Batman Begins told the definitive origin story of Batman. The Dark Knight brought us Heath Ledger's Oscar winning performance as The Joker. The Dark Knight Rises was an epic conclusion to the trilogy which finished Christopher Nolan's take on the Caped Crusader in true style. Over the course of three films, we followed Bruce Wayne's incredible journey, while also being introduced to many of the greatest Batman supporting characters and villains. Throw in some of the best actors in the business, incredible action and special effects, as well as a rousing theme courtesy of composer Hans Zimmer, and there can be no doubting the fact that The Dark Knight Trilogy will go down as one of the greatest ever. Here's your chance to decide which of them is your favourite!

Heath Ledger's inspiration for the Joker. MIND = BLOWN

I vote for TDKR by the way.
CaptainObvious - 7/29/2012, 10:03 AM
The Dark Knight.
rebellion - 7/29/2012, 10:03 AM
rises>>>>>life. and i'm going to see it again tonight.
Ranger14 - 7/29/2012, 10:04 AM
TDKR was my least favorite because I didn't care for watching a shell of a Batman being forced to save Gotham one more time.
Ryguy88 - 7/29/2012, 10:05 AM
TDK was my favourite but all 3 were excellent.
Angelus - 7/29/2012, 10:05 AM
I really liked Batman Begins but Bane made such an impression on me. But I'll vote Batman Begins, followed by The Dark Knight Rises then the Dark Knight. Loved them all. Great redefinitions of Batman, and iconic trilogy.
MrSuperheromoviefan - 7/29/2012, 10:09 AM
The Dark Knight is stil the masterpiece
marvel72 - 7/29/2012, 10:09 AM
batman begins & the dark knight are equal for different reasons,i thought the dark knight rises was good but has nothing the previous movies.

well apart from the best fight scene i.e bane vs batman round 1.

the dark knight rises is case of close but no cigar.
ALegendaryPanda - 7/29/2012, 10:10 AM
The Dark Knight Rises. But they were all epic as hell
JonathaNisMagnuM - 7/29/2012, 10:11 AM
wont be suprised if TDK wins but regardless BB is the greatest Batman movie ever. Its the only 1 that explains not only Bruce's motivations to become Batman, but the actual process. Said it before even Iron Man 1 took notes on how a hero actually designs the mechanics & specs it takes to be a superhero. Plus, BB was the only Batman film that focused on Batman & not a villain. & BB did greatat the Box Office w/o the help of a major supervillian & last after the horridness of Batman & Robin people were thinking this would be similar but BB not only proved em wrong but opened new doors for CBM's to be taken even more literally than they were already w/ x-men & spiderman. Batman Begins isnt just the best batman movie yet, its a benchmark in CBM's. Besides, w/o BB you wouldnt have gotten TDK or TDKR
fedup - 7/29/2012, 10:14 AM
I acknowledge that The Dark Knight is a better overall film than the Dark Knight Rises, but Rises is my favorite primarily for the emotional payoff. Just my opinion though.
whatevillurks - 7/29/2012, 10:15 AM
The Dark Knight, it reminded me of Batman:The Animated Series(still the best adaptation)with its organized crime angle. TDKR kind of felt like a Justice League Movie without the rest of the league.
rocky - 7/29/2012, 10:16 AM
Begins gets my vote. Finally a film about Batman and of course it had to be the one with the origin. Lots of potential depending where they go from here.....

...unfortunately the 2 sequels let me down. Yeah TDK gets a bump because of the Joker but IMO the Batman/Wayne character direction didn't do it for me. Not the way I see the true character obsessed with the mission ahead of anything and everything.
Oshk - 7/29/2012, 10:22 AM
First of all, as a new member, say Hi to everyone.

Like a hole, i should say the one i liked the most, would be Batman begins.
Rises was more fun for me and a good close, although i think is the one with more flaws for me.
Dark knight was a good psycho movie with an amazing joker. But it was kinda boring to me.
DrRockso - 7/29/2012, 10:24 AM
The Dark Knight Rises is The Empire Strikes Back of this trilogy.
Bread - 7/29/2012, 10:26 AM
I liked Begins the most but they were all brilliant

For me it goes like this:
BB
TDK
TDKR

My 2nd favorite trilogy, right behind Star Wars
JonathaNisMagnuM - 7/29/2012, 10:27 AM
ontop of my opinion & vote on Batman Begins I'll also say that BB had as well, the best version of the batman suit as well

GreenHalJordan - 7/29/2012, 10:31 AM
I already did this poll.
GreenHalJordan - 7/29/2012, 10:32 AM
But I would have to go with The Dark Knight.
LucasMend - 7/29/2012, 10:33 AM
The Dark Knight and Begins. TDKR was amazing, loved it, but didn't felt as good as TDK.
GreenHalJordan - 7/29/2012, 10:40 AM
@Pendaghast, I respect your opinion, though I completely disagree. This is one of the best trilogies ever!
Spidey31 - 7/29/2012, 10:48 AM
TDK and BB but the last scenes of TDKR was very epic.
OdinsBeard - 7/29/2012, 10:54 AM
Hmm decisions decisions...

