He in my opinion is the best casting choice out of everyone in the movie. I wonder if this version will have served in the Queen's army.

Lol. When has Jeremy Irons been the life of the party? Michael Caine and the original actor who played Alfred are already better. Irons won't live up to it if Snyder/Goyer/Terrio don't give him any sarcastic/snarky humor.

Irons is a fantastic actor. His traditional style mixed with Chris Terrio's script could make him an awesome Alfred. I think we forget that Argo's script had some very hilarious moments.

Just saw Snowpiercer. Those 2 people at the end are dead, five minutes after the credits roll and you know it. Unless they run back to the train.

Michael Caine was awesome (seriously, that's probably going to be on his headstone, after he dies). Jeremy Irons, however, just has that presence of someone who has "seen some shit" and is capable of fighting his own battles. Like Caine, he brings a gravitas to the role. I think he will, at the least, EQUAL Michael Caine's performance. At least, I hope he will.
