HQ Pictures of The Dark Knight Rises Epic Wall Street Battle

HQ Pictures of The Dark Knight Rises Epic Wall Street Battle

Check out images of the battle on the Batman set, with some great action shots of Matthew Modine leading the charge of the Gotham police force.

The latest scoop is that an extra in the battle scene was tossing punches next to Matthew Modine and his badge didn't say Nixon. The badge actually had "Fynch" on the name tag. Maybe he is related to the first D.A., the guy killed in Batman Begins, Katie Holmes' boss. But that name was spelled "Finch" in the credits, but I never saw the name spelled in the film, so maybe, but its pure speculation on my part.

i think that Bane will turn Gotham against itself, so many of the citeizens will have joined the League of Shadows side to remain safe
RunDTC - 11/5/2011, 2:13 PM
Nolan looks like a boss!

Catwoman needs to come down here and sort them all out.

@JDUKE25 And those pics are why you're one of my favorite users on CBM. :P
This battle is looking crazy, on screen it's gonna be amazing.

SKetCH - 11/5/2011, 2:39 PM
Anyone else notice this...??

In the picture with all the graffiti, on the top right of the airlines poster, someone scratched out the 'b-i' in the phrase "KEEP CLIMBING" and replaced it with a 'b-o'.

"Keep ClimBONG".

Hahaha a stoner would find that...
NeoBaggins - 11/5/2011, 2:43 PM
@Rykoo He's probably sitting in prison saying "I Llllike this guy!"

Of course the black people are holding the guns.. jp, jp:p
krooklyndodger - 11/5/2011, 3:15 PM
@ Intruder: You're an idiot.
This actually looks pretty damn epic. Seeing that many extras on screen is what early hollywood films stand out. And not replicating people through CGI.
ultimatefan1974 - 11/5/2011, 3:16 PM
Hahaha, hords or armed hoodlums in front of the Trump Building, if only that were true...

Steve Jobs has once said this as well:

"Good artist copy, GREAT artist steal."
~ Pablo Picasso

We are a product of our times.
Steal: to make your own.

"I steal from every single movie ever made. If people don't like that, then tough tills, don't go and see it, all right? I steal from everything. Great artists steal, they don't do homages."
~ Quentin Tarantino
graveyardtramp - 11/5/2011, 3:34 PM
Intruder - Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles used the long, continuous shot in their films decades before Scorsese did, and it's been used by many great filmmakers since Goodfellas (Robert Alterman, Paul T Anderson in the opening to Boogie Nights). Sorry, but it's not a shot that Scorsese invented or owns, it's a long-standing filmmaking technique that great filmmakers use if they are good enough to structure it and make it work.

You are right though - Nolan isn't Scorsese at his best, but Scorsese hasn't been at his best for a long long time.
95 - 11/5/2011, 3:35 PM
Okay @nailbiter111

krooklyndodger - 11/5/2011, 3:45 PM
Intruder: you're still a trolling, whining lil' bonehead. No movie, no story, no filming style can be completely original. Most filmmakers will always say what inspired them, why should Nolan be any different?
slimybug - 11/5/2011, 3:58 PM
Seriously, why are you putting the picture of Modine on the front page so everyone, whether they want to be spoiled or not, has to see it?
UnscrupalousSmurf - 11/5/2011, 4:02 PM
What is going on in this movie?
GiftedYoungster - 11/5/2011, 4:09 PM
@Intruder you're absolutely right about him ripping people off.

I thought that all the movies that you've directed so far have been both groundbreaking and completely original. You totally know what you're talking about here.

Oh . . . wait . . .
patriautism - 11/5/2011, 4:23 PM
R3emember when I wrote that article about TDKR being visually based on Full Metal Jacket? Probably not, but it seems as if my prediction is coming true...
krooklyndodger - 11/5/2011, 4:24 PM
@ GiftedYoungster: LOL!

@ Intruder: The ultimate authority on film. You opinion matters very lil' when you consider the quantity of fans looking forward to Nolan's movies. Stop being a internet warrior. Within nearly every film produced, EVERY filmmaker has borrowed [excuse me, in your words "stolen"] from other films and filmmakers that they were inspired by. Not too mention any fan of cinema/ film would naturally be influenced by the films they have watched growing.
95 - 11/5/2011, 4:26 PM

You seek originality... and we're talking about comic book adaptations?

Also... no one "owns" any cinematography technique.

krooklyndodger - 11/5/2011, 4:40 PM
@ Intruder: You give your rants way to much credibility. I'm having fun at your expense. One your biggest mistakes is "...but I do happen to watch a lot of movies and I consider myself to have some inkling of what i'm talking about. And I dont even have to sit in a directors chair.."

You're just another film fan, or whatever, that decides to go against the grain for the sake of [attempting] to appear that you know what you're talkin' about.

Your commentary carries no weight, again, I am having fun at YOUR EXPENSE.
HughJasol - 11/5/2011, 4:43 PM
Don't care what anybody says. This movie is going to be EPIC!

LogicError - 11/5/2011, 5:08 PM
OMG!! Intruder is smarter than the majority of critics and the guild of Actors and directors. I am sure you are way more qualified than those people to determine how awful Nolan is. Come on Douche Bag! Don't be a [foo foo] just because he didn't make movies that don't please your ridiculous ego. While i might agree that he does not know how to stage action scenes, Every one agrees that Nolan is one of the best director of all time. While Scorsese, Spielberg, James Cameron and others have at some point made bad movies, Nolan has yet to make one. If you think he sucks, maybe u are not intelligent enough to distinguish a good movie from a bad one.
CBMfan001 - 11/5/2011, 5:17 PM
look intruder i know so many ppl have said it to you before and so many will continue to say it later too,and i also know you dont get tired by hearing it also coz you seem to immune to it coz maybe you know its true, but you really are a BIG IDIOT.

and if you think a director as Nolan who made memento, prestige, inception is a bad director and think Michael bay is more original then you really have lost it. better get your head examined.
