Is Ben Affleck Already Working Out For The Role Of BATMAN?

If you remember Ben Affleck in The Town, you might wonder why he needs to work out at all, but a new report states that the actor is preparing to play the Caped Crusader by undergoing an intense two hour a day training regime. Read on for details!

There have been MANY complaints from fans about the fact that Ben Affleck has been cast as the new Batman in Zack Snyder's upcoming movie, with one of the main ones being that the 41 year old actor is buff enough to play the Caped Crusader. Well, a new report indicates that the Argo star is already hard at work getting ready to take on Superman in 2015! "A source tells Us Weekly that the actor, director and father of three has been working hard to get buff -- training two hours a day to transform his physique." So, that should at least put some minds at ease! As you can see from the photo above, Affleck has had no trouble getting into shape in the recent past and Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt is the perfect example of an actor who has completely transformed their physical appearance for a superhero role. What do you guys think? Will Affleck's Batman be more than enough of a match for Henry Cavill's Superman?

You go Affleck! Prove everyone wrong. You were the bomb in phantoms yo!
arsonjack - 8/24/2013, 3:41 AM
He already looks like Bruce Wayne, with exercise he will soon become the Batman.
charlie2094 - 8/24/2013, 3:43 AM
He'll be fine! Look at the transformation Bale went under for Begins! From super skinny for his previous role, to completely bulked up. Same with Chris Pratt, wasn't exactly big, now huge for Star-Lord. Affleck is already big-ish, and being 6ft 4 and that he's working out too, he's going to be huge in the costume.

Think getting buff is a requirement for a role like Batman, not entirely optional. Whoever was cast would have to bulk out
Arrow96 - 8/24/2013, 3:43 AM
I hope he kills it, so that fans can eat their own words. I love when that happens.
datNAMEtho - 8/24/2013, 3:44 AM
He's a pretty big guy, he has to work out a lot to get such a divine body but he can do it :P
HavocPrime - 8/24/2013, 3:44 AM
I want to see a pic, or footage of him as the Bat before making a permanent decision about this casting, as he may surprise us like Heath did with the Joker.

Affleck is going to kill it. He was already in intimidating shape in The Town. I can't even imagine how scary buff he's going to look as the Bat.
mumbz - 8/24/2013, 3:53 AM
as far as im concerned, Zack has a homo erotic phillia when i comes to his movies. big nuscled burly men are all the joy for snyder, affleck will be made to look a match for cavil that i have no doubt in and i think that will be batflecks saving grace in mos2.
oh and 1st!
Ninjapimp - 8/24/2013, 3:56 AM
hes gonna be boss as the bats
Nubase - 8/24/2013, 3:59 AM
Ben will work out big time for the role, as we already know this batman will be a seasoned crime fighter of 7 years with the scars to show it so he needs to bulked.

Cavill said recently that he is going back into the gym again to get the MOS body again.
wambam91 - 8/24/2013, 4:02 AM
Him not being buff enough is the stupidest reason to doubt him.

Christian Bale was bloody 55kg when he was cast as Batman, he was living off an apple and a can of tuna a day while shooting The Machinist.

God some people are idiots.
Banner - 8/24/2013, 4:09 AM
Look at Christian Bale Batman, that guy's workout is push ups.

Ben Affleck's casting is perfect and that means that WB and Zack Snyder will give us a different version of Batman. Man of steel style!
ahhmynuts - 8/24/2013, 4:19 AM
just need to look at the pic in the article to know he'll be able to do it. muscle memory is a gift from the gods.
JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 4:19 AM
Being "buff" was something I knew he didn't have to be ahead of time. With me, the primary doubt is about his face. He doesn't look like Bruce Wayne should look. But, that's of course just my opinion. If I wanted, I could probably prove the point with photos, but the people I'd be trying to convince could never be convinced with facts. But, I was hoping they'd reconsider before Ben Affleck has to start going through the torture of getting in shape for this. But they're going forward with it. I'm too old for waiting for the perfect Batman. I need to just quit looking at all this news. It's getting depressing.
JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 4:20 AM
Different.... All there's ever been is different...
Highflyer - 8/24/2013, 4:22 AM
Come on Affleck! Show the haters! I'll support this guy 100%
Moohika - 8/24/2013, 4:23 AM
Are you kidding? You are either talking out of your ass or you have not read any Batman comics? He has the height, the jaw, the chin, the scruff. He looks like it to me.
Dick - 8/24/2013, 4:24 AM
Great workout, Protein shake and hundreds of butchered chicken will do, ask Hugh Jackman.

And yes...I want Ben Affleck as Batman!
CherryBomb - 8/24/2013, 4:25 AM

@JediPhilosopher That's because there is no such thing as the "perfect" Batman. Like there isn't the "perfect" Wonder Woman. It's just an ideology and sometimes you have to accept that there's more positives than negatives and find acceptance.

Bruce is drawn to be the epiotme of masculinity. He has the jaw of Colton Haynes, the hair of Tyler Hoechlin, the body of Joe Manganiello ... it's all seperate parts but you won't find ONE actor that looks exactly like Batman. Artist's have involvement in that too.

CherryBomb - 8/24/2013, 4:27 AM

"if you remember Ben Affleck in The Town ...?"

How could I forget!?

JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 4:28 AM
Perfect is an inaccurate word. "CLose enough" then. As close as Henry Caville is to being Superman. Pretty close. If you know a one-word for that, I'll use that.
Guerillas - 8/24/2013, 4:28 AM
@Moohika really nice art dude!
gillri - 8/24/2013, 4:28 AM

Affleck is 6'2 not 6'4!
TheDpool - 8/24/2013, 4:30 AM
You know I didn't like it at first but I'm already warming to the idea, You do it Affleck!
SoundWave - 8/24/2013, 4:32 AM
He will be awesome Batman! And very great Bruce Wayne.
JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 4:35 AM
Maybe he'll put on some weight.. in the face.. I don't even know how that works. I want to believe you NON-HATERS are right. Stop clling me a hater please.

gambgel - 8/24/2013, 4:38 AM
He should get bigger than Henry, if possible.

The more, the better!
JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 4:40 AM
Facial masculinity?

OMG, people complaining about Affleck not LOOKING like Batman? [frick] that, I don't give a shit who plays him as long as they get him right...I could even have M.Night Shyamalan PLAY Batman if done right...I don't give a shit.
Calm your tits everyone.
I don't expect anything from this movie because IMO this isn't even presented as a sequel...only problem is: it is a [frick]ing sequel.
Whatever the case, I'm pretty sure it will be an enjoyable movie just like MOS. And in terms of B.O. we all know what movie is making the most money in 2015.
