The forthcoming DVD/BLURAY?

It wont be on home release till at least December or January...
CPBuff22 - 4/2/2012, 1:07 PM
So WB can give us info on the blu-ray special features but can't release a definitive run time? WEAK!
DCnerd46 - 4/2/2012, 1:13 PM
The '89 Batmobile will always be my favorite by far.
NeoBaggins - 4/2/2012, 1:16 PM
You're THAT serious about the run time? lol

Adam West Batmobile and Tumbler= AWESOME
Supes17 - 4/2/2012, 1:20 PM
Nolan's blurays usually come out in December.
Both Inception and The Dark Knight were released in early December and they both came out in late July
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 4/2/2012, 1:21 PM
I hope they re release the Dark Knight Blu Ray with some actual extra's similar to Batman Begins. I was very disappointed with the bonus content on The Dark Knight DVD. Perhaps they will re release it before the Dark Knight Rises comes out in theaters, like they did four years ago when they released Batman Begins right before The Dark Knight was released.
GreyChaos13Zero - 4/2/2012, 1:22 PM
I like the Batmobile from '66, classic?)
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 4/2/2012, 1:23 PM
I'm sorry but The Danny Elfman Batman theme sounds so cheesy now. I think it works better for Cartoons like BATS than it does in live action.
Wildaniel - 4/2/2012, 1:24 PM
Tumbler and the one from Batman and Robin are my favorites!
Fogs - 4/2/2012, 1:25 PM

Yeah, I'm with @DCnerd46, '89 batmobile FTW!
GingerBird - 4/2/2012, 1:33 PM
The unique trilogy bluray box set in December.
thewonderer - 4/2/2012, 1:36 PM
89 Batmobile is stupid. lol the richest man in the world Bruce Wayne definitely isn't Batman when driving in a nice car.

The tumbler is the opposite of what someone like Bruce Wayne would ride.

Another thing 89 screwed up on. Burton is no better than Bay, Batman killing, Joker killing Waynes Parents, Gordon useless, and Fox not even in it
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 4/2/2012, 1:42 PM
No I just find Denny Elfman's scores to be cheesy. I never really liked him as a composer, he has had some decent songs, but I just don't dig him. It has nothing to do with Zimmer being dark and gritty, which I don't think he is. It's just a musical preference. Chill out Steve Rogers Son we are all allowed to have opinions. No need to get overly sensitive.
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 4/2/2012, 1:46 PM
I also think John Williams Superman main theme sounds really dated and cheesy as well, and I think he is one of the best to ever score movies. His Star Wars Themes hold up much, much better.
Fogs - 4/2/2012, 1:49 PM
LOL people really rather have the new "2-note" score than Elfman's?

Not that the new one is bad at all - actually is very good, but still: way too simple and not remarkable IMO - but Elfman's just one of the best scores ever!
LOL - 4/2/2012, 1:57 PM
@thewonderer - you really don't know much do you? Tim Burton patterned his Batman movie on the ORIGINAL Bat-Man comic book by Bob Kane wherein he pretty much also used guns AND killed the bad guys. It wasn't until after a few issues did he revamp Batman to act like he does today. In a sense, it IS still true to the ORIGINAL way Batman was portrayed in the earliest years. Having joker kill Wayne's parents was his own twist. READ THE COMICS! Some of his Batmobiles in the books were pretty much modified sports cars and a few customs down the years. Before you shoot your fool mouth off, know what the hell you're talking about.
theangrytroll - 4/2/2012, 1:58 PM
Yeah, the '89 car is by FAR the best of the bunch, followed by the 60's version. The other three are just crap.
CaptainPresley - 4/2/2012, 2:08 PM
The 1966 Classic will always be the Batmobile to me!
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 4/2/2012, 2:09 PM

