Great find dude, I was waiting for someone to post this. I like how he talked about a lot of comic book movies trying too hard to create the look on the page, and sacrifice a well thought out story because of it. The Avengers and to a lesser extend Iron Man, Spider-man 2 and Sin City did both well. The stories weren't deeply thought provoking but they are light years more thought provoking than Green Lantern, Jonah Hex, Electra, Wolverine etc.

Are there not any reviews yet??????????????????????????????????????????????????
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 7/10/2012, 9:35 AM
Why are people so hung up about reviews. There is embargo in place in case any jackass film critic tries to spoil the end of the movie. It will be great and score high on Rotten Tomatoes. People just need to be patient.

@RFBD, yeah man. Movie studios are a necessary evil and sometimes they are bombarded with tons of ideas from zillions of people - they have to decide based on the sales pitch of a person wether to give them a ton of money to make a movie. Smaller studios like Marvel probably have less sales pitches thrown at them so they can filter easier - but now it will probably be a completely different story (with the success of the Avengers and them being bought by Disney). Quality control is easier at smaller studios. Whereas WB has to filter through so much that they will end up giving the green light to something like Green Lantern or Jonah Hex or Catwoman. They were smart enough to understand what they had in Nolan. Hopefully, going forward, they can let DC develop its own film-making division. I thought that's what DC Entertainment was about, but nothing seems to be happening. Dunno what the business side of things are on that.

RFBD: I don't know if one question from me about the status of the reviews would qualify as being "HUNG UP" on reviews.

I've heard plenty of reviews given without spoilers so that is a lame excuse not to have one.

I'm sure the movie will be great, someone pointed out there hasn't been any and I thought that was kind of weird.

Let me rephrase for those who are anti-review:
Does anyone know when the embargo will be lifted?
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 7/10/2012, 9:42 AM
I don't but the majority of Avengers reviews didn't trickle in until April 26. There were a handful (literally five) that came out around the 19th. Since Nolan is so secretive about the ending I would expect them to start coming out sometime early next week.
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 7/10/2012, 9:44 AM

When I say everyone, I really mean the 6 or 7 die hard haters who are grasping at their last straws to try and bring this film down. Who are now resorting to conspiracy theories about Nolan paying off whole auditoriums of people across the country to give it a positive word of mouth. People who think just because a movie doesn't have reviews a month ahead of time means it's going to be bad. It's actually quite funny the way some of these people think.

lmao : )

July 16th was the date - but that's probably a bit flexible because of the overwhelmingly positive response from the screenings.

I don't put a lot of stock in reviews. TASM got some bad ones and I really liked that movie.

I expect them to be positive and positive reviews kind of increase my anticipation.

I've already got my tickets for 7/20
