UPDATE: The Dark Knight Rises Teaser To Appear With Harry Potter 7: Part 2?

UPDATE: The Dark Knight Rises Teaser To Appear With Harry Potter 7: Part 2?

With mountains of salt, recent posts suggest the first teaser for The Dark Knight Rises could appear in front of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Check it out!

Though sourced yet again from the double-dealing Internet Movie Database, a recent post suggest "something" regarding Christopher Nolan's much-awaited film The Dark Knight Rises, plausible due to Warner Bros. previous marketing methods.

I am a manager of a cinema. Today we got a list of upcoming trailers delivered to us and the 'Dark Knight Rises' teaser is listed to be with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on July 15th.

UPDATE: Another source via SHH is further claiming the above reports.
"Updated listings at Regal have TDKR teaser attached to Harry Potter. I dont have a link my buddy that works there texted me about it. Having worked at a Regal for 6 years there listings are usually pretty accurate not 100% but pretty close. Its not much but it does help confirm what people have been guessing on here for awhile"

What makes this plausible: Not to mention it's near TDKR's release date, but a year prior, which seems to be a marketing method itself. Well, back in May 2007, Ain't It Cool News received word that the official teaser for The Dark Knight (2008) was set to appear with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. With this leaked, Warner apparently decided to instead use The Simpson Movie to have the teaser, which leaked online immediately.

Of course, what may make this plausible could also make it inaccurate; a lucky guess. Therefore, take this with a grain of salt.

The Dark Knight Rises' story details are being kept underwraps. Although, the films stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cotillard, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell, Michael Caine and possibly Alon Aboutboul, the film releases 20 July, 2012!

That'd be sweet if it was true. It'd probably just be something very similar to the TDK teaser, though.
JoshWilding - 5/22/2011, 6:47 AM
Yeah, I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised about this, especially as they put the Green Lantern trailer with Deathly Hallows Part I.
Dynamo - 5/22/2011, 6:48 AM
I bet it'll have little to no footage. And it'll probably have the same chanting as on the site.
Moron - 5/22/2011, 6:53 AM
I remember a few months ago they said that The Amazing Spider-Man teaser would appear in front of the same film.
Though this seems more believable since there both WB.
PaulRom - 5/22/2011, 6:54 AM
If it IS identical in structure to the TDK teaser, it should end with Bane shouting "IMMA COMING TO BREAK YOU!!!!" as the Bat logo explodes.
Dynamo - 5/22/2011, 6:58 AM
Yeah, I don't think it will be the same. If it is then that sounds a little cheesy. I'd rather him say softly "I will break him...".

Xandera - 5/22/2011, 6:58 AM
Sounds Very Plausible...

Now I am wishing I liked Harry Potter so I could see it... oh well... Just have to wait for it to hit the net...
marvel72 - 5/22/2011, 6:59 AM
the dark knight teaser was shit, just hearing talking is not what i want to be seeing.

i'll wait for the trailer to be put online,i won't be seeing harry potter 7 part 2 at the cinema.
DCMarvelFreshman - 5/22/2011, 6:59 AM
I'm pretty sure it'll be the exact same thing they show at SDCC '11, which takes place the week after Potter's release.
Bandrews1 - 5/22/2011, 7:01 AM
I hope this is true.
GillytheKid33 - 5/22/2011, 7:01 AM
DAMN IT! Now I gotta go see that shit.
GillytheKid33 - 5/22/2011, 7:05 AM
I already got that tattooed on my Sack, soooo.....

theHuch - 5/22/2011, 7:06 AM
Instead of the Bat Symbol exploding- they should have it break in half...You don't need Bane to say anything.
Dynamo - 5/22/2011, 7:07 AM
The Dark Knight teaser did it's job. But the best teaser I had ever seen in my life was Batman Begins. I didn't even know what the movie was until the end of it.
LeeShard - 5/22/2011, 7:17 AM
That ain't gonna make me watch Harry Potter 8 lol
LeeShard - 5/22/2011, 7:18 AM
OMG is that BANE or fan-made????????
GrimeKid - 5/22/2011, 7:18 AM
That would nicely rhyme with the Dark Knight marketing.

PS. Am I looking too much into this or does this thing on the Bane picture look like a cat's eye?