Actually Tim Burton didn't base his Batman off any comics. He has been on record multiple times saying he never read any comics and wanted to do his own spin on the character. Having The Joker kill Bruce's parents was just a lazy way to tie the two characters together.
RealGothamite - 4/2/2012, 2:18 PM
The Tumbler FTW... end of discussion
6of13 - 4/2/2012, 2:20 PM
I think it should include the Lamborghini Murcielago and Lamborghini Avantador.
GUNSMITH - 4/2/2012, 2:22 PM
flash17 - 4/2/2012, 2:29 PM
Tumbler and 89. 89 was built ON A JET ENGINE and actually looks like it. Bats 3 & 4 Batmobiles were the worst. God those movies were terrible.
Lert - 4/2/2012, 2:33 PM
i need to buy the models for each of these cars
nowtheresaBATman - 4/2/2012, 2:54 PM
THE TUMBLER would flatten the rest like a pile of pancakes FFS.

"Does it come in black" - one of the best moments from Batman Begins & IMO one of the best moments ever in any Batman movie.

bonus: The Tumbler has THE BATPOD. Which again IMO The Batpod is cooler than any of those other Batmobiles.
Ceejay - 4/2/2012, 3:08 PM
The Tumbler is the only batmobile worth taking seriously, the others look like cheesy candidates for Hanna Barberra's Wacky Races cartoon!
fattieacid - 4/2/2012, 3:40 PM
I would shit my pants if i saw all those batmobiles coming towards me lol
HanBurgundy - 4/2/2012, 4:41 PM
@Catwoman1 - No it won't, the turnaround time between theaters and DVD/Blu-Ray sales is exactly 4 months, which means that it will be out for sale in November......just in time for the holidays.
Supes17 - 4/2/2012, 4:56 PM
Woah no disrespecting Elfman.
His Batman score is one of the best in CBMs
I think he made the BEST Batman theme so far,
but Hanz Zimmer made the best soundtrack overall with Batman begins
TheOther - 4/2/2012, 6:25 PM
Keaton's and Bale's car i like it.
Kilmer's? who would like to ride a giant penis?
GodzillaKart - 4/2/2012, 8:25 PM
Don't want to bore the kids by going on about it...but when I was a kid, Batman was still kinda cool. I know it seems silly, but it's true!
thalidomide - 4/2/2012, 9:06 PM
I love the background music.

That is all.
Thegoddamnbatman52 - 4/2/2012, 9:12 PM
Theyre really advertising the blu ray already?
thewonderer - 4/2/2012, 10:21 PM
Burton is a hack. He admitted to not reading a single comic for his film.

It wasn't Batman, it was Burton.

No character is created perfectly at first. The finalized Batman doesn't kill
Minghagz - 4/3/2012, 12:19 AM
Yes, Batman did kill earlier in the comics but this statement is completely asinine:

"Tim Burton patterned his Batman movie on the ORIGINAL Bat-Man comic book by Bob Kane" -LOL

Burton did not follow the source material.
Minghagz - 4/3/2012, 12:30 AM
I'm a sucker for classics so my personal favorite is the Batmobile from the 60's show. It's a shame they didn't get to use the Cadillac for the Batmobile and had to resort to using a Lincoln. Sorry Ford fans... but I'm a GM guy at heart.

My 2nd choice would be the Tumbler and that's only because it reminds me of one of my favorite graphic novels of all time, The Dark Knight Returns.
NeoBaggins - 4/3/2012, 2:52 AM
The Elfman score was great for the time. It was awesome hearing on the Animated series. But now I'm a grown ass man and Zimmer's score is EPIC with class.

Tumbler: Safe, weaponized, intimidating, looks beast
The Batmobile: Not safe, limited weaponry, looks cool
ShoeBurtonbiles: Safe, shields, road weaponry, looks ugly

Ha1frican - 4/3/2012, 8:24 AM
Notice how similar the soundtrack to every Burton movie is...
thewolfx - 4/3/2012, 9:28 AM
the tumbler

worst looking batmobile ever
