The mag features interviews with the cast and more than likely a few brand new stills too. Here are a few quotes from director Christopher Nolan, who says he is "very happy" with the Batman threequel..

“We want this to be the most exciting film, the most emotionally engaging and enjoyable blockbuster that an audience can see this summer,”

“I’m very happy with it. I know it’s the film I wanted to make. It does all the things I really hoped for. I look what everyone has done in the film and I think they’ve done a very good job — and I think I’ve done a good job not obscuring it.”

For more be sure to pick up the issue when it hits news stands this Friday, and head on over to the website (link below) for some insight from Christian Bale.

Batman looks really pissed at the EW logo.
LucasMend - 7/11/2012, 3:27 PM
Bane looks like a toy, not human at all in there! lol
Emanuel14 - 7/11/2012, 3:27 PM
for me, nothing is better than TASM
RorMachine - 7/11/2012, 3:30 PM
Really? For me Spider-Man was better than The Amazing Spider-Man:)
JDUKE25 - 7/11/2012, 3:30 PM
Nice cover.
superotherside - 7/11/2012, 3:32 PM
Can't wait for TDKR but EW really needs to work on their covers.
LucasMend - 7/11/2012, 3:36 PM
I agree with @Ror
WesleyGibson - 7/11/2012, 3:36 PM
Bats looks great but I agree with Lucas, first thing I thought was that Bane looked more like his action figure.
HarveyDent88 - 7/11/2012, 3:40 PM
What Ror said.
Fogs - 7/11/2012, 3:42 PM

MB007 - 7/11/2012, 3:44 PM
@RorMachine YES!! Finally someone who agrees with me!! :-)
AtomicChipmunk - 7/11/2012, 3:45 PM
We should ban people talking about Batman on a Spidey news and vice versa.
LoudNoises - 7/11/2012, 3:46 PM
I'll third what @Ror said.
DarthBob - 7/11/2012, 3:46 PM
Bane looks so stupid, this movie is going to suck and suck epically!
AtomicChipmunk - 7/11/2012, 3:47 PM
Also apply this rule to DC news/Marvel news.

Talking about Marvel in a DC news = ban
Talking about DC in a Marvel news = ban
marvel72 - 7/11/2012, 3:50 PM
all these comic book movie ew covers suck.
PersonaPostOvo - 7/11/2012, 3:50 PM

Ranger14 - 7/11/2012, 3:51 PM

LoudNoises - 7/11/2012, 3:51 PM

AsianVersionOfET - 7/11/2012, 3:55 PM
FU CK TO THE YEAH
AtomicChipmunk - 7/11/2012, 3:57 PM
lol I was just a little pissed with the ones bringing the bat on a spidey box office thread and the ones bringing spidey on the latest TDKR threads.

You had me at July 20th, 2012
Jollem - 7/11/2012, 4:06 PM
i liked ASM more than the avengers. i never was a fan of the avengers as far as the comics and didn't really know anybody who was. i did see the avengers 6 times tho

for me, it's a tie between ASM and spider-man 2

might require more viewings :)
CaptainObvious - 7/11/2012, 4:07 PM
@RorMachine- Thank you for saying that.
superherofan48 - 7/11/2012, 4:08 PM
I think Bane looks small because he is in the background.
TheBatman50k - 7/11/2012, 4:09 PM
Bane looks like he's going to rip somebody in half lol.
Spidey31 - 7/11/2012, 4:14 PM
TASM wipes the floor with spider-man, more emotion better, acting, and story telling hands down. Face it TASM kicks spidermans ass except for the score and that's it. TDKR is gonna be the best movie of the year I can already tell.
GuardianAngel - 7/11/2012, 4:16 PM
I wish I could forget any and all spoilers I've read for this movie.
GuardianAngel - 7/11/2012, 4:17 PM
@Spidey I agree but Spider-Man 2 beats them both.
backup - 7/11/2012, 4:18 PM
Spoilerish. I wish they had the foresight to mention that.
Joker08 - 7/11/2012, 4:18 PM
@Ror: Amen.
MovieMann - 7/11/2012, 4:21 PM
Avengers
TDK
BB
X men 1 and 2
X men first Class
Spiderman 2

... I can think of a lot of things better than The Amazing Spiderman
MovieMann - 7/11/2012, 4:21 PM
And I'm sure there is more than that
Jollem - 7/11/2012, 4:25 PM
i liked x-men 3 better than 1 and 2. see, this is where personal opinions become fun :)
RustyShackelford - 7/11/2012, 4:27 PM
This still isn't gonna be as good as Batman & Robin ;)
AtomicChipmunk - 7/11/2012, 4:27 PM
Agree with Spidey31.

