Undecided right now. I need to see in motion. Regardless of how he physically looks, Jared is going to absolutely kill it as the Joker.
CrashOverride - 4/25/2015, 8:57 AM
I dig the look for the most part. At the very least the attitude seems right and trust Leto to take it seriously. He has a great track record. I'd rather to see him in the flick before I truly decide.
Magus - 4/25/2015, 8:57 AM
Wow. Some fans will just eat a steaming pile and say thank you.
Tevii - 4/25/2015, 8:58 AM
I like it. I think too many people wanted more Ledger Joker. Leto is a great actor, and he made the character his own already.

Some people dont think the body tattoos are going to be seen anyway. I disagree. Joker isnt the main villain in Suicide Squad. Hes just a guy in prison, bored so he works out and gets tats. I bet his only role is like Silence of the Lambs where they turn to him to get inside the head of a psycho.

then he'll escape for the Batman movie. and Suicide Squad, BvS and the new Batman will all be tied together with Jason Todds death (and reanimation?)
JingleBellm - 4/25/2015, 9:00 AM
I'm undecided because all these people are saying the tattoos won't be there in the real one. So I'm not sure. He looks bad shit crazy which is what we all want really. I just dont like the damaged tattoos
Darkrypton - 4/25/2015, 9:00 AM
I love the fact that this iteration is miles away from previous cinematic versions, also I sense that his image is probably a red herring...
CrimeAlley - 4/25/2015, 9:03 AM
The face is awsome. Leto will kill it, however...

The tattoos are over the top. "Damaged" and HAHA'S make it look like a bad cosplay. I can understand afew but this takes away from the joker. I don't believe the joker would decorate his body in a theme of his gimic. And the damaged thing is supposed to be apparant in his acting. Don't need it spelled out like he's wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Plus I don't see the joker taking the time to pick out a tattoo and have it done. "Let me take a break from my insanity to get a tattoo, I want a half sleeve so we'll fill it with hahas. Can't think of anything else"

"Put damaged, I've been through alot and want my victims to know"
CrimeAlley - 4/25/2015, 9:06 AM
His face alone differentiates it from ledger. He can still have a purple suit and no tattoos and be completely different than heathe. I'm sorry, it just seems targeted to very young people.
Shroombeast - 4/25/2015, 9:06 AM
I'm sure the performance will be good, but the look is shit.
darthgeekboy - 4/25/2015, 9:07 AM
anyone who thinks jack nicholson's joker is the best, is a moron.
interoBang - 4/25/2015, 9:08 AM
Kinda looks bad but I'm still excited.
Danbojohnj - 4/25/2015, 9:09 AM
Fine except for the Damaged tat and the grill.
konoyaro - 4/25/2015, 9:12 AM
Leto have the talent to pull the character IMHO i just don't feel this visual is in tune with the joker i know and love.
i think joker is above anything else a HUGE narcissist and a self idolizing character, persons like that don't damage themselves.
he would never tatoo "damaged"in his own face or "HA,HAS" through his body.

i see a fan of the joker doing it,he himself? never.

Amazing512 - 4/25/2015, 9:13 AM
Ghetto Joker doesn't appeal to me.
Amazing512 - 4/25/2015, 9:15 AM
It just seems so weird to me that The Joker would tattoo himself...why the hell would he care to have any tattoos?
Maybe it's a minor complaint but it kind of takes me out of the character
Lizardking310 - 4/25/2015, 9:20 AM
I would love the look of it weren't for the tattoos so at this moment I'm undecided!
Pasto - 4/25/2015, 9:22 AM
Trash
Marc65 - 4/25/2015, 9:23 AM
This is a perfect depiction of a younger Joker. Why wouldn't he have tatoos under his clothes? This is mostlikely a pre-Batman, Joker and he looks just like a pre-Batman Joker should.
Some of the people on this site need to grow up.
Magus - 4/25/2015, 9:24 AM
Need to grow up to appreciate this Joker? That is pretty funny.
Kablamo - 4/25/2015, 9:25 AM
I agree with CrimeAlley, feels like a bad cosplay costume. There are too many tats, they take away from the look for me. I'm confident that Leto will pull out a solid performance but I'm not feeling the look. Hopefully it'll look better in motion.
avengersleagueofjusticeforamerica - 4/25/2015, 9:26 AM
There are tatoos on his face..... you lose
Sigma9 - 4/25/2015, 9:30 AM
You guys forget that he is going to be on a purple suit when he is out of prison, the only thing i dont like is the teeth
IUsedToBeThecase - 4/25/2015, 9:32 AM
Who's to say the Joker isn't tatted under his suit.

