MAN OF STEEL Star Amy Adams Performs Act Of Kindness For The Military

Earlier today, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star, Amy Adams ("Cruel Intentions 2"), gave up her first-class seat to a soldier in uniform. Come check it out.

"I didn't do it for attention for myself. I did it for attention for the troops." - Amy Adams
Earlier today, Amy Adams, star of Man of Steel and American Hustle, was on a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles. What made the flight special was that Oscar-nominated actress performed an act of kindness above and beyond the call of duty. She switched her first-class seat with a military serviceman who was supposed to be flying coach.

Jamele Hill, co-host of ESPN2's "Numbers Never Lie," was also a passenger on the flight and she witnessed the act of kindess. Here is her report:

"I noticed Ms. Adams was in first class and as I was getting seated, I saw the flight attendant guide the soldier to Ms. Adams' seat. She was no longer in it, but it was pretty clear that she'd given up her seat for him. I was incredibly impressed, and I'm not even sure if the soldier knew who gave him that seat. I guess he will now! Ms. Adams did it so quietly and quickly that it speaks to her character."

During the flight, Adams took time to meet with the soldier and thank him for his service.  Anyone that knows Amy's real-life story shouldn't be too surprised as the actress was an army brat. She was born in Vicenza, Italy, because that is where her father (Richard) was stationed. Her father also: graduated from West Point, became an army avaitor, and even did some acting on the side, here and there.

BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE - Zack Snyder will direct. It's written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. The film stars: Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The cast also includes: Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Ma Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Will arrive in theaters May 6, 2016.

Ramiel - 6/27/2014, 3:47 PM
She should have given that seat to a pregnant women instead or something. I'm not giving up my seat for a gov't puppet. And I say that as a former gov't puppet.

CherryBomb - 6/27/2014, 4:16 PM
Ah she's just so amazing literally.
People to on and on about Leo not winning an Oscar, and she's been nominated the same amount of times yet gets no recognition at all. They both deserve one.

Love her :)

ColonelKilgore - 6/27/2014, 4:26 PM

I'm sure you are forgetting when Christian Bale was yelling at that lighting tech.

Better humans just because their in DC movies? Come on.
DamienA - 6/27/2014, 4:32 PM
Class act by a class woman. She's a great actress as well.
ckal - 6/27/2014, 4:47 PM
Who [frick]ing cares? Oh yeah that's right, because it is a movie star who did it.

Regular people do this type of nice thing every single day, yet nobody ever cares and it doesn't make the news because it isn't someone famous who did it.

AlexanderLykins - 6/27/2014, 4:54 PM
Slow news day.
Niklander - 6/27/2014, 4:56 PM
@ckal well you arent famous unlike Amy Adams who is an actress who most actors out there are considered dicks that's why they covered it dude because she is famous and even besides her fame she did a nice act of kindess.Jealous much? LMAO
Pasto - 6/27/2014, 4:58 PM

U serious bro?
InfiniteMonkey - 6/27/2014, 4:58 PM
Damn, I thought she stripped for him.
ckal - 6/27/2014, 4:59 PM
What is disappointing is the fact that it's only all over the news because it was an actress who did it.

People are acting like she cured someone of cancer or something for christ sakes. She gave a man in the military her first class seat. Whoa!
ckal - 6/27/2014, 5:00 PM
Things like this shouldn't be seen as extraordinary kindness. It is sad we live in a world where kindness is rare enough that it must be news when it happens.
CaptShipwreck - 6/27/2014, 5:01 PM
Much respect , now get her some makeup stat
maninfinesuit - 6/27/2014, 5:02 PM
Bet she performs acts of kindness for the men of BvS daily. ;)

DamienA - 6/27/2014, 5:06 PM

MrReese - 6/27/2014, 5:10 PM
I wanna c Bruce hit on her in front of Clark.
pointman - 6/27/2014, 5:10 PM
Now if we could just get corporate America to treat Veterans with this kind of respect.
DrunkenNukem - 6/27/2014, 5:15 PM has become a generic propaganda to try to humanize actors...i know a lot of people that does true caring and doesn´t promote it on the media just to being "the attention" for 5 seconds

Mego - 6/27/2014, 5:20 PM
I spent 10 minutes helping a disabled senior citizen in a store today. I've let people with fewer items than me cut line in stores.

Where are the articles??? The fame???