TASM >>>> SM1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>SM2 and SM3

I am not a big fan of Nolan's Batman.

I was a little bit hyped, lost the hype but I will watch it anyway. TDKR is worth watching thanks to the MOS trailer attached. :D
Spidey31 - 7/11/2012, 4:30 PM
SM2 is still the best but IMO TASM is better its more of my taste
Spidey31 - 7/11/2012, 4:32 PM
And I think TASM is on par with BB
Hulk2008 - 7/11/2012, 4:32 PM
I am a 100% huge Marvel & Hulk fan and was so glad to see Avengers break all records at the box office, but I also love some of the DC characters (Supes & Bats #1) and honestly I hope to see TDKR meet or even succeed past TDK.

It is just as important to see TASM do as well as it is doing at the box office for the sake of bringing a higher demand of comic book movies (both Marvel and DC, though DC need to start catching up because Marvel is sitting so pretty right now).

I saw TASM last night and I thought it was great and maybe the best Spiderman yet, though i do love the 'Sam Raimi' triology.

Can't wait for TDKR and I hope it get to be as successful as Avengers. We need more comic book movies!! I'm rooting for both Marvel and DC comics
RorMachine - 7/11/2012, 4:38 PM
Well, opinions and all that..but I'd argue with most of em. More emotional? Not for me. I thought everything from Uncle Ben's death to Peter's emergence as a hero packed a far bigger emotional wallop than the re-treads we got in TASM. Acting..yeah I'd prob give Garfield the edge over Maguire, and Stone was excellent..but Ifans wasn't a patch on Dafoe..now was he? Story? Not by a long shot..how can a retelling of the exact same story be better than the original when it barely changes a single beat! The plot was also a jumbled mess, with plot points and arcs just abandoned out of the blue. I liked TASM for what it was (a remake of Spider-Man:) but it was pretty disappointing.
AsianVersionOfET - 7/11/2012, 4:39 PM
Why are we talking about Spiderman and The Avengers on a TDKR article? I'll never understand some of you people. Anyways, back ON TOPIC, I'm a subscriber to EW and I can't wait to get my greasy nubbins all over this thing when it comes in the mail!
braveone - 7/11/2012, 4:45 PM
is it the 20th yet???
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 7/11/2012, 4:49 PM
@RorMachine I agree that TASM was a disappointment.
TexasAvenger - 7/11/2012, 5:06 PM
@AsianVersionOfET Batman fans bring up TDKR is ASM and The Avengers articles too.

Badass cover, btw.
metroILman - 7/11/2012, 5:08 PM
"Batman's Killer Finale"

Is EW trying to tell us something?

metroILman - 7/11/2012, 5:28 PM
@1ArrowsGreen

LOL!
RustyShackelford - 7/11/2012, 5:30 PM
What is everyone is getting this whole Bane kills Batman thing backwards and the only way for Batman to stop Bane is to kill him. After killing him batman feels he is no better than the men he has been fighting this whole time and gives himself up to John Blake realizing that John is the hero that gotham deserves. It would also come back to Harvey Dents saying you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain. Well instead of dying a hero he sees himself as a villain.
CrimsonReign - 7/11/2012, 5:37 PM
Nolan's finale (the prestige if you will) is going to be phenomenal. I love his take on the Caped Crusader. However, I am looking forward to a reboot and to see a new director's take on the character. I would really like to see Bats don a gray or blue outfit for a change as well. For instance, the suit in Arkham City is awesome.
R888 - 7/11/2012, 5:38 PM
Batman looks badass
