Just To Clarify: Justin Bieber OFFICIALLY Not Playing Robin In BATMAN/SUPERMAN

I think (or at least I hope!) most of you figured that the pic posted by the young popstrel on his Instagram account was a fake, but just in case anyone was taken in, we now have official confirmation of that for you. Click on for more.

The internet is a weird and wonderful place, as full of lies and deceit as it is awesome stuff like porn and pictures of cats. Because of this some people will always be taken in by all manner of things that find their way online, so when Justin Bieber posted a pic of himself holding what appeared to be the script for Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel sequel along with the suggestion that he'd be playing Robin in the movie, the web predictably exploded. Now obviously anyone who took the time to think about this would probably come to the conclusion that it was a hoax (a script most likely doesn't even exist yet for one) but, well..some don't take that time! So just to clarify for those still worried: According to The Wrap a person with knowledge of the real script assured them that the photo is not authentic — and is most likely part of an upcoming Funny or Die sketch. There you go, rest easy. Ben Affleck IS still playing Batman though.

jerryblake - 9/15/2013, 1:18 PM
too late ... My 10 years of sobriety are already gone :(
Bad prank my friends ... Bad prank.
RorMachine - 9/15/2013, 1:19 PM
Apparently so. I spoke to a lot of people last night (in person and on Twitter) that believed it was legit.
NovaCorpsFan - 9/15/2013, 1:23 PM
Yeah but Ror, you live in Ireland, like myself.

And all the GAA heads probably thought it was legit.
Greengo - 9/15/2013, 1:25 PM
No we need a few.
RorMachine - 9/15/2013, 1:27 PM
ZanPhilom haha, indeed they did! But even a few well versed fanboys were taken in too. If something is online it'll always be beliebed (sorry:) by some folks, simple as that.
HellsHammer - 9/15/2013, 1:27 PM
Didn't even break a sweat over this
Bearjew - 9/15/2013, 1:28 PM
Let me be Robin, I would kill for that role. Not a joke.
Greengo - 9/15/2013, 1:29 PM

Mother [frick]in Justin Bieber. Smh.

brickwall - 9/15/2013, 1:30 PM
NovaCorpsFan - 9/15/2013, 1:31 PM
Lol, Ror. I wonder what all our yank buddies here are thinking with me using the term GAA head?

And yes, my friends got worried too. Despite me showing them that the logo on the "script" was the fanmade one.

Jaspion - 9/15/2013, 1:41 PM
I think this goes to show how much people trust Warner..
Abary - 9/15/2013, 1:58 PM
Yeah I guess a few Beliebers beliebed in this rumor. I'm just glad this didn't happen for real. But who says it won't happen eventually? Now I'm scared...

RockBottom - 9/15/2013, 1:58 PM
Good! He just stick to being a worthless egomaniac pop singer. What makes people think could be a superhero? Let alone an "actual" actor?
TheWolverine08 - 9/15/2013, 1:59 PM
This film is becoming so controversial.
Dragonpiece - 9/15/2013, 1:59 PM
Just remember, if you actually got fooled by this, that you got pranked by Justin Bieber. You will have to live with that.
Johnem95 - 9/15/2013, 2:00 PM
To anyone that fell for this, I feel very sorry for you.
REPOMAN - 9/15/2013, 2:00 PM

That huge clanger on the front page makes it fairly obvious as a fake.

The script says it's based on one chapter ('The Dark Knight Falls') of Miller's The Dark Knight Returns which of course for many reasons is utterly illogical.

MsDarkPhoenix - 9/15/2013, 2:00 PM
@BrickWall haha :D
NovaCorpsFan - 9/15/2013, 2:03 PM
Jack! That thread could've been hilarious. Instead it was just pictures of a hot girl.

Hence, I am ambivolent towards it!
sameoldthing - 9/15/2013, 2:13 PM
JUST TO CLARIFY: This was NEVER gonna happen.
Indy - 9/15/2013, 2:13 PM
lets not waste anymore time by talking about this fruit and give him attention. The Joke on him for calling himself Robin he might as well tell us he has rainbows coming out of his ass.
antman8o8 - 9/15/2013, 2:14 PM
I don't know, he would make a good female Robin :P

Luigi - 9/15/2013, 2:15 PM
No shit.
camlabar - 9/15/2013, 2:24 PM
This was the article the world needed right now.
Ocelot - 9/15/2013, 2:26 PM
No one with a bit of common sense believed this rubbish, it was blantantly obvious. It was for a funny or die skit ffs. He even said it when he posted the pic, but of course people on the internet just dont know how to read anymore.
GoILL - 9/15/2013, 2:41 PM
It wasn't all Emmy in the first story, there were a few Deadpool gifs as well as these Gusto pics

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 9/15/2013, 2:46 PM
Anyone who thought this was true are pretty stupid. No offense.
jerryblake - 9/15/2013, 2:50 PM
i guess since Ben Affleck became Batman anything is possible. You can't rule out Bieber as Robin ;)
VaCubFan - 9/15/2013, 2:51 PM
Waiting on El Maybe still trying to confirm it, huh?
KnobGoblin - 9/15/2013, 2:58 PM
Ahh, the internet. Always so gullible.
Ocelot - 9/15/2013, 3:15 PM

I can tell you for a fact that he wont have anything to do with the movie.

He(a known prankster) posts a tweet that's he off to do "something funny or die" a comedy sketch site, then next tweets a pic of him holding a script for Batman vs Superman, if that's not blatantly obvious then I dont know what is.

I didn't even have to analyse the picture and see the blatant [frick] up "Based on The Dark Knight Falls" to even determine this. Or even that the film isn't even officially called "Batman vs Superman".

Furthemore WB wouldn't allow him to post the script like that and there would have been a press release to announce the casting.

the Zod hybrid pleases me
