Ray Fisher Cast As 'Cyborg' In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

In rather unexpected casting news, it's been reported that theater actor Ray Fisher will play Victor "Vic" Stone, better known as Cyborg, in Zack Snyder's untitled Batman/Superman film. Check it out

With production on Batman vs. Superman gearing up in Detroit, Michigan, Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder have reportedly been testing actors for yet another Justice League character to appear in the Man of Steel follow-up. According to Variety, relatively unknown thesp Ray Fisher will join the ensemble cast playing none other than Victor "Vic" Stone, aka Cyborg. The source notes that he doesn't play a major part in Batman vs. Superman, but Cyborg will "become a much more significant role as Warner and D.C. develop more films related to the Justice League universe."

UPDATE: The folks at The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed Ray Fisher's casting, and added that when Warner Bros. first began looking for an actor to play Victor Stone several months ago, the part only "called for one scene" and promised more in the future. However, it's unknown if the role is still limited to just one scene in the Batman/Superman movie. What do you think?

Tentively titled Batman vs. Superman, the movie is directed by Zack Snyder from a story by David Goyer and screenplay by Chris Terrio, and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey, with Holly Hunter, Laurence Fishburne, and Jeremy Irons. And as of right now, the film is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.

I love the way DC/WB is doing it

They are basically doing the team up first then the solos
It's brilliant

"I fiercely dislike the idea of just throwing in more people for the sake of doing that," said Avengers: Age of Ultron writer-director Joss Whedon in the latest issue of Empire mag.

he may have a point.

CherryBomb - 4/24/2014, 3:36 PM
I'm really happy with their castings.
They're out of the box, they're not picking overused fan favourites.
they're completely surprising us and the casting of an unknown actor for Cyborg as well as Gal Gadot as WW are decisions that take balls. I applaud you WB/DC
typicalfanboy - 4/24/2014, 3:36 PM
football? you mean ray FINKLE? laces out, cyborg.
Abary - 4/24/2014, 3:36 PM
I mean, I know the football play, but I doubt this is him... right? SHOW US A PICTURE GOSH DARNIT.
GreenLantern519 - 4/24/2014, 3:36 PM
What the hell? That was unexpected. Maybe we'll get an official press release tomorrow.
TheDarkPassenger - 4/24/2014, 3:37 PM
God damn it, I don't want him to be a part of the Justice League.
Brainiac13 - 4/24/2014, 3:37 PM
Fisher, repped by ICM Partners, is more known for his theater roles including the Broadway play “Fetch Clay, Make Man” where he portrayed Muhammad Ali.
Brainiac13 - 4/24/2014, 3:38 PM
Nappa - 4/24/2014, 3:38 PM
Should have cast Nathan Fillion
AsgardianHobo - 4/24/2014, 3:38 PM
wasn't this movie originally supposed to be MoS 2? I'm curious to how many changes have been done recently to fit these characters in. And I also wonder if it was planned all along, or are they changing things as they go?
rockerdude22 - 4/24/2014, 3:38 PM
This is starting to sound more and more like a Justice League film rather than just a Bats and Supes team-up flick. Then again, this could be just a cameo to set Cyborg up for future flicks.
Starfox - 4/24/2014, 3:38 PM
Like I said before: Snyder likes to cast those unknown wild Card Actors/Actresses. Which is good because you associate them with the Character.
