Batman/Superman: Scene To be Filmed Near Metamora

According to Metamora Township officials, Warner Bros are working on camp Metamora in preparation for the filming of the MOS sequel. Hit the jump foe more deatils...

We Know Zack's Man Of Steel sequel is scheduled to begin filming early next month. Now details of the first on location shoot have emerged. Filming will take place at the Camp Metamora, off the Caley Road according to the Man of Steel Fanpage website. The township fire chief Dave Eady spoke to the County press, "This is a major Hollywood thing. From what I understand, they’re already out there doing stuff. He goes on to say,"They were being pretty secretive and not telling anybody anything.” So we won't know what they will be filming there but let the speculation begin.

The website goes on to say that former camp buildings have all been torn down and the property is owned by Girl scouts and is currently vacant at the moment, according to Eady. “There’s a beautiful lake back there,” Eady told the County press. “They’re building a home for one scene. "All they’re doing is one scene there, then they’re going to tear everything down like they were never here”, He adds.

So there you have it folks, the anticipated MOS sequel begins filming early next month. However, it's highly unlikely we'll see some set photos because the folks over at the MOS fan page heard that security will be extra tight. What do yous think? Leave your thoughts down below.

Man, this is going to be my most anticipated film of 2015. 😭🙏 Seeing the line up for all 2015 seems like each film looks nearly impossible to disappoint fans. It'll be a year/summer to remember for sure!

cosmicman - 1/12/2014, 9:59 AM
We should use the original source then, not the page.

Just like reddit bans us, lol

@cosmicman

I first saw the info at that site, that's why I credited them. I won't change the source.
Malcopunch - 1/12/2014, 10:05 AM
Just wondering. Do you guys think Batman vs Superman is its actual title or is it Justice League?
ToxicCap - 1/12/2014, 10:13 AM
Wayne Manor. I'm calling it.

Nice spot, but I agree the source ought to be changed. MoS Fan Page didn't even find it on their own; they got it from Henry Cavill News.

If it was up to me i would make the Justice League Movie like Justice League: The New Frontier but set in Modern Day

The internet will have a meltdown lol xD

I just can't wait to get an official look. I hope they do an awesome viral campaign for this, maybe a mix of Luthor's propaganda against Supes, Bat sightings in Gotham, and May news articles about Trevor's disappearing while assigned to scientific team studying abnormal energy signatures coming from Persian Gulf.
XelCorp - 1/12/2014, 11:13 AM
I hope batman has some serious tech to take on Snyder's Superman.. Glad things are starting to kick off.. I'm pretty sure AOU begins filming in March.
Tajin88 - 1/12/2014, 11:13 AM
Can't wait, waiting since I am Legend for this.

BoneSawIsReady - 1/12/2014, 11:42 AM
I hope they don't introduce kryptonite with a serendipitous meteor shower in Lex's super private lakeside retreat.... that'd be just as disappointing as Spider-Man 3 when a symboite-laced meteor lands behind the scooter of the World's only super-powered being...

Raimi I am sorry you were dealt that hand
NovaCorpsFan - 1/12/2014, 11:48 AM
Sid

I think you're the new teabag.
Knightrider - 1/12/2014, 12:18 PM
@BoneSawsReady: Agreed, always disliked that in Spider-Man 3. Was. Little too Deus Ex Machina.

It is tricky to bring it into play, but I think it can be done...maybe Lex has been aggressively pursuing anything with alien origin. Or maybe they will take the comic route and he will use it to power Metallo only to see the effect it has on Supes.

Film could end with Supes giving Bats the Kryptonite shard.

However they do it, like you, I hope it just doesn't land at his feet.
rocky - 1/12/2014, 12:22 PM
How about saying where the eff Metamora is.
McNyagano - 1/12/2014, 12:28 PM
@rocky

It's in Woodford County, Illinois.
niceguyeddie - 1/12/2014, 12:32 PM
@MC Always credit the original source. That's like Yahoo Movies crediting a CBM.com article that's sourced from The Hollywood Reporter. C'mon man, no short cuts.
McNyagano - 1/12/2014, 12:44 PM
@niceguyeddie

Ok, I just thought I should credit where I got the info in the first place. I'll change it now.
niceguyeddie - 1/12/2014, 12:46 PM
@MC I appreciate you listening. Good catch on the Cage connection.
niceguyeddie - 1/12/2014, 12:48 PM

As long is there is a scene with Louis Lane strapped to railroad tracks I will be...

Is that the same as LAURA Croft?
DarthBacchus - 1/12/2014, 3:34 PM
Fanpage says house scenes willfbe filmed in Mantamura, Michigan not Metamora, Illinois. the filming of the kent farm will be in York,Illinois. both filming next month. Almost in my backyard
DarthBacchus - 1/12/2014, 3:59 PM