Tdk
PINO - 7/29/2012, 10:54 AM
That's a really cool picture. TDK and TDKR are pretty much even in my book, but I'll give a slight edge to TDKR because of all the goosebump moments and how emotional it was. Also, I liked the way it neatly tied in to Batman Begins. They're all fantastic though. The greatest trilogy of all time, in my opinion.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 7/29/2012, 10:56 AM
I hope you know these polls are prone to cheating. All one has to do is delete their browsing history and vote again... Just a little FYI @Josh.

Begins all the way, it was the only true "Batman" film in the trilogy. It's a damn shame WB/DC gave Nolan as much freedom as they did with the sequels, that's truly why TDKR was as terrible as it was.

For TDK they should've moved away from the armor and just redesigned the suit.

AnonymousGuy - 7/29/2012, 10:59 AM
The fact that there is as much dispute as there is between which of the three is the best is a testament to how consistently incredible the films were.
AsianVersionOfET - 7/29/2012, 10:59 AM
At the moment it's TDKR. It may change with time however.
95 - 7/29/2012, 11:01 AM
Rises. I don't know. It's new and still in my mind. Plus I saw it in IMAX and it was an adrenaline rush. Definitely not the strongest or most important of the trilogy. But it was my favorite to watch.
GreenHalJordan - 7/29/2012, 11:04 AM
See, I just don't think that the tights over suit would work in CBM anymore. Before the Nolan films maybe, but even then it's hard to believe that a man who runs around with his underwear outside his suit is intimidating. Even in Arkham Assylum and City, it was still something that bugged me. I do think that more emphasis on the symbol on the suit because thats supposed to be the real eye catcher.
Minotauro - 7/29/2012, 11:04 AM
@GambitFreak - Man, he looks silly. Lol. Maybe in future installments will get something closer to the look. But not in Nolans films.
Tainted87 - 7/29/2012, 11:04 AM
Batman Begins. It actually felt like I was watching a Batman movie both times I saw it in theater.
SageMode - 7/29/2012, 11:05 AM
It's weird that the better of the 3 is the be that made the least amount of money BO wise. SMH
113 - 7/29/2012, 11:07 AM
Batman Begins was the most "comic-booky" of Nolan's trilogy. I think WB gave him more leeway to get even darker in the sequels because Begins was so good.

While Ledgers performance as Joker is legendary, if you take his performance out of the movie I don't think it holds up to the other two

I think Tom Hardy's performance as Bane is just as good and I just liked how everything got tied up so well. There were no loose ends.

1) Begins
2) TDKR
3) TDK
SageMode - 7/29/2012, 11:08 AM
*is the one that............
kenmac718 - 7/29/2012, 11:13 AM

I'm stuck between TDK and TDKR. The two movies are hard to compare for me. When it comes to the suit the "Begins" suit look 100% better. The new one looks too complicated. The only change it needed was the cowl so he could have more head movement.

SUPERBATSPIDERMAN - 7/29/2012, 11:16 AM
I love all of them equally for different reasons. Begins was an amazing origin story and probably the best origin story in CBMs, Dark Knight is one of the greatest sequels ever with one of the most iconic and terrifying versions of the Joker, and The Dark Knight Rises was a fantastic conclusion to the greatest CBM trilogy of all time.
angus666 - 7/29/2012, 11:18 AM
TDK and BB are closely tied for me.
Fenlion - 7/29/2012, 11:21 AM
Just a great trilogy and beautifully-told story of my favorite superhero
SageMode - 7/29/2012, 11:41 AM
I was really disappointed in how the second and third turned out. Batman Begins looked like it was headed to a promising trilogy that would lead to a TRUE CB interpretation of the Batman we all know and love, but....well, you know how that goes.

Hope this next trilogy delivers an unwatered-down Batman universe.
samsupes - 7/29/2012, 11:41 AM
@TheGambitFreak

Why did Nolan get so much creative control after BB?....

Batman Begins: $372 million
The Dark Knight: $1 billion
The Dark Knight Rises: On it's way to close to $1 billion

A shame to you but not to the studio
Equivocal - 7/29/2012, 11:46 AM
what a dumb poll...

you can't have one WITHOUT the other

TayDee - 7/29/2012, 11:49 AM
Its hard too choose because whoever decides to reboot this is gonna have a tough time retelling the origin from Batman Begins.

And Heath's performance as The Joker was amazing.

It's hard to choose but im gonna go with TDK
sbdc1939 - 7/29/2012, 11:55 AM
they were all 3 awesome im not gonna choose just one as my favorite
TheGothamKnight1939 - 7/29/2012, 12:04 PM
To me, making a decision is splitting hairs.
Batman Begins-9.6
The Dark Knight-9.7999...
The Dark Knight Rises-9.8