If it was left by accident, why wasn't it corrected? It seems pretty easy to do.
GillytheKid33 - 5/22/2011, 7:23 AM
catman - 5/22/2011, 7:27 AM
Thats a cheap way to get people to watch the harry potter movie in numbers..lol
CBMfan001 - 5/22/2011, 7:28 AM
@ GrimeKid - I was wondering the same thing, but I don't think it's a cats eye but there is something in it.

who knows with Nolan,he likes to play mind games with us so we should just play along with him:)

great news if it's true, most probably we'll see something like TDK teaser but still it will be cool :) that TDK joker dialogue was creepy and awesome :) let's see if Nolan can put up something like that again :)
marvel72 - 5/22/2011, 7:28 AM
@ dynamo

no sorry man,i'll have to disagree the dark knight teaser was shite.

i want to be teased at what i'm gonna see not what i'm gonna hear.

batman begins teaser was good, but personally i think this is the best teaser ever.

mainstream05 - 5/22/2011, 7:33 AM

You're looking waaaay too into it. It's not like we don't know that Catwoman is in it already.
Ghostt - 5/22/2011, 7:34 AM
it does look like a cat's eye, but I doubt it is, Grimekid. we are just like the ppl that Jesus in pancakes, you know...
OptimusPrime114 - 5/22/2011, 7:39 AM
You know, Bruce Wayne and Harry Potter have a lot in common:

-Both orphans
-Have sidekicks who secretly like each other.
-Psycho villains
-Gary Oldman portrayed a supporting role in both franchises.
GrimeKid - 5/22/2011, 7:41 AM
Yeah maybe i'm searching too hard for clues.

If you turn your head clockwise 90 degrees, it looks like pacman heading for a cherry ;)
marvel72 - 5/22/2011, 7:59 AM
@ grimekid

could it just be a form of light source i.e a torch.

your saying it could be cats eyes.

so why has this cat got only one eye.
jazzman - 5/22/2011, 8:02 AM

your reading to much into it. its just a light thats all not Catwoman lol.

it make sense cause both are WB product.

Spider-Man teaser makes the film look hardcore but it was not like that in the movie at all. TDK tease was good not all teaser need to be the same.

Teaser does not have to show u everything all the time it ment to tease you.
RunDTC - 5/22/2011, 8:02 AM
the thing about the Dark Knight teaser was that it had Joker's laugh. THAT is why people liked it so much.

for this possible upcoming teaser, it would be cool if it was just a black screen the whole time, with just a few thing said by Wayne, Alfred and Gordon, then a short pause. we then here Bane say "I'll will break you", followed by a large crack. end of trailer.

also, THIS is how you tease a movie:
whoa123 - 5/22/2011, 8:05 AM
@LEE- yes thats Bane!
Ryguy88 - 5/22/2011, 8:07 AM
It'll probably be kind of like the one in '07 where you heard a voice over from Michael Caine.

Grimekid, why did you draw a penis in front of Bane?

Marvel72, at least the Dark Knight teaser released a bit of plot info, what did the Spiderman one do? reveal that Spiderman was going to be in it?
jazzman - 5/22/2011, 8:10 AM

that sounds sick
dmm5 - 5/22/2011, 8:13 AM
@marvel72- Aww damn, and I watched Spider-Man 3 last night.... And when I say "watched," I mean putting my head down nodding most of the time lol XD
MoumentheBatman - 5/22/2011, 8:20 AM
I'll wait for it to leak on line. Nothing on earth will ever force me to go to a theater to watch Harry Potter!
GillytheKid33 - 5/22/2011, 8:21 AM
Your all wrong. I bet itll be a big pan out of the dark room with just the background noise from the websites with an occasional flash of the Bat symbol while panning in on Banes back and the final shot will be Bane turning his head like it is in the picture. How much you wanna bet that itll be along those lines.
jazzman - 5/22/2011, 8:22 AM

u still know what im saying.

your wrong Bane and Batman will be break dancing in the tease lol.
valeriesghost - 5/22/2011, 8:23 AM
@Leeshard, Formally Leee777?
batman001 - 5/22/2011, 8:30 AM
well given that both batman and harry potter are very big franchieses for warner bros i can see this rumour being true
marvel72 - 5/22/2011, 8:34 AM
@ jazzman

it gave you look of what spidey will look like & that the movie would look good with todays cgi effects.

you've got to remember the only other live action spidey was of the late 70s & its just showing how far they've come since then.

@ ryguy88

yeah if you want to hear shit & not have a taste of what the footage looks like, then knock yourself out.

@ dmm5

that was a trailer for spider-man not spider-man 3,as for spider-man 3 i can only watch the action scenes the rest of the movie is shit.
Dynamo - 5/22/2011, 8:48 AM

Meh, the Spider-Man teaser's okay. It didn't get me as excited as the Batman Begins one did.
Osiris - 5/22/2011, 8:49 AM
REALLY! we are getting a batman tease already and yet still no Amazing Spider-man..... WTF Webb crap or get off the pot man lets go!
