Scoot McNairy Talks Working With Zack Snyder On BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

The Argo actor confirms he has a role without giving any details, but also praises the "awesome and incredible energetic" director of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Check it out after the jump!

"It’s been great; I’m still in the middle of it actually," Scott McNairy told Issue Magazine of his first blockbuster role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Reports surfaced back in June that the 12 Years a Slave actor was joining the Man of Steel follow-up in a mystery role that even major Hollywood insiders couldn't reveal given they were "sworn to secrecy." Of course, instead of discussing his character, McNairy went on to praise the film's director. "Zack Snyder is awesome. He was one of the director’s on my list. Working with him has been great. It’s not too different working on a studio movie, except there’s more people and more money and more time. In regards to the process that I go through as an actor, it’s exactly the same. Snyder has so much energy. I’ve never seen someone with such energy before. He’s shooting and writing and editing and then goes to the gym twice a day. He’s incredibly energetic and I don’t know how he does it. It’s contagious. I was going to the gym every day as well." What do you think?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter. The film, written by Chris Terrio from David S. Goyer's screenplay, and directed by Zack Snyder, hits May 6, 2016!

GreenLantern519 - 7/25/2014, 5:45 PM

Maybe he's playing a future JL member? Or maybe he's just inspired to be in shape.
Desrow - 7/25/2014, 5:45 PM
"I was going to the gym every day as well."

Considering how many advertisements were in MoS, maybe Snyder will throw a 5-Hour Energy one in this movie somewhere. He seems to be on something!
DaVinci31 - 7/25/2014, 5:45 PM
Snyder is a beast, though . . . .

Omarvls - 7/25/2014, 5:45 PM
The Flash?
MrPrime - 7/25/2014, 5:46 PM

Oliver queen smiles in the Arrow teaser apparently.

Sometimes people just go to the gym because they don't want to be fat slobs that die when they're 45. Just throwing that out there.
AlexanderLykins - 7/25/2014, 5:48 PM
Calm down man!

Omarvls - 7/25/2014, 5:49 PM

That is the best GIF EVER!!!!

OnePunchBaldy - 7/25/2014, 5:50 PM
I always wondered why Zack always looked so ripped sometimes.
AlexanderLykins - 7/25/2014, 5:50 PM
I hit the gym every single day and I only do one workout.....

BlackIceJoe - 7/25/2014, 5:51 PM
I'm most likely the only one that sees it but I think he'll be Maxwell Lord.

I'll die early, as long as I don't have to struggle at the gym 2 times a day! But lucky for me, I get plenty of cardio!

AlexanderLykins - 7/25/2014, 5:51 PM
Practicing my superhero landing.

AlexanderLykins - 7/25/2014, 5:53 PM
I'm going to die early because I never do cardio. I hate running. Give me something incredibly heavy and tell me to lift it. I do play a half hour of basketball after work though.
blackandyellow - 7/25/2014, 5:55 PM
LMAO Alex. I'd watch that guy at the gym all day long.
Starfox - 7/25/2014, 5:55 PM

Ya'll heard it here first.

[frick]ing hell I didn't realize Snyder was that big.
Klone - 7/25/2014, 5:59 PM
Like Snyder as a director or not he certainly comes across as a very nice nice person.
Jollem - 7/25/2014, 5:59 PM
haha. stoopid nolanites!

AlexanderLykins - 7/25/2014, 6:00 PM
Yeah, I stopped going to the gym months ago. Mainly because of the constant fights. Finally bought my own squat rack and adjustable bench press. The only problem is that now my garage is the neighborhood gym. Every time my neighbor sees me working out he walks in and spots me. Then he proceeds to lift with me.
Omarvls - 7/25/2014, 6:03 PM
Some say another Batman

We have not seen the EPICNESS that Snyder will bring to the Dark Knight

We will finally see the true Batman
JAC - 7/25/2014, 6:05 PM
Anyone else a little sad we didn't get another shot from the Trinity pic today?
Omarvls - 7/25/2014, 6:05 PM

Do one of your EPIC Trinity Photos
to get us ready for tomorrow

Jollem - 7/25/2014, 6:07 PM
you guys didn't realize how awesome snyder was?

makes an awesome zombie flick that causes a zombie pop-culture explosion right off the bat, then makes a movie based on a frank miller work, then a movie based on an alan moore story. are you kidding me?
AsgardianHobo - 7/25/2014, 6:09 PM

I think they said that they won't be using post-credit scenes, but cliffhangers instead.

The Dawn of the Dead remake was pretty epic imo, especially for it's time. You may be right about it kick-starting the modern zombie craze.
Jollem - 7/25/2014, 6:10 PM
@Omarvls - knight, death and the devil. epic trinity

blackandyellow - 7/25/2014, 6:10 PM
Alex, start lifting naked. Problem solved.
Omarvls - 7/25/2014, 6:11 PM
I still think Snyder's best work so far

Top 5 CBM of all time
Omarvls - 7/25/2014, 6:11 PM

That is a creepy but cool pick
