THE FLASH Now Reportedly Confirmed For Appearance In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

Is this movie Batman Vs. Superman or Justice League? Hot on the heels of the news that Gal Gadot will be playing 'Wonder Woman' in the Zack Snyder helmed follow-up to Man of Steel, Variety has now confirmed earlier reports that The Flash will also make an appearance!

Buried in Variety's report about Gal Gadot being cast as Wonder Woman (you can read more on that - including the first comments on the news from director Zack Snyder - by clicking HERE) is confirmation from Variety that 'The Flash' will indeed make an appearance in Batman Vs. Superman. However, with the site promising cameos from "several" other members of DC's superhero team (more on both that and which 300 star Warner Bros. are looking at for the villain can be found HERE), you would be forgiven for thinking that this is in fact a Justice League movie! It's worth noting that while they say that Wonder Woman and The Flash are now locks, they don't know whether that will entail a "significant role or a cameo".

Of course, this leads us to wonder (no pun intended) exactly what Warner Bros. have up their sleeve for "Batman Vs. Superman". With rumours that 'Doomsday' will also be featured, will we kick things off with the World's Finest, only to see them later joined by the rest of the Justice League? That would of course lead perfectly into a movie featuring the entire superhero team! However, with 'The Flash' also now confirmed, it's inevitable that fans will be speculating about whether or not we'll see Grant Gustin in this role, especially as the first season of the CW series will have only just ended - providing it gets a full season order - by the time Batman Vs. Superman is released.

The Wonder Woman, Flash, potential Cyborg and so on and so on should be limited to cameos.

The premise was enough with Bats and Supes. Let this pave the way for a future JL film.
ForeverPowerful - 12/4/2013, 10:33 AM
Yeah, don't do too much too fast. It never works out.
charlie2094 - 12/4/2013, 10:33 AM
Man of Steel 2 will happen after this film, this is almost certainly a Justice League film

With Superman and Batman, Wonder Woman just cast and now Flash (potentially Gustin from Arrow) there's no doubt that the Nightwing rumours were true and that this is a Justice League film. They said Snyder would direct a Justice League if MOS worked...unless they're planning on having lots of cameos, this is a Justice League film with solo films to spin out of it
ChrisEl - 12/4/2013, 10:34 AM
DudeGuyMan, That's just awesome.
KingPatel - 12/4/2013, 10:34 AM
I think this this movie will either establish the Justice League or it will basically set that movie up with an end credits teaser like the first Iron Man set up the Avengers.

After watching Man of Steel again, I have high hopes for this film, but I'm hoping it doesn't become another Iron Man 2 with all these setups for the future.

Also on another note, Man of Steel is considerably better in the second viewing.
ChrisEl - 12/4/2013, 10:35 AM
I have a feeling that this was not planned, and the script was not working like WB wanted to. WB doesn't plan. They're like the Joker. They just do things.
Nick56 - 12/4/2013, 10:36 AM
Its a Man of Steel sequel with Batman in it and cameos from Wonder Woman and Flash (most likely not in costume). Is that really so hard for people to wrap their heads around?
ChrisEl - 12/4/2013, 10:37 AM
I also think that this will push the releast date back by as much as a year.
ChrisEl - 12/4/2013, 10:38 AM
Look, all I want is MOS 2
Nick56 - 12/4/2013, 10:39 AM
FIrst people complain that DC isn't doing anything with their properties, then they announce Batman/Superman with likely WW and Flash cameos to set up stand alone films/JL and people still complain. I dont understand fanboys sometimes.
Nick56 - 12/4/2013, 10:40 AM
@ChrisEl if the rumored titles are anything to go by then this is a Man of Steel sequel with a supporting role from batman and a couple cameos (cameos are very common in CBMs) Whats wrong with that?
ChrisEl - 12/4/2013, 10:41 AM
Nick56, if you correct thent there is nothing wrong with this at all. I'm just coming at this as a Superman fan who wants the Man of Steel to get a proper sequel. But you raise a good point.
ElmoTheThird - 12/4/2013, 10:42 AM
They'll probably all appear towards the end in order to lead into the Justice League Film.
SpiderParker - 12/4/2013, 10:42 AM
[frick] you Snyder... You ruined MOS and now this shit.
Pasto - 12/4/2013, 10:44 AM
This is awesome. Don't use Gustin though, dude sucks ass.
NovaCorpsFan - 12/4/2013, 10:44 AM
Okay now this is getting ridiculous.
Maestro - 12/4/2013, 10:45 AM
uuuum, wtf? Does dc have a plan?
DarkGrifter - 12/4/2013, 10:46 AM
I'm going to be incredibly pissed off if we end up getting Justice League: lite.
Maestro - 12/4/2013, 10:46 AM
What about that same flash show that was just recently announced? Are we going to have two Flash's?

