BATMAN V SUPERMAN: The Batmobile Might Hit The Mean Streets Of, Uh, Detroit This August

A new report claims that Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will be shooting some action-packed scenes featuring "fast moving cars" in Detroit next month, meaning that we will more than likely get to see the new Batmobile in action! Hit the jump for further details...

Batman-News have spotted a report over at OLV in which they reveal that businesses near Detroit's Corktown district have been notified that a movie will be shooting around Shelby St from W Larned St to Lafayette and Fort Street from Woodward to Washington Blvd between August 6th - August 9th. It's obviously Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and residents have been warned to expect no explosions, but plenty of fast moving vehicles and smoke. There have been rumours of a Batmobile chase being shot sometime this summer, so it now seems very likely that we will indeed see the iconic vehicle in action as we did with the Tumbler and The Bat when The Dark Knight Rises was being filmed in New York and Chicago. This could even mean that we get a look at Ben Affleck on set dressed as the Caped Crusader, or it could be that we end up seeing very little at all! If you're in the area during these dates, be sure to send some photos out way...

They're probably also telling you that all the destruction, bleakness and run down buildings are for the film too, but that's just Detroit...

MrBlackJack - 7/17/2014, 6:51 PM
If Batman-News was reliable, then Tom Hardy would have been Hugo Strange, Catwoman would have been a stripper in TDKR, and she would have also had a helmet/cowl of sorts too.
GL - 7/17/2014, 6:51 PM
This is going to be the greatest movie of all time
SnapperCarr - 7/17/2014, 6:55 PM
@eleven59 lol too funny
Havenless - 7/17/2014, 6:57 PM

Nobody would last there. The Human body can only take so many diseases before it fails.
eleven59 - 7/17/2014, 7:07 PM
Those fast action scenes featuring fast moving cars will actually be footage of them getting jacked and driving away...saves money on the budget and gives it a realistic feel
Nomis - 7/17/2014, 7:08 PM
I want to see that mutha sped pas every cop car, take off an fly and then div into the ocean and turn into sub!

"This is going to be the greatest movie of all time"

This COULD be a great CBM. That's all I am going to go out on a limb and say at this time based on the limited info that we do know. People get on others here for saying a movie is going to suck before they have actually seen it, but the same goes for those who say it is going to be the greatest. No one actually knows until you see it and even then it is purely subjective.
FordEl - 7/17/2014, 7:15 PM

I'm side eying WB right now bc they could release this movie easily in August 2015 if they wanted to. I feel like theyre shooting two movies back to back or something.
GL - 7/17/2014, 8:01 PM
I know its probably not going to be the best of all time, but I'm just really excited for it. I've been a DC fanboy since I was born. This is like the second coming of Jesus for me.
Starfox - 7/17/2014, 8:13 PM
I know Zack Snyder is doing his research :) Hopefully we get something EPIC like this in the Film.
neihofft - 7/17/2014, 8:16 PM
Just remember..scenes with Batman....will probably be filmed at night. Dont expect great photos from all these website people who live on the outskirts of the sets lol
JAC - 7/17/2014, 8:26 PM
So is this confirmation that Justice League won't be shooting back to back w/ DOJ since the only filming we know of is up to December?
Starfox - 7/17/2014, 8:29 PM

back-to-back filming has been scooped about a dozen times. THR, Nikki Finke, Latino Review & Kevin Smith even let it drop.

Since JL won't come out until 2017 they have all next year to continue shooting. They got this news under lock and key though lol. ;)
JAC - 7/17/2014, 8:31 PM
@Starfox F*ck I almost forgot how long it is until it comes out hahaha. Whoops and thanks ;)
Starfox - 7/17/2014, 8:32 PM

LOL! no problem man.. Yeah it is gonna be a nice wait b4 we see any JL material but at least we got some awesome titles before then and great news coming.

Supes17 - 7/17/2014, 8:39 PM
I'd rather live in Gotham than Detroit
Jollem - 7/17/2014, 8:48 PM
@YoDawg - that'd be cool if they get every movie and tv show car in the cave
BatmanHeisenberg - 7/17/2014, 9:54 PM
Sounds cool.
Berserker187 - 7/17/2014, 10:04 PM
Is this really in detroit. tell me where an am taking it for a spin. just give me the address
Nivekian - 7/17/2014, 10:08 PM
I was hoping it would have 6 wheels, but from what I understand what the Batmobile in B V S really resembles is the Batman Beyond Batmobile.
