Ledger's Joker followed by Fassbender's Magneto.
T600 - 5/29/2013, 8:11 AM

Thats wat I also thought...
However I voted for Magneto 'cause I just luv the character and Fassbender's portrayal of the character
DCMultiverse - 5/29/2013, 8:22 AM
Artistic wise - Ledger's Joker

Comic wise - Loki
sintzu - 5/29/2013, 8:22 AM
the clown princ of crime
manofmidgard - 5/29/2013, 8:33 AM
jack nicholson's joker maybe. ledger's joker was god-awful. even ledger himself hated it. people think they are being loyal to dc or respectful to the dead by loving his joker, but its a far cry from the joker in the comics. while ledger's acting was fantastic - he was totally immersed in the character - the character he portrayed was nothing like the joker. a great bad guy, yes. the joker, no. just no.

i voted loki. not because of the marvel/dc competition thing - i think competing is childish and stupid - but because hiddleson was loki. he looked the part, he sounded the part, he nailed his raw emotions, his outrage, his inner turmoil, and his downright evilness. hiddleson is loki.
PLUSH - 5/29/2013, 8:55 AM
Loki of course
Brainiac13 - 5/29/2013, 9:14 AM
GuardianAngel - 5/29/2013, 9:15 AM
I love the Joker, but Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face deserves a lot more attention than what it's getting.
marting94 - 5/29/2013, 9:44 AM
How did Two-Face not win?!
Milling - 5/29/2013, 9:51 AM
meh didn't like nolans joker, but as a stand alone character he was okay. Mark Hamil Joker forever!
AsgardianHobo - 5/29/2013, 10:09 AM
Venom! Oh wait.....its time for my medicine.....
TheFox - 5/29/2013, 10:15 AM
ALL of these were awesome, but... yeah, it's the Joker, no contest.

NinjaBaby - 5/29/2013, 11:02 AM
Bane was awful. Joker was amazing and I agree with @Ryguy88 Magneto shouldve been 2nd
RolandD - 5/29/2013, 11:54 AM
Joker has been done amazing twice. Nicholson doesn't get much love IMHO because of Ledger's portrayal, but he nailed the Joker as he has been written, certainly as he had been written up 'til then. Ledger's performance was awesome and he made a great characater, but not quite the Joker from the comics. Both were awesome in their own right.
Quite telling that Luthor got no votes. I think either Hackman or Spacey could have made fantastic Luthor's if the part had been written as a fantastic, evil character. Maybe they will get Luthor right this go around, probably in the sequel to MOS.

Jer3miah - 5/29/2013, 2:21 PM
Why is Loki on here? Lol.

Joker for the win, but I feel Two-Face came close for me. He was awesome.
ranger75 - 5/29/2013, 3:36 PM
"do i look like a man with a plan" Joker
Steelgoat - 5/29/2013, 5:05 PM
I was initially going to choose Joker, but I went for Two-Face in the end.

Joker at the beginning of the film was the same Joker at the end, whereas the journey and transition from Harvey Dent to Two-Face was fantastic.
relentless1 - 5/29/2013, 10:53 PM
the joker was perfect, right from the pages of batman #1 and the killing joke
Superpotts - 5/29/2013, 11:35 PM
Joker, Loki and Doc Oc
DrDoom - 5/30/2013, 6:40 AM
Loki ftw
JackBauer - 5/30/2013, 8:21 AM
No contest - Loki. Ledger's Joker is severely overrated.
Geektality - 5/30/2013, 9:18 AM
68%!! That's over half. Over half of the voters think Joker's the best portrayed villain.
That's more than a third!!
This shows you that the majority of people who comment are biased and uneducated. If you voted for Loki, more power to you.
But it's the Joker we're talking about. He's the best portrayed villain possibly in the history of film.
Jack Nicholson, awesome joker.
Mark Hamill, awesome joker.
John DiMagio, awesome joker.
Heath Ledger, awesome joker.
Name one actor besides Tom Hiddleston who played Loki with any shred of dignity or respect. Just one.
BlindJustice - 5/30/2013, 1:42 PM
@Geektality - Are you happy that the Joker is winning this poll or upset? You seem to be all over the place with your comment haha.

Most people here are probably voting for The Joker because of Ledger, but DC has done an awesome job whenever casting or animated. It's a shame they can't do the same with some of their other characters.

Has anyone else ever played a live-action Loki? Nope. It would be tough for anyone to do a better job than Hiddleston, but just wait until 15 or so yrs from now when they decide to reboot Thor. I bet the next generation will be raving over that Loki much like my generation raved over Nicholson's Joker in 1990.
GuardianDevil - 6/5/2013, 3:09 AM
Green Goblin FTW!!

Lol, not really. I voted for him because I knew most everyone would pick Loki or Joker, and Goblin is like my favorite.
quas666 - 6/20/2013, 1:12 AM
I went with Joker but I love how good Magneto has been portrayed onscreen by Ian McKellen. Fassbender is good but please people get off the dudes sack! He has nothing on Gandalf!!

hootch88 - 8/6/2013, 11:44 PM
top dollar
JediSuperGuy83 - 8/24/2013, 2:47 PM
General Zod in Man Of Steel rocked
MightyZeus - 9/2/2013, 12:07 PM
The Joker followed by Magneto.
M3T4LL0 - 9/13/2013, 6:33 AM
I would have voted for The Joker but we still have yet to see a true adaptation of him from the comics to the screen, Ledger and Nicholson were both amazing but there was always something missing. I voted Loki b.c. he is pretty much the same in both mediums. And where is Zod??
StatenMan18 - 9/22/2013, 12:21 PM
I voted magneto. While I love Mckellensm fassbenders was amazing, the joker was awesome too but I love magnetos motivation that makes him the villain he is
jdalsim - 10/1/2013, 4:53 AM
Voted for Doc Oc. I found Molina's Dr. Octopus o be spot on and you could see the inner turmoil working it's way through his mind. Some tough choices here, that is mine though. Being a huge venom fan, I wish that weren't even a choice. Topher grace playing a guy who is supposed to be 6'3" 230 lbs. is a joke... like Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher.
HBComics - 10/8/2013, 3:03 PM
You have to vote Joker. I'm just saying it's a wide margin between Heath Ledger and any other actor in portraying a comic book character period. And if you factor in Jack Nicholson's performance as well, it's hands down. I know you're not supposed to let Jack's act be an influence on the vote but if you think about how great a job Nicholson did and then consider how Heath raised the bar higher than even imagined, Joker is the only possible choice. At the end of the day it is all subjective though. And there have been some other good performances. I just feel they pale in comparison though they shine on their own. Personally I don't know if I've seen a comic book movie I didn't like.
Devastation - 10/10/2013, 9:00 PM
Definitely The Joker and Loki.
Super12 - 10/11/2013, 8:40 PM
They should ask this w/out Joker as an option, he's clearly the runaway best