Lol oh my god dc somehow managed to [frick] up their universe before it even began. Even fox wasn't this bad.
Nomis - 12/4/2013, 10:47 AM
jlabatman - 12/4/2013, 10:47 AM
Wow Flash and WW, shit is getting real!
charlie2094 - 12/4/2013, 10:51 AM

Chance's are it'd be Gustin in the film as well, doubt they'd introduce two Flash's around the same time. They did pull the Flash "origin" episode out of Arrow (mean't to be episode 21 I think) so that could be because they want to cover it in a film or something...could see it working

Sure this is just a Justice League film and always was...either that, or there's a lot of cameos
McNyagano - 12/4/2013, 10:51 AM

Slow down WB/DC, jesus -.- Take your time and the pay-off will be worth it.
Gnyah123 - 12/4/2013, 10:51 AM
im sure all of these rumors with gal as WW and flash are just CAMEOS!
so dont start bitching people!!
THE MAIN FOCUS of this movie will be SUPERMAN first then batman!!!
its a MOS sequel so dont start bitching about characters
we do not even know if ANY OF THESE ARE TRUE!!
ill wait til comic con til we get footage!!
so until then all this is false to me
MarkV - 12/4/2013, 10:52 AM

ALegendaryPanda - 12/4/2013, 10:52 AM
Good god! I can't handle all of this!!
DarkGrifter - 12/4/2013, 10:53 AM
In the meantime I'm going to cover my ears and quietly bang my head against the table until this all blows over.
Nomis - 12/4/2013, 10:53 AM
So some of you complained when you thought WB/DC is not doing anything with their movies.

And now your'e complaining that they are doing too much????
JoeMomma29 - 12/4/2013, 10:54 AM
@ Nomis

Bunch of complainers and a bunch of Marvelites who are now starting to feel some fear from DC creeping up!
TheWolverine08 - 12/4/2013, 10:54 AM
What the hell?
Pasto - 12/4/2013, 10:54 AM
*Me after hearing all this DC news*

Hopefully won't be the Glee guy.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 12/4/2013, 10:55 AM
Holy shit stop. How about this WB, makes a flash movie and a WW movie separate.
jlabatman - 12/4/2013, 10:55 AM
So who is playing the Flash then?
SuperDan89 - 12/4/2013, 10:56 AM
Flash! Ahhhhahhh saviour of the universe!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 12/4/2013, 10:56 AM
Cameos [frick]ing only please. As small as Carol Ferris in Man of Steel.
AC1 - 12/4/2013, 10:56 AM
"What do you think Batman Vs Superman really is?"

A cluster[frick] the way things are headed. I hope I'm wrong.
DutchMovieFan - 12/4/2013, 10:57 AM
@Desrow The only one bringing up Marvelites in the thread seems to be you. Seriously, the word isn't mentioned once in the comments until you did.

Anyway, hopefully this will work, but if, and that is a big if, their tv shows (other than Arrow, maybe Flash) don't work, their small budget movies don't appeal to the GA and the big budget ones just don't work for them either, they could overuse and maybe kill the comic multi media genre. We'll see how it works out, I hope for the best.
Tevii - 12/4/2013, 10:57 AM
So much for the cool build up... they just killed the exciting anticipation that made Avengers the third biggest movie in history. If they built the anticipation correctly, a GREAT JLA movie would knock Avatar off the pedestal
