To say Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was a divisive film is an understatment to say the least. Even though the Ultimate Edition has been receiving relatively better marks amongst fans, one thing viewers will likely never agree on for generations to come is the titular battle between the Bat of Gotham and the Son of Krypton, which while showcasing flashes of epic hand-on-hand combat, was resolved in what can best be described as a controversial manner when Clark Kent revealed the name of his mother ("You're killing Martha") to a Bruce Wayne hellbent on delivering a fatal blow to the fallen God, which, when paired with Lois Lane's timely intervention, causes the Bat to have a change of heart.
