More From MAN OF STEEL 2 Costume Designer On His "New Look" For WONDER WOMAN

We've heard a little from costume designer Michael Wilkinson on this already, but while speaking to the New York Times he talks about creating a new look for Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) while sticking to his usual approach. What is that? Click on to find out.

We have heard rumors that Diana would be sporting some type of armor for Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman themed sequel to Man Of Steel, but short of that we haven't had too much to go on. Wonder Woman has worn different types of armor-type outfits in the past, and after all it was never too much of as stretch to assume that her first ever big screen appearance would not see her kitted out in her original short-shorts and skimpy top from the comics. But, it sounds as if we'll be getting a completely new look for the character - not seen in comic books or live action before. Here's what Michael Wilkinson had to say to the NY Times.

"I have been given the opportunity to tackle a wide range of genres with my work: big superheroes, gritty contemporary, epic period, science fiction. It keeps me stimulated and challenged as an artist. At the moment, I’m designing the costumes for ‘Batman vs. Superman.’ It’s an honor to be creating new looks for such iconic characters as Wonder Woman. The interesting thing is that my approach is always the same, no matter the genre or the period. I’m using the same tools — silhouette, fabric, color, drape – to help tell the story and illuminate the inner life of the characters."

I really hope we get an official look at Supes, Bats, and WW soon
TheRationalNerd - 1/14/2014, 5:02 PM
I wonder how they'll work her into getting the entire star spangled costume? Will the public within the films influence this costume?
BaneSmash - 1/14/2014, 5:05 PM
That would look sick.
TheRationalNerd - 1/14/2014, 5:06 PM

GeekyCheekyChic - 1/14/2014, 5:06 PM

JoeMomma29 - 1/14/2014, 5:06 PM
I am sure they are going to go with pants which is what I prefer. Just like Batman and Superman, WW needs to be updated.
whoa123 - 1/14/2014, 5:07 PM
@Batmaniac- Wow that's perfect.
BANEofExistence - 1/14/2014, 5:07 PM
@BATmaniac- that looks amazing! Im more intrestedin seeing Bat-fleck as Batman and getting confirmed villains (Phoenix as Luthor?) (Cumberbatch as Brainiac?) One can hope!
JoeMomma29 - 1/14/2014, 5:08 PM
Maybe they can do a Disney style.......

MexicanSexyman - 1/14/2014, 5:08 PM
I wouldn't mind seeing Wonder Woman in her underwear for one one scene.
BaneSmash - 1/14/2014, 5:09 PM
Joe - Disney style.......lol
SuperCat - 1/14/2014, 5:13 PM
Faora looked sexy in her armor. So I'm sure WW will look fine.

JoeMomma29 - 1/14/2014, 5:17 PM
Personally I hope we get something like this.

Bearjew - 1/14/2014, 5:18 PM
Blah blah blah
TheRationalNerd - 1/14/2014, 5:18 PM
@Joe

Could really work as well!
JoeMomma29 - 1/14/2014, 5:20 PM
Sorry guys but she will end up pants which I am totally fine with that. Faora look awesome in MOS so I can only imagine how WW is going to look.
JoeMomma29 - 1/14/2014, 5:22 PM
@ Batmaniac

I agree but it is out of date, her costume needs to be updated. That outfit you posted will be great if they are doing a flashback of her on her island fighting etc......
MarkV - 1/14/2014, 5:25 PM
NO PANTS
MarkV - 1/14/2014, 5:27 PM
Also the article does NOT say the following:

"But, it sounds as if we'll be getting a completely new look for the character - not seen in comic books or live action before."

This is just imaginary journalism. Just making shit up.
JoeMomma29 - 1/14/2014, 5:28 PM
I think they should go the B & Y route.

Bailkurn44 - 1/14/2014, 5:28 PM
Looks awesome
MarkV - 1/14/2014, 5:30 PM
Agree again, Batmainiac. Wonder Woman works best when she's kind of in your face. When she has a chip on her shoulder. Showing a little skin seems to go along with that character trait.
McNyagano - 1/14/2014, 5:30 PM
@Batmaniac

I would be happy with that too. That looks sick!!!
Enphlieuwince - 1/14/2014, 5:34 PM

TheWolverine08 - 1/14/2014, 5:45 PM
Should be interesting to say the least.
Starfox - 1/14/2014, 5:46 PM
@nikgrid Nice!
Starfox - 1/14/2014, 5:47 PM
@JoeMomma29 Idk why that pic automatically made me think of Mylie
Bekss - 1/14/2014, 5:50 PM
Haha. Every time someone makes an image of Gadot in a WW costum to show that she fits the character they change her body giving her more muscle or boobs and everyone says "yeah, see? She's a good choice" and it's very funny.
JoeMomma29 - 1/14/2014, 5:51 PM
I am not sure about Blackjack's WW outfit!!!!!!