Show me a picture of the joker without his shirt from the comics and I'll agree with most of you that this appearance is rubbish..
FOOM - 4/25/2015, 9:33 AM
Even more ridiculous than the nouveau biker Aquaman. DC continues down the dark, grotty and sh*tty line. How predictable.
CaptShipwreck - 4/25/2015, 9:37 AM
It needs another option , maybe a pure shit option ?
CaptShipwreck - 4/25/2015, 9:39 AM
That being said I still want to see what he does with the character ... But visually ... It's a turd
Trickwil - 4/25/2015, 9:41 AM
For this generation with some realism I think it's a perfect look.
Beaner8127 - 4/25/2015, 9:44 AM
Wow it's so different! That must mean it's good! Right? Right?
TheMfayz - 4/25/2015, 9:45 AM
the idea of the joker with prison tattoos underneath his suit is pretty bad ass. And if u don't like the tatoos, he's obviously not going to be running around naked, he'll have the suit
marcvader1 - 4/25/2015, 9:46 AM
Face tats suck otherwise ok.
joshwildling - 4/25/2015, 9:51 AM
at least the voice wont be as bad as Ultron's. his voice is [frick]ing retarded. way too cartoony and corny.
joshwildling - 4/25/2015, 9:52 AM
@Marc65 so this pre batman Joker you speak of, he lost all his teeth how? gingivitis?
cjqnsnyc - 4/25/2015, 9:53 AM
LOL!

These polls are too funny. NO ONE here has seen even a second of him ACTING as the Joker, yet these polls spring up that in reality, serve no purpose whatsoever.

How many examples has history given us? From Batman 89' to X men DOFP, these polls have been proven time and time again......to prove absolutely nothing.

From the hate shown to FF to even the original SW in 77. With SW,the crew who actually worked on that film though it was silly and wouldn't make a dime before the saw the finished product. Studio after studio passed on the concept of the film. If only they knew....

Until ANYONE actually sees the film, where you get the full weight of the performance, effects, and all the things that go with them, you can't really judge.

I think he looks insane in a very good way. With his acting chops, the cast, the director, and more, the potential is there for a very entertaining film.

We will have to WAIT and see.
SigmaCenturion - 4/25/2015, 9:56 AM
There is no dogshit option. And bunch of idiot mother [frick]ers on here who are voting like retards for some reason.
TheHighEvolutionary - 4/25/2015, 10:04 AM
He looks funny, but not HA HA funny.
AC1 - 4/25/2015, 10:07 AM
I love it mostly, not only does it look great, it conveys a very twisted, energetic, psychotic version of the character that combined with Leto's acting ability could be incredible. I also really love what they did with his teeth; it seems like that's the result of a Joker who isn't very hygiene conscious (which seems very in-keeping with the character) as well as at least one, or possibly a few, very violent altercations with Batman. Hopefully there's some kind of throwaway line in the film about Batman knocking his teeth out that riles him up, considering how much the character values his smile.

Not too keen on the tattoos as that doesn't really correlate with how I've seen the Joker, not just visually but also in terms of his character - I can't imagine the Joker sitting down in a tattoo parlour or having a friend ink him, or even doing it himself. Then again, I don't care too much about that because (hopefully) he'll be fully clothed most if not all of the time.

Don't mind the 'J' tattoo on his face, as it also slightly resembles a teardrop which fits the clown motif, and it's so small and subtle that it makes barely any difference to the character's look. Really, really dislike the 'Damaged' tattoo on his forehead though - that seems pointless, potentially distracting and very out of character.
SAMURAI36 - 4/25/2015, 10:10 AM
I am thoroughly entertained by the "no tat" people. Very few characters in comics have tats, & the Joker of all characters is insane enough to pull that look off. (Not that having tats is a symbol of insanity, mind you.)

I personally don't wanna see a joker in a purple suit. That era is over, as far as I'm concerned. I want something different, & DC is giving a DCCU for people like me, who want something different, while honoring what's come before. They did it with Heath Ledger, & now they are doing it with Leto.

Works for me.
johnnyblaze2k - 4/25/2015, 10:14 AM
The tats are not so important when he gets some clothes on. I'm sure he'll be flashy in his dress. But the thing I'm most curious about is the smile. From the picture it looks as if that is completely missing but its hard to tell.

So, until then I will remain undecided. #JokersThugLifeBaby #IsitJokerOrLilWayne
Spidey91 - 4/25/2015, 10:19 AM
^^ then what's the point of giving him tattoos? I don't get this design choice.
Muky9volt - 4/25/2015, 10:20 AM
I think it's too soon to judge. I like how much different the joker looks than anything ever seen on screen. I need more content to really decide my opinion. Undecided it is! Now all you crazy fanboys will trash the sh*t out of this now and love it later
