter said, how to do you not know thats Ms Kyle on that bike?
patriautism - 10/2/2011, 4:19 AM
@CaptainProg I agree. This does look like it could be the scene directly after TDK ends...
AtoMik23 - 10/2/2011, 5:34 AM
Maybe...... Batman is leading the police in a bid to retake Gotham for Bane!? Sort of a Batman/Police uprising.
AtoMik23 - 10/2/2011, 5:35 AM
*from Bane!!! :P
TequilaMan - 10/2/2011, 5:45 AM
How do you do this, Josh???Lol, nice discovery! :P
dcbat - 10/2/2011, 5:51 AM
im guessing that some time passes between tdk and tdkr. not in years but months. nice video
TheDominicanBoy - 10/2/2011, 6:06 AM
yeeahhhhhhhhh batman public enemy!!!!
Supes17 - 10/2/2011, 6:10 AM
He must have done some bad shit lol
TopCat89 - 10/2/2011, 6:30 AM
That looks like an epic scene....i agree with @superdude115 and @superman7 with it picking up straight after tdk's final scene. Wanted for multiple murders including important people, he would have many police cars on his tail!
Nubase - 10/2/2011, 6:33 AM
this could be the opening sequence like some have suggested from tdk ending but l'm sure batman will have plenty more chases from the cops, remember he is public enemy after taking the fall for harvey dent and every time he comes out not only he got bane and the shadows to deal with but the cops also, make you think how he gona cope
Ichaos - 10/2/2011, 6:38 AM
Any reason they have to call it the batpod and not the batcycle? Pods are what peas are stored in
Nubase - 10/2/2011, 6:39 AM

l'm sure the joker situation will be addressed in the early stages of the movie, its something they must out to bed, last thing they need is critics coming out and saying what about the joker, what happened to him?, l have a theory and it could be that he got shanked in prison, we won't see it but it will be mentioned perhaps....don't know, but it will be adressed to allow the movie to move forwards
Ichaos - 10/2/2011, 6:39 AM
And the video was usless. Just looks like an average Chicago night to me
Supes17 - 10/2/2011, 6:41 AM
There's a superman 7?
[frick] I need a better username lmao
Dynamo - 10/2/2011, 6:53 AM

That might not be the case, I don't think the cops are just going to be around the corner waiting for him. I think the shot is supposed to be more police cars coming around the corner from different parts of the city. They can't actually film that, so it's the stuntmen waiting for the shot to start not the police waiting for batman to drive past.
Ichaos - 10/2/2011, 6:54 AM
Catwoman: The Batman? Sheeaat! They still owe you money, fool.
Batman: Ma'am, would it make you feel any better if you knew that what we're asking Bane here to do is a holy thing?
Gordon: You see, we're on a mission from God.
Catwoman: Don't you blaspheme in here!

Batman: It's 106 miles to Gotham, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing capes.
Robin: Hit it.

Bread - 10/2/2011, 7:30 AM
@Intruder I bet their waiting for Gordon to give them the word to move in like he said in TDK, and I bet the cop in the first cars gonna say "THAT'S THE GODDAMN BATMAN LET'S GO!" that would be cool :)
MrReese - 10/2/2011, 7:45 AM
cant [frick]in wait!!!!
batters - 10/2/2011, 7:57 AM

Gnyah123 - 10/2/2011, 10:28 AM
yall prob. right..prob. from the end of the DK leading into the DKR wit a police chase and if not...then could be another scene just dnt kno what exactly
OnLeatherWings - 10/2/2011, 10:43 AM
I KNEW IT!!!!!!! i drive around LA all day for my job and have seen them setting up stuff for a movie all day and was thinkin its tdkr. its gotta be a continuation of the last scene of the tdk because the way the streets of LA are set up look a lot like it. with the the roads flowing underneath each other and emerging on surface level. LA looks exactly like that last scene. also one of the spots i post at has all the vehicles for tdkr in a lot across the street including gcpd swat cars and police cars. super cool haha
NeoBaggins - 10/2/2011, 5:19 PM
The definition of EPIC. The entire Gotham Police force knows to respect the Bat to an extreme degree.

It will be interesting to see what kind of damage Batman can do with the 'Batpod' by being chased by the 'Po-Po's' Will it live up to The 'Tumbler'? :o
